Snowlglobe Gift Card
I have been MIA for a couple of days sick with a winter cold. GGRRRR. Friday and most of Saturday was spent between the recliner, couch, and bed. On top of that I had put myself down to work ICU Sat night since they needed help. I did this long before I was sick so when the day approached I was really praying they would NOT need me but as luck would have it I was needed. The night was quiet thank goodness. Suday was sunday school, church, lunch followed by a short nap and then to church to watch 5 of the grands in a Christmas play. Not much sleep for me until after midnight thanks to my cough. I will be so thankful when this is out of my system.
I did find the energy to go to the cave this morning so this is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 356 - Snowglobe and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 149 - Sketch Inspired and last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 353 - Cobbler Cake Always. I stamped the globe on white then folded and cut the gift card in the shape of the image leaving the bottom on the fold. I stamped the snowman, colored with copics, added some white liquid applique then heated it from the back to make it puff up. I needed a gift tag so I stamped the to: from: out of the All Year Cheer II sentiments in cherry cobbler. Hope you like it. Bad as I feel it was fun to make and now off to work I go.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Snowglobe, All Year Cheer II
Paper: white
Ink: momento black, cherry cobbler

A Buttony Christmas Tree
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 352 - Very Real & Wild.
This is also for Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 147 - Ways To Use Twine where I have used my red & white bakers twine as garland around my tree.
I saw soo many fabulous and creative creations from Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 354 - Button Art that I had to do another. I did manage to find enough buttons but not all in the same color so I had to mix it up a bit. I think it gives the tree more pizzaz, what do you think? LOL
Anyway after adhering all of those buttons to some wild wasabi cs I decided to trim around the tree rather than a square panel so I did the same with some real red cs for a matt.
My dp is from Happy Holidays pack from Recollections. Man do they know some dp. I love me some Recollections.
That is it for now, see ya tomorrow for another day in the life of a challenge junkie ;)

My layout is from today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 146 - Sketch inspired by resqbarbie.

My tag sentiments came from a Stampin' Up sets of All Year Cheer stamped in Momento Rhubarb Stalk and then distressed the edges with it as well.

Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 350 - Blushing Pear Mist;

What is Christmas without Frosty?
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 352 - Let's Make Snow and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 145 - Christmas/Winter.
Well I just can NOT have a Snowy Christmas Winter without my Frosty. This is a classic, although retired, set from Stampin Up that I will never get tired of using or seeing.
My color combo is from last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 349 - Lucky Coral Breezes.
I stamped the snowflake image in baja breeze on the white base for my background then keeping it in a CAS style used my copic marker for a faux matt look.
My image was stamped in momento tuxedo black then colored with copics and covered with stickles.
I used polar white flower soft under frosty for snow.
Hope you like it, I sure did like how this turned out. Happy Monday all.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Frosty
Paper: white, calypso coral
Ink: momento tuxedo black, baja breeze, calypso coral
Accessories: stickles, flower soft - polar white
Techniques: create a background, faux snow, copic coloring

Let's Be Merry
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 359 and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 349 - Lucky Coral Breezes. I wish I had some lucky breezes from the seaside right now. I could use theme. Our temps are back up in the high 80's and the AC unit switched from heat to cool. gggrrr. Ya know what happens to 60+ year olds when it is high of 50 one day and then 84 the next? You guessed it a visit to the local hospital for room and board. Bless their hearts it is just not easy to adapt to those drastic changes like that.
So today my mission is to be Merry no matter what. Pray exceedingly for me. LOL. With all that is going on away from work and at work my knees are worn out.
I have not used this stampin' up stamp set but 1 time I think and it needed some lovin' today, seriously I turned around and that set was sticking out further than the others like it was saying "pick me, oh please pick me". LOL
I stamped the hat in calypso coral then cut it out leaving a white boarder, I added some stickles to the tip and Polar White fun flock to the brim then popped it up on dimesionals on the white panel where my sentiment was stamped also in calypso coral, matt is calpso coral cs.
I stamped 3 snowflakes in baja breeze then punched them out with a 1 inch punch and matted on baja breese cs. My dp panel is matted with lucky lemonade cs.
Hope you like it and have a fabulous MERRY Wednesday cause I plan to.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Merry - SU
Paper: white, calypso coral, baja breeze, lucky lemonade, MME winter dp
Ink: calypso coral, baja breeze
Accessories: stickles, fun flock, dimensionals

Baby Shower Tees
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVER CHALLENGE # 351 - It's A Wrap.
This is also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 239 - Party for which I will be attending this weeked - baby shower.

So I stamped the Baby Tees jumbo wheel using tempting turquoise ink then colored with prisma color pencils and blended with gamsol blending medium. I am always looking for new and unique ways to give gift cards. I do not always want to just stick one in a card. I will attach the gift card to the lid and fill the tin with some sort of goodies.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Baby Tees
Paper: tempting turquoise
Ink: white
Accessories: twine, prismacolor pencils, gamsol blending medium

Thankful Snowman DP
This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE # 249 - Itsapassion (aka) Anne. I have shared DT spots with Anne and not only is she a fabulous crafter but a wonderful person as well. Congrats to you today Anne, enjoy the spotlight.
I chose to CASE Anne's MERRY & BRIGHT snowman card changing the layout, cut out my snowman from my dp to sub for her chipboard snowman, and left off a theme because this is also for Friday's FREE FOR ALL CHALLENGE # 90 - Grateful Little Things. Well I have always loved snowman bc they seem to have their arms stretched open wide allowing for anyone to come in, I love that concept and so this is a BIG THANK YOU to ALL of the challenge hostess here at SCS who help support my addiction. I have filled in on a few challenges in the past and found it quite stressful. I can not image having to do it every week. Hat's off to all of you ladies. My twist is my scissors & copics. Lately I can not seem to make anything without either one of them, I even used my copics to change the color of the snowman scarf.
My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 358.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 348 - Krafty Cajun Turquoise.
I used some My Minds Eye dp for panel 2 and my snowman was cut out of the dp for panel 4. NO stamping was used but there will tomorrow (I hope). Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 350 - No Stamping Allowed was a fun one but I am ready to put ink to rubbah again.
Happy Sunday all.
RECIPE:
Stamps: none :(
Paper: crumb cake, MME Winter Wonderland dp
Ink: tempting turquoise

Christmas Wrap with Treat Holder
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 348 - Krafty Cajun Turquoise.
I used Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 143 - Sketch Inspired by stagccva aka Taylor for my layout and and played along again with Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 350 - No Stamping. I have had nightmares since reading Joan's challenge. That line about "what would happen if all my/your stamps disappeared....GASP!!!" OMGosh what would I do? So today I went with my 2nd idea I had which was to use wrapping paper. I found this fun Christmas wrap in my stash that looks more like a display isle at walmart than storage in my closet. LOL.
I also included last Friday's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 89 - 6 Inches of Fun. I love these little treat holders. I had to use my copic to have ribbon the color I needed.
I have a busy day at work with the 1st day of Computerized Physician Order Entry. They are NOT excited and I am terrified that something will not work right which will give them the amunition they need to refuse to comply.
RECIPE:
Stamps: None
Paper: tempting turquoise, crumb cake, Christmas wrap

Accessories: ribbon, copics, Fiskars Snowflake Punches

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 350 - No Stamping Allowed **GASP** and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 143 - Sketch by stagccva aka Taylor.
Love this sketch Taylor and thanks Jenn for using it today. Man I could do all my cards for this season in no time using just cs and dp like this. Wheh, took longer to cut and emboss the sentiment than anything else. LOL.
I used some ruby red and wild wasabi cs with some WalMart Christmas glitter dp I got several years ago. One shee for panel 2 and another I cut and embossed the sentiment from then with the Nestie Banner in place I sponged some ruby red ink. The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals.
Now it is 3:30am and I have to be up in hour for work so I think I will check out the bob tube to see what I can find to entertain myself with. I hate insomnia nights. gggrrrr
RECIPE:
Paper: ruby red, wild wasabi, WM Holiday Glitter pak
Ink: ruby red
Accessories: dimensionals

Christmas Wish List
This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 248 - 1 wacky woman Karen's has some amazing creations to choose from and I was inspired by her SCHOOL DAYS. I changed the colors, theme and images but loved the list idea so I created a magnetic wish list for me to place on the fridge (just to put out some suttle hints mind you, LOL.
I used some Recollections "Happy Holidays" dp I just got Friday on a shopping trip with dh and matted it on some red cs. I trimmed the edge with my Fiskars border punch. I used a Marvy Mega scallop punch for the white panel.
My darling image is one I just found Friday from "Designed 2 Delight" digi website. I think this pup is just tooo precious. I printed, colored, and cut him 2 times and popped the santa hat up on dimensionals then popped the entire image up on dimensionals on the scallop circle. I covered the brim and ball on the hat with flower soft.
The "Wish List" panel was stamped in always artichoke on white using a stamp set I designed for Ashley when we worked together on "TREEHOUSE STAMPS" which has since then closed. I traced over the sentiment and numbers with Spica red glitter pen.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 347 - More Burgandy Artichokes.
I love how this turned out and hope you do too.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Believe - D2D, Wish List - THS
Paper: white, red, Recollections -dp
Ink: always artichoke
Accessories: dimensionals, copics, Fiskars Border Punch, Marvy Circle Scallop, Flower Soft - Polar White

Stanley's Ssspecial Wissshes
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 347 - More Burgundy Artichokes.
My layout is from Monday's MOJO MONDAYS' SKETCH CHALLENGE # 213.
I have sadly been neglecting my other stamps and am trying to show them some lovin. I buy these images because they appeal to me then don't use them. Hoping to change that habit of mine.
I stamped "Stanley the Snake" from High Hopes on vanilla twice using momento rich cocoa then colored him with copics, cut him out and popped him and the 2 flowers up on dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in always artichoke then cut with Stampin Up's large oval punch and doddled around the edge with bravo burgundy marker.
I cut the artichoke circle then dry embossed with Vitorian embossing folder in my cuttlebug machine. My dp is from DCWV Safari Chic stack.
I LOVE how this turned out and hope you do too.

Stamps: Stanley Snake, Ssspecial Wisshes - High Hopes

Winter Wonderland
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 349 - Telescoping Image. I am not sure if I did this correct or not but here it is. I cut and embossed Nesties Label 21 with 3 different sizes of vanilla cs then with the nestie in place I stamped the image in Momento Rich Cocoa on each layer. Looking back I should have removed the nestie before stamping. This is also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 142 - Colors Ivory/Choc/Red.
I have had this dp for eon's and finally used some of it today. Someone tell me why we do that. Buy something we just have to have and then hoard it.
Oh well, off to work. Brrrrr.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Winter Wonderland - SU
Paper: vanilla, riding hood red, Imaginise dp
Ink: momento rich cocoa
Accessories: Nesties Label 21, ribbon
Techniques: Telescoping Images, Dry embossing

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 247 - istamp31. I chose Michelle'ss EVENING BREEZES to CASE changing the layout, and embossing folder and I left off the prima's.
This is also for Friday's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 88 - A True Free For All, Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 346 - Leaves where I used the Leafy Branch embossing folder on my baja breeze panel.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 346 - Rich Island Breezes.
My base is island indigo. My image is from stampendous and is stamped in momento tuxedo black then colored with copics. I used some greens for the grass and a scalloped oval paper mask to sponge some clouds with baja breeze. My ribbon is rich razzleberry polkadot.
Hope you like it. I might be missing from the challenges for awhile, not sure how keeping my grandson from 4am until time for me to take him to daycare is going to work out with my stampin time upstairs so I had to get this one in.
