G'Day Mate Lion

I am going to Shannon's today for us to make some more candy and cookies for Christmas gifts. Hope they turn out better than the last 2 we did here. LOL.
This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Maximo Gallery. I got my inspiration from THE STRIPES IN THESE PURSES and FUZZY HAIR DOLLS. I used today's Paper Craft Planet SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used a really kewl clear acrylic stamp set called G'DAY MATE from Heather Rolin's last release from H & M STAMP COMPANY - SEE AD BELOW FOR SPECIAL SAVINGS. I stamped the lion on white then just the head on white then on 2 shades or orange mulberry paper. I colored all images on white with prismacolor pencils then blended w/gamsol. I cut the head out. I had to trim the image to fit and still it ended up wider than I wanted but oh well. I used some Image That dp with stips. I tied 3 strands of hemp in a knot, stamped the sentiment in Not Quite Navy on white and distressed the edges. This is punched w/the wide oval punch and matted on orange.

So Sad - Another Death of a Pet

Jessie has occassionaly brought Socks in for short visits. Short inside visits because even though he was "fixed" he still sprayed for a few months. He was such a fun cat to have. You knew he was in the area by his cat call. Jessie always said here some the phone cat. Sounded just like a phone ringing. LOL. Well we are going to miss his ring. My FIL informed me that he had to bury Socks after finding him in the road early Wednesday morning. It is so weird bc while he was in the house Tuesday we took all of these pictures. Well this tribute is to our "SOCKS" , he will be missed.

Dec H & M Blog Hoppin' Time

I made these for this month's H&M Blog Hop. The tall large project is an emptied & cleaned Tomatoe Sauce can I covered with some baby wrapping paper from a baby shower gift. My stepdaughter just found out she is having her 2nd and last child so I will fill this with cotton balls, q-tips, alcohol, lotion, and baby wash as gift to her.
the small shorter project is an altered can of cashews. Shannon says all 3 of her kids love cashews so I will cover the other 2 and give them as part of their gifts this year. I love altering cans and wrapping paper is so much easier to work with than card stock because CS is so stiff it just does not like to make a circle around the cans. I covered 2 cans for my youngest daughter when she had her 1st child and it is so kewl to go to her house and see those covered cans still being used. That was 3 yrs ago.
