This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 286 - Mustard Mambo Breezes. I must have ESP Betty. I went to my dd Shannon (e3stamper) Sunday for some seriously needed stamp therapy and she had this image printed 2 times. She colored one and I colored the other. I can not believe I used this weeks colors to color this. WOW. And so needed a quickie as I have to be at work early again today for another meeting so this work our fabulous for me.
My layout is from today's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 89. I used some DCWV dp called Mango and 2 colors of ribbon and my Fiskars scallopped border punch. I hope you do not get tired of seeing this one as it is the only one I can get my hands on. I am not sure how much I am going to be able to play in the next couple of weeks. My craft room is almost packed up empty getting ready for the carpet up and linoleum down. I can not get to anything even if I knew where it was insert pout here :(
Have a great day.

Fall Cupcakes are Delicious

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 288 - Recycled cardboard box. How fun. I moistened one side of my torn up box and removed the top layer to matt my focal panel on. The other recycled items on here are the dp, ribbon and so saffron panels from a previous dissasterous attempt. I used a yummy cupcake image from a digital set called "Fall Cupcake" released earlier this month from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE.

I used this cupcake for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 82 - Delicious and what is more yummy to the tummy than a cupcake?
My colors are from my dp and also fit last Thursday's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 064 - Fall Colors. My layout is from last Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 295.
I cut out the top of a 2nd image to pop up on dimensions. I cut, embossed then sponged around my focal panel using Nesties Label 2. I also sponged on my sentiment panel with anique linen. I like this one much better.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Fall Cupcake - THS Digital Line
Paper: white, brown, so saffron
Ink: Antique Linen Distressing Ink

Priscilla Styles 3D Butterfly

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 186 - Bobbie's Girl aka Carol. I chose to CASE her GREEN BUTTERFLY. I changed the colors, layout and used satin ribbon instead of crochetted, and I left off the dew drops.
I also found inspiration from this MARIAH BELT from Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 247 - ModCloth Site.
My layout is Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 295.
My colors also are used for the CRAFT DIGITAL ART CENTER COLOR CHALLENGE # 5 - Yellow and Brown and I distressed the edges of my focal panel then ink distressed with antique linen sponged around the edges for CRAFT DIGITAL ART CENTER OTHER THEME CHALLENGE # 5 - Distressing.
My butterflies are from PRISCILLA STYLES STORE. I printed 3 in a larger size, cut them out, colored them tehn created my 3D butterfly with them and placed it in the lower right corner.
The sentiment is one I grabbed from a Famous Quotes web site. I thought it was fitting for butterfly images. I love how this turned out and hope you do to.
Here are some close up views of the 3D butterfly:

Snowy Cowboy Life Sneak Peek

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 27 - Snow "Man". Sorry Jeanne but I am no where near ready to start my Christmas cards so I tried to use my noggin' to think "outside of the box".
This image is from a digital set called "Cowboy Life" that will be released Sept 1st from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITIAL LINE. I covered the bottom with my glue pen and topped it off with some white glitter fun flock. I used B32 copic randomly around my image to simulate that blueish sky in the winter time. My base is bashful blue where I used the Cuttlebug - The Negative Effect technique inking up the negative side of my Diamonds & dots folder with bashful blue then running my BB cs through the cuttlebug machine. I punched the white strip of cs with the sentiment on it using Martha Stewart's drippy goo border punch to simulate melting snow. I used my scissors around the 3 edges of my focal panel to distress them. My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 295. Hope you like it.

Sneak Peek into Cowboy Life in the Fall

Today is Thursday and that means time for another Treehouse Thursday Challenge. This week I am the hostess with the mostess. I selected a color theme of Fall for this weeks challenge. I absolutely love the changing colors of fall and thought it would be fun to put them into a creation. I am using a digital set due to be released on Sept 1st from Treehouse Stamps Digital Line. I printed the image out on white then sponged with some so saffron, pumpkin pie and tangerine tango. I matted the main image on so saffron then tangerine tango with the bottom border punched using Fiskars Rope border punch. I used some MME dp and matted it on crushed curry. I stamped the sentiment from "Quiet Moments" in tangering tango. I love these colors together.
Now it is your turn to make something using the various colors of fall. Be sure to include THT064 in your keywords when uploading to SCS so that your creations can be found.
To be eligible for the drawing be sure to follow the directions on the Treehouse Stamps Challenge # 064 post.

I added some stickles to the flower and the images on panel 2 as well. My white base is topped off with Pacific point after running it through the cuttlebug machine using Stylzed flowers embossing folder. Gotta get to work. Thanks for another fun sketch Rox.

Sparkly Stained Glass Greeting Card Kids

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 285 - Pacific Razzleberry Olives. My layout is from today's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 88.
Determined to not let a new to me technique beat me I rebounded from my disasterous attempt Monday. So after reading and watching the video from Beate I had to try another of Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 287 - Sprakly Stained Glass. This turned out much better, but that usually happens when you read thoroughly and watch/listen to a step by step video. I have also been resistant to begining my Christmas Card production until today. I have been waiting for the right opportunity/challenge to use this set that I just got and decided today was the day since I can not use digitals for the technique that I wanted to try again. I wanted some shading effect so I stamped my image on white and acetate, then colored lightly with copics. I added some green glitter to tree and some purple glitter to just a few areas of the little girls coat and then some snow glitter below her and the sled turned it over, lined it up and pressed it down then trimmed with Nestie label. I ran my old olive base through the cuttlebug using my Snowflake embossing folder. I like this attempt much better.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Greeting Card Kids - Stampin Up
Paper: white, old olive, Rasberry Lemonade dp, DCWV dp
Ink: Stazon
Accessories: copics, glitter, Crystal effects, ribobn, Nestie, Cuttlebug, Snowflake embossing folder
Techniques: Sparkly Stained Glass, dry embossing

Sparkly Stained Glass Because I Care

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 287 - Sparkly Stained Glass. Well it has been quite some times since I flopped so badly at a TLC but today is at the top of that list. I am not at all happy with this. I do not like working with vellum or acetate especially when it involves coloring on either one. I am also glitter pour. I tried 3 times to stamp and get it dried so I could turn it over. ggggrrrr. Oh well here it is and it is what it is. I hope by the time I am ready to give this the glitter is set and will not come off.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Because I Care
Paper: tuxedo black
Ink: white, black, MME - Pretty Posies dp
Accessories: brads, acetate, glitter, glue pen, ribbon
Techniques: Sparkly Stained Glass

My image and sentiment are from a new set to be released Sept 1st from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE called "BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS". I printed on white then cut out both images and colored with copics. Halloween Spooky Sign

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALELNGE # 062 - Sketch. Ashley has given us a fabulous layout to use and I knew exactly what I wanted to make using it.
I found some kewl clip art on line and made a background sheet with it. These spiders and spider webs are so kewl looking.
I printed the spooky sign from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE in black on white cs then cut it out. Yep that is what I said, I cut that tiny image out. Shannon will be so proud of me, **gasp**.
After cutting it out I popped up the sign part and glued the pole to panel 2 and 3. Panel 2 is black cs trimmed with my Fiskars Bat border punch. I glued the bats from the punch to panel 3 and glued 1 on the sign. I think it looks kewl like that. The spider is a Martha Stewart punch. I added a bottom panel to tie my ribbon with.
Then this morning I see today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 283 - It's Button Time. Now how can I not go back to my original idea to put a button over my bow? HUH? How can I, so I did. I tried some black hemp, nah, went back to white, just could not see the black very well over that ribbon.

I love how this turned out and hope you do too. Now it is your turn to check out the sketch, make something then link it on the TREEHOUSE STAMPS CHALLENGE # 062 POST so you can be entered in the weekly RANDOM.org drawing and get a free digital stamp set.

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 183 - Vdutchr. I chose to CASE her SPRITZcard. I changed the colors, image & sentiment, left off the spritz and butterflies, and used circles rather than an oval. I also stamped my sentiment on some acetate rather than over my image.
Well this took me longer than it should but here it is. I used my Nesties circles and scalloped circles for the view window. My sentiment is from SU's All Holidays I set and is stamped in Espresso permanent ink on a mirrow block then on the acetate. I adhered the acetate between the scalloped frame and the card base.
On the inside I inked the flower image with pretty in pink then with the edge of the ink pad I made the faux plaid design using riding hood red and choc chip for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 284 - Plaid Silhouettes. My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 282 - Blushing Riding Expresso. I also found and loved this CHERRY BLOSSOM BELT BUCKEL while looking through Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 244 - Frankie & Julie. Loved the red and pink but left off the blue and cherry blosooms really close together look a lot like Hydrangea's to me. Flowers are part of a garden so this is also for Friday's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 24 - It's Garden Pickin' Time. I trimmed a narrow strip of riding hood red cs using my Martha Stewart border punch. Here is a view of the card opened so that you can see the inside close up. Hope you like it and see ya all in the challenges.

It's Back To School Time !!

Today is Thursday and that means it is time for another weekly TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 061 - Back To School. This week I was asked to select a challenge and since my oldest daughter did not want to be reminded that school in her county starts back this week what other challenge could there be. I love to rub it in. She has been goofing off all summer while I worked and now once again we are equal. LOL.
For this challenge I used a sheet of dp I just bought at Michaels from DCWV called School Days. My focal image is from a set released last month from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE called "Back To School". I colored with copics then attached some google eyes to the worm, layered my focal image on some red and then green cs. I used my ticket corner punch on the main panel and punched some yellow circles for faux brads. I tied 2 ribbons together and popped up my focal panel.
Now I never expected the challenge on SCS to be up early this morning but it was because Faith was guest hosting to give Julia a much needed break. So I went back upstairs and did what I love to see on other cards, paper pierced under the sentiment. I love the way it looks just don't always remember to use it myself. So this is also for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 282 - Stick It. I paper pierced under my sentiment.

Hope you like it and we would love for you to play along with us this week over in the Treehouse. Remember to follow the rules when playing to be entered in the weekly Random.org drawing.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Back To School - THS Digital Line
Paper: red, green, yellow, DCWV dp,

Billy The Kid goes Trick-or-Treatin'

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 292. Well I almost skipped this one, I usually make a mess with angles but thought I would give it a try anyway and now I am glad I did. That is why they are called challenges, right? Anyway there were only 3 small angles I can do that :-0
I used some wood grain dp matted on dark brown for my base and some paisley and burlap dp for my fan held together by 3 fauz brads. My focal image is printed on white and sponged with distress inks after cut and emboss with Nesties rectangle, then popped up on dimensionals. I colored this darling image with my copics.
So I am calling this little rowdy cowboy "Billy The Kid" and he is all set to go for the big round up with his Trick or Treat bag right after he finishes cleaning the stales, feeding the herd and bustin' a few wild ones. LOL. This digital image is just one of many released today from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. Ya gotta check em out pard.
RECIPE:
Images: Western Kid-THS digital Line
Paper: white, vanilla, brown, paisley dp, burlap dp, woodgrain dp
Ink: distress ink

Bodacious Plaid Bouquette

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 282 - Blushing Riding Expresso. I had to use some substitutes until my order comes today or tomorrow, grrr. My layout is from Monday's TECHNO STAMPERS SKETCH CHALLENGE # 133. I also had to do another one of Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 284 - Plaid Silhouettes as this is just the kewlest one for these type of stamps. I hate not getting a good impression on a solid image and typically use my copics to fill in where the impression is lacking so this TLC was appealing to my "lack" of crafty abilities and I love the way this flower and these leaves turned out. I inked my flower image with pink pirouette then tapped the edges of riding hood red in one direction and choc chip from another. I did the same with the leaves using certainly celery and old olive. I added some dessert from todays color challenge - something new to me is my brand new Fiskars border punch. I love it. It is simular to one I wanted from somewhere else but a lot easier to get my hands on. LOL.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Bodacious Bouquet
Paper: white, pink pirouette, riding hood red, MME dp, choc chip pattern paper
Ink: pink pirouette, riding hood red, choc chip, certainly celery, old olive
Accessories: felt ribbon, Fiskars border punch, corner punch
Techniques: Plaid Silhouettes

Plaid Beary Thankful Sneak Peek

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 284 - Plaid Silhouette. Well my brain went crazy since I have been so addicted to digis lately and I almost decided I could not play today. I changed me mind by tweeking the instructions a bit. I printed this darling image from a digi set called "BEARY THANKFUL" that will be released this Wednesday from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. I used GIMP to manipulate my image and cropped out the pumpkin image by itself then printed it as well. I cut out the single pumpkin image, used my so saffron stamp pad to blot some color then the corners of more mustard and pumpkin pie in angles to create the plaid effect then popped it up on the full copic colored image. This is so kewl and I hope this is not cheating, just using my noggin' and now I have to go to work with a headache. LOL.
My dp is from a stack I just bought from Michaels selecting of My Minds Eye. I love it. I used my Flannel Plaid background stamp inked with pumpkin pie and stamped on more mustard for panel 2. My layout is from a previous SKETCH CHALLENGE # 283. I tied some sheer orange ribbon around panel 3 and matted my sentiment on Night of Navy and placed it next to the ribbon. My base and panel 3 are Bordering Blue cs. Hope you like it.

Sweetest Flower Sneak Peek

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE # 182 - Al_Silver2 (aka-Alanna). Her gallery is full of CAS beauties. I decided on CASEing her MARIGOLD HELLO. I changed the colors, layout and left off the brad. My layout is from today's CARD POSITIONING SYSTEM SKETCH CHALLENGE # 178. I found inspiration for my colors from Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 243 - Birdhouse Blessings using this BIRDHOUSE BUSINESS CARD HOLDER. Love the colors on this. These colors also match Tueday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 281 - Crushed Daffodil Pizzazz. I added a strip of elegant eggplant trimmed with my brand new Fiskars border punch above my middle panel. I made my dp using images from a set due to be released Wednesday called "SWEETEST FLOWERS" from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. My images were colored with copics. I printed and colored the single flower 3 times and cut it out in 3 layers then popped each layer up. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Sweetest Flower - THS digital line
