Woof You Light to Dark Critter

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 417 - A Certain Bashful Delight with a dessert option of adding a critter. Well my DH came home last week with a 2in high and 3 in long jet black lab pup that tried to run out under his truck and last year he ran over a little puppy unavoidably with cars in front on the side and behind him so that he could not avoid it without recking. He felt sooo bad about it and brudded for several days. He said he "could not let that happen to this little guy" even though he had said without reservation years ago "NO MORE DOGS". We had a dog I got form the kennel and was sweet and well behaved for 3 yrs until he got struck by lightning (or at least that is what I think happened). He started going crazy anytime the weather got bad.
So this is going to be my dh's anniversary card for the 20th of this month. LOL.

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 412 - Very Basic Crumb Cake, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 415 - Play With Patterns, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 206 - Limited Supply Challenge - Monochromatic and Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 279.I used 2 differenty patterns of dp from The Paper Studio "The Classics" paper stack and a different pattern print of ribbon across panel 2 for my 3 differnt patterns.  Did some distress sponging with crumb cake ink.
My sentiment is from Stampin' Ups "Blessings From Heaven" stamp set and stamped in basic black ink on vanilla and matted on black as is the 2 dp panels. Sadly enough I was in need of a sympathy card as a member of our church choir had her 96 yr old mother pass away Sunday evening so this will go to her tomorrow. No matter how old you are or how old your parent is, it is hard to say goodbye so my prayers are with her.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Blessings from Heaven
Ink: basic black, crumb cake
Paper: vanilla, basic black, TPS - The Classics Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals
Techniques: monochrome, play with patterns, sponge distressing
