Small Friendly Buttons

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Plenty of Patterns and WOW Dawn talk about limits. My embellishments were limited to 2 buttons for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Beautiful Buttons. For my layout I can not believe it but it is true, I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE even after I said once was enough on this one. All of the paper seen on here is pattern paper from some I picked up at Michaels from a My Minds Eye stack. I love almost every design in this stack. I found a setion to use as my focal image and found a paisley exactly like it, cut it out and popped it up above the one on the paper. My sentiment is from a stampin' up set called small sayings and is stamped in black.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Small Sayings
Paper: MME, white
Ink: black
Accessories: buttons

MFT- Time For Relaxing

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Buttons. For my layout I used MY FAVORITE THINGS SKETCH CHALLENGE - # 83. For my color combo I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - So Bashful Pumpkins. I recently attended a stamp class hosted by none other than Kim herself and had such a blast. We got to play with this new set that day and I ordered both of these label sets as soon as they were released. I love them both but especially this one. I stamped the image in black brilliance, drew my hardwood floor, then colored and shaded with copics. I covered the bubbles with stickles. I used some Washington Apple dp for the 3 back panels and matted them on so saffron. I had some wide baby blue sheer ribbon and thought it would work perfect. I heated the ends of the ribbon with my heat gun to make them twist a bit. The focal image is popped up. I will stamp and color this image again for a label to be placed on some a jar of bath salts to give these as a gift set. I hope whomever gets these will love them as much as I did making them. I had loaded this earlier and kicked myself bc I meant to put a button on this since I am sooo bad about not using them. Then the WT challenge was loaded and I really did want to kick myself so I came home from work and did a do-over.f Now I am happy with it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Time For The Bubbly Label Set, MFT
Paper: white, so saffron, bashful blue, pumpkin pie, Washington Apple
Ink: black brilliance, pumpkin pie
Accessories: stickles, ribbon, dimensionals

Baby Blessings Again

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. Well I am sure Shannon will get a big kick out of this sketch until she has to come visit me in a hospital bed. GASP** I almost passed out when I saw it. I am more of a KISS it or CAS type stamper so this was certainly a challenge for me. I had sent a baby card recently and gasped Tuesday when I found out it never reached it destination so I knew today I wanted to make another one but could not find the DP to match the color challenge from Tuesday, gggrrrrrr. The stars are not lined up in my favor right now!! Anyway I settled for this dp that I got on my last LSS shopping spree. It is gorgeous paper already showered with glitter. I used some matching red and blue bayou. I stamped the rattle, diaper pin, and foot prints in versamark. The stork is stamped in black brilliance, cut out, colored with copics, and covered with white fun flock and popped up, just like the last one was. I wonder if the postal service was worried that the fun flock was some sorta chemical contamination and destroyed it:( Any way the sentiment was stamped in blue bayou and cut out with the small oval punch and matted on blue bayou punched with the large oval. All images and sentiments seen can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Baby Blessings. I liked the other card much better but I am sending this and hoping it will get there.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Baby Blessings - THS
Paper: white, orange, red, blue bayou, glittered dp
Ink: blue bayou, black brilliance, versa mark
Accessories: dimensionals

One day I have got to order some Flourishes sets but for now I used Seaside Sketches for my focal image, I stamped the image in black brilliance then colored with copics (see pic on my blog for markers used). I sponged bashful blue clouds using an oval scallop punch mask then just a dab of so saffron for some sunshine which we have not see much of lately around here. I used bashful blue matted with bashful blue pattern paper. I stamped the cheesecloth background image with so saffron on so saffron and bottom portion is pumpkin pie pattern paper with pumpkin pie under it punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. The inside is stamped with the sentiment from Thinking of Father set. I just love these hinged cards.

The Treasure Chest is also stamped in sadle brown and colored with copics. Then I used some gold glitter glue and white pearl drops to accent the treasure pieces. My border punch is Fiskars Rope design. This is matted and popped up. I stamped Stampin' Ups Matey's Map on the sage shadow top portion. I am lovin' this card and can't wait to give it to someone. Here is a pic of this closed. So glad you hopped over here. Leave some evidence if you wish. I thrive on suggestions and comments. Have a grrrreat Memorial Day. Fintastic Fish Day

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Mercy. I love everything in her gallery and had some extra play time so I CASED her again. This time I picked her FINTASTIC CARD. I changed the colors, layout and image but kept the same theme. For my colors I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Purely Brilliant Orange. My fish image and sentiment are from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. I love this darling fish image and the sentiment. I used Nesties Label Four for my focal image and sponged the edges and colored the image with copics. I ran the brilliant blue panel through the cuttlebug using Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. Orange sheer ribbon and 3 clear dew drops and I was done.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Fintastic Day, Fishy Friend - Treehouse Stamps

CASing A Little Lady

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Mercy. I have always admired her work and am more than happy to CASE her gorgeous gallery. So for this CASE job I picked her very 1st card in her gallery LADY BUG PARADE. I had also spotted these CUTE SLIPPERS from Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Little Odd Forest Hand Bags. For my layout I used Amy's Sketch Challenge # 3. What a fun layout it is. I stamped the lady bug in real red and basic black ink then used my black marker to make the trail line. The sentiment is stamped in black, That gorgeous red and black ribbon is from my darling daughter Shannon (e3erskine). On the inside I stamped the smaller lady bug and the trail as well as the sentiment from Polka Dot's and Paisly "Find joy in the little things". I love how this turned out. I actually made this at Shannon's for the Inspiration Challenge and found it also fit today's challenge.
Edited To Include: OK so I forgot to mention I stamped this image 3 times before getting it half way right. I was so frustrated, guess it was because I was not in my stamp room and out of my comfort zone at Shannon's when I tried to make this but nevertheless the 3rd attempt was perfect right up to the time where I dropped her ink pad right on top of my image. Gggggrrrrrr.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Little Lady - Gina K
Paper: white, real red, pretty in pink, black
Ink: black
Accessories: gems, black marker, Nestie Circle Punchs, Stickles

Clear and Simple Design

WOW I finally got my 1st order from Clean and Simple Stamp Company. I must admit I was unaware of this company until I saw an ad pop up on Splitcoast. I ordered 2 sets : Got Fish and Flight of the Bee. I just love their images.
I got busy this morning creating and just could not stop. I covered a can of cashews and made a matching card to go with it for my dear husband who just loves to fish and is having such a hard time these past weeks because of the weather he could not go fishing to the flats. Spring is such a good time to catch trout and reds but with winds, rain and so much fresh water they are just not biting.
While I was in the mood to make some sets I made another one using Flight of the Bee covering an Altoid Can and making a card to go with. I will fill the can with cough drops or hard candy, that is bound to make anyone feel better.
Here is a picture of all the projects together that I made.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Got Fish, Flight of the Bee - Clear and Simple Designs
Ink: Black Brillians, Sadle Brown
Paper: Black, White, Yellow, Brown, Choc Chip PP, Vanilla
Accessories: Ribbon, dimensionals, brads, atloid can, cashew can, stickles
Technique: Gamsol Magic, 3D

Touch of Nature

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Circle of Life. We were to use circles and limit to 1 stamp set only. I used Touch of Nature. Since I missed it I also included Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Stamp It Again. I stamped the fern image in only orange for my background then distressed the vanilla cs with Only orange by sponging. My layout is from FRIDAY SKETCHER # 53 and my color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Purely Brilliant Orange. This is also for today's STAMPIN' BEE'S CHALLENGE # 7 to follow the list: border punch, circle, leaf/leaves/branch, 2 or more brads. I have no idea what is either on my camera lens or the focal panel. I am at work and just seeing those spots on the left. I will have to take a look at this card when I get home. Man I hope I do not have to remake that layer. If I do I will probably just cut a circle, cut out the bird from this layer and pop it up. Well that just about wraps it up. Whey. Have a great Friday and I hope anyone else is seeing some sunshine. I have forgotten what it looks like :(
RECIPE:
Stamps: Touch of Nature
Paper: vanilla, brilliant blue, only orange, rose red
Ink: sadle brown, only orange

I just got this adorable set from The Greeting Farm last week and could not wait to use it. I just think this is just the nost adorable image. I stamped the images in white with black brilliance and colored with copics, cut them out and adhered them to the cuttlebug panels. The dress, flowers, and wedding bells are covered with stickles. This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE - Joan. I truely enjoyed browsing through my cyber friends gallery and choosing a card to CASE. I finally decided on her DAFFODILS IN BLOOM. This also was inspired by photo # 6 of the COUNTRY LIVING SECTION of Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Country Living Home Office. Apple of My Eye

This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Country Living Home Office and what a kewl site to obtain inspiration from too. Thanks Anne for filing in for Steph. Wish I was on Vacation :( oh well mine is coming soon. I was soooo inspired by all of the different colors of Gingham and PHOTO # 8. I just love that ant and that gingham. For my colors I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Only Summer Kisses but added black as a neutral. For my layout I used this month's DIRTY DOZEN SKETCH CHALLENGE. If you are not a Fan Club member you are unable to see the DD galleries so I highly recommend joining the Fan Club. It is more than worth it in inspiration every month. I used a set from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Life's A Picnic. It is such a fun set to use. I bordered my white card base with the small ant bc you can not have a picnic without ants, right? I had gingham dp in all of this weeks colors except olive so I made some with my Old Olive marker. The gingham dp is punched with a circle punch and matted on coordinating cs punched with scallop circle punch. I stamped the lady ant in black brilliance then colored her with C3 and C5 copics. The apple was inked with old olive, stamped, cut out and popped up. I will slip this under the sheets for my darling hubby one day after he goes to work. He will get a kick out of it.

Heard You've Been A Little Eel

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Life's A Beach. I knew immediately I had to use my new High Hopes images that I could not wait to get and have not yet inked up. Sad right? Oh well I also have not done any watercoloring in a while untile today and now I remember why. It takes so much longer than copics. I think I used a color from every color family in SU on this Sea Floor Background but I love colorful corals. Edgar the Eel was stamped on white with black brilliance then colored with copics for time saving purposes. I applied stickles to the eel and twinkling H2O's to the background image. I have to get to work sometime this morning. LOL. I inked the sentiment up using summer sun and old olive markers. I tried to follow a sketch from Sunday's SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 17 but realized once I looked at it again I did not quite follow the plan, Oh well. I love how my wc turned out so that is all that counts. Now what do you think? How did I do? Don't be shy, I take critics and compliments both very well. Hope everyone has a wonderful start of a weekend. Looks like rain for us here in South GA.
RECIPE:
Stamps: A Little Eel, Edgar Eel
Paper: white, water color, summer sun
Ink: black brilliance

Just Buzzin' By for a Honey of a Day

I went to be early and slept all night. YEH, playing catch up. So hoping they let MIL go home today, I may have to stay with her tonight which means NO sleep and NO stamping so I needed some therapy this morning. This is for Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Only Summer Kisses. I love this SU set and needed to use it again to show it some love. It just makes me smile to see the faces on those cute little bees. OK so I had heard you could use the Fiskars emboss plates in the CB, had tried and failed at it until today. The stars in the universe were all lined up correctly I guess. LOL. I used the Honeycomb plate in my cuttlebug after a light spray of water on my cs. My formula was: Plate A, Fiskars plate, CS, emboss matt, Plate C. Then I did direct to paper with Summer Sun ink pad over the raised section. Love how that turned out. Hope everyone has a fantastic day.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Just Buzzin By
Paper: white, Only orange, summer sun, old olive pp
Ink: black, only orange, summer sun

Baby Blessings

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. The creative juices refuse to flow today after only a couple of hours of sleep. I had a busy day with work and our youngest grandchild's 1st birthday party here at the house then Jessie's mom began at 5pm having a seizure, went to the ER by ambulance, came home and started another one at 9:45 that lasted 2hrs. She was admitted this time for further evaluation. Needless to say I could not get my thoughts together enough to combine any challenges. LOL. I also have been trying to design the perfect baby card in my head so I could put it on CS and have failed. Not sure about this one either but it is going out anyway to someone very special that I hope likes it a lot. This set is from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Baby Blessings and is just darling. I recently received this and could not wait to play with it. The stork is covered with white fun flock. I just love this baby set and you can get yours today for a great sale price. Do you think she will like this?

Stamps: Baby Blessings
Paper: MME dp, white, bashful blue
Ink: bashful blue, versa mark

Jaylen's 1st Birthday

Thought I would share some pics from Jaylen's 1st Birthday party we had today. Hard to believe it has been a year but it has.
Jaylen's personal cake The family's cake to enjoy with Jaylen. These little train engines were just adorable. He was not too sure about that icing to begin with but once he got started he was diggin' in and gettin' into it. LOL. He was so cute.Makayla had a blast watching Jaylen play/eat his cake while their Mom watched is dismay with looks of "is this ever going to come clean?"Here is the back of Brayden's head, Madison, Alana and Aunt Shae(Shannon). It is remarkable how much those 2 look alike. Scary when I realize how much me and Shannon favor and me and my mom and my mom and her mom. WOW somebody had some strong genes that got passed down. LOL.

Here is Brayden's face, Aunt Amanda and Trinity. Believe it or not everthing came clean including the birthday boy. I got the pleasure of giving him a bath since I was the host of the party - thus saith his mom "you gave it to him, you clean him up!"

I just love using that technique with Butterfly Kisses from TREEHOUSE STAMPS and right now many, many sets are on SALE so go check them out. Ashley is doing some spring cleaning and you can rack up on some really great bargains. It is such a easy set to use for that technique. I also love making the 3D Butterfly images. This leaves the left image right wing and right image left wing to adhere to the paper. Fold the top image up sligtly for a flight effect. I just love these beauties and hope you do too.

Battle of Clinton 5'09

There is noting like getting away for a weekend. We got to the campsite around 11am Saturday morning and enjoyed chatting with other company members before time for him to line up for inspection. It was so hot to me. We really had a great weekend. We left Saturday evening just in time before the bottom fell out. Had a fantastic dinner at Ole' Times and a good bed to sleep in even though I did not sleep bc I could not quit coughing. Sunday was not as hot just seemed like it took forever to get home. Man do we get the looks when we go in a gas station bathroom to change cloths. LOL. Our next battle will not be until October.

Black Marbled Wedding

Well I am home today sick again. As hard as I have tried to not claim it I think I am giving in to allergies or something. So this is what I made today while my fuzzy head swims full of nighttime cold relief. I did all 5 challenges for this week. Today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Border Crossing, Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Black, Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE, Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Real Black Olives, and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Marbles. I used the flower image from Noteworthy on my old olive layer all around the edges even though it is hard to see covered up. I used some red and black polka dot ribbon and silver wedding rings for imbellishments. I am headed back to the couch but I hope everyone has a great day and weekend. Think I am taking the WE off so I can get well.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Noteworthy, Wedding - Inkadinkado
