It is also for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE - Color Challenge where we are to use Certainly Celery, Rose Red, and Pretty in Pink. For my layout I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I just love this Greeting Farm darling set called Rock The Farm. I got the ribbon, dp and stamp set all from TREEHOUSE STAMPS. I used certainly celery for my base and rose red for panel 3. I trimmed panel 3 with my EK Success wavy border punch. My focal image was stamped in black brilliance then colored with PRISMACOLOR PENCILS. Yep, I dusted them off and used them today. Need more practice with my prismas I think. I stamped the sentiment in rose red on the pretty in pink matt. Hope you like it and come play along with these darling colors.

Good News - Dallas has arrived / Bad News

We got that early morning phone call we have been expecting about 8am this morning and headed to the hospital. Amanda was in labor and dilated 4cm with buldging membranes. They were getting her some pain medication while they waited on Anesthesia to come put the epidural in. They were soooo glad when the epidural got in and worked. The parents and the nurses both. LOL. Dallas arrived shortly after noon weighing in at 8 1/2 lbs and 21 inches long. He is just adorable. This pregnancy was harder on Amanda than her 1st one 3yrs ago but the delivery was soo much easier. She retained the placenta 3yrs ago but everything came out fine today.
.
Now for the not so good news. My co-worker that we took food to Saturday evening called work today shorty after 3pm to let everyone know her darling husband has passed away. I started THIS thread Friday. I am updating it today. God is so good in so many ways. Ruth is going to miss him so much but he is not suffering any longer and that is a blessing to his loved ones for sure.

Foxy CASEing

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Schirmcat (aka:Kelly). She is such a sweet person. I chose her SWEET FOREST card to CASE. I kept the layout, used only 1 tree and button, and changed the colors and the animal to a fox cause she is foxy lookin'. LOL.

Anyway, there have only been a couple of previous sets from SU when I started that I soooo wanted and this Little Truck set and Wild Wild West were 2 of them I just can not seem to get but I did get some really nice SCSer's to share some images with me. I love this site. Such really nice people on here, thanks Kelly for these images. I am also more than willing to share images from those that I have purchased if I have any that anyone wants, just pm me.
My image was stamped in black on white cs. I colored it with copic markers and attached some google eyes. Brayden will love that. I used today's layout from UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES. QK Happy Birthday Dies

Well in case you did not know, my all-in-one printer is worthless with the exception of the scanner part of it which is magnificant. I have changed ink well 3 times and still can not get it to print our worth a dang so I have given up. That being said I almost croaked when I saw today's LSC :( what I need my printer to do this challenge. I put on my thinking cap, remembered my NY's resolution to use my QK's that I just had to have and so this is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Digis' and Diecuts. There are no stamped images on here only punched layers and balloons. I tied some hemp around the balloons. The only ink used was to doodle around the scalloped edges. I used the embossed sentiment so this is also for Thursday's TREEHOUSE THURSDAYS CHALLENGE -Dry Emboss.

Wild West Tic-Tac-Toe

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. Yep, for sure I have lost my MoJo! This is not my fav but got head to work so I am looking for ideas. Should have looked through the SC235 gallery before I made this for inspiration. I do not do well with square cards so I used a vertical sentiment from Hambo inked with choc chip and made a regular A2 size. When I 1st saw the sketch I thought Tic-Tac-Toe. I love that game and dh will not play this or checkers with me bc he says I get him trapped so no matter which way he moves I win. (insert grin here). LOL. I usually take the X's so as you can see I let him win this round. I think I will put thin in front of the coffee machine for him to find tomorrow morning after I am at work. He is off so he will get to sleep in (insert pout here). I used this darling wild west alphabet that I just had to have and have not inked up but 1 time. The X's and O's were stamped in choc chip on vanilla then matted on choc chip. I wanted to use a thin brown ribbon across the middle line to identify the winner but could not do that over my sentiment. So any ideas how to make me convert this into a likable creation?
RECIPE:
Stamps: Wild West Alphabet - SU, Vert Greeting - Hambo
Paper: vanilla, choc chip
Ink: choc chip

Thoughts & Prayers

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Krafty Saffron Nights. I included Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Faux Burnt Edges bc the colors just called for it to be done again, LOL. My layout is from MONDAY'S MOJO # 93. I just finally bought this set after everyone else is tired of using it and the challenges were calling to me to pick it up and get it dirty, so I did. My kraft layer was embossed with the negative side of the leafy branches folder inked with night of navy. Love how that turned out. I stamped the tree image in so saffron on white then sponged with so saffron, creamy caramel, choc chip and black. I stamped the phrase in night of navy on so saffron then sponged the edges with creamy caramel, choc chip and black. The sentiment was stamped in night of navy then sponged with the same colors as the tree panel which were both also trimmed with decorative scissors. The night of navy mat was cut with Nesties Deckled edges. I tried to color my ribbon with my copic so saffron match but I think it turned out a little brighter than I wanted. Oh Well. I was thinking I had lost my MOJO since I was not liking what I was making lately but I like this one. Do you?

Country Girl Carrie

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Faux Burnt Edges. I still had a strip of last Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Faux Denim and I used it because I wanted to do another card using Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - Sketch. My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pacific Tango Summer that I was guest host for Emily while she spends some valuable time with hubby before he has to leave to serve his country.
I have had some stamped images of Carrie for awhile now (got them from Shannon) and needed to use them up so she will stamp me some more. LOL. Carrie was perfect for today's TLC and the color combo as well. I did the faux burnt edges on my main panel and the sentiment panel and popped the senitment up. I agree with Lynn in that the torn edge layer looks so much better. I am such a pack rat, while cleaning my stamp room this morning I found a stack of In-Color ribbon that I had forgotten I had so I had to use it today too. How did I do?
RECIPE:
Stamps: Country Girl, Carrie
Paper: vanilla, white, pacific point
Ink: pacific point, creamy caramel, close to cocoa, choc chip, black
Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals, Copics
Techniques: Faux denim, Faux burnt edges, copic coloring

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - DawnL. I chose her GARDEN BUTTERFLY card to CASE. I changed the layout to fit Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - Sketch. I stamped the image in summer sun then rolled the edges in tangerine tango. This was done on the Labels 2 panel then on a separate piece of white cs, cut out and popped up. I applied some diamond gems and covered some of them with some gold, yellow and blue glitter glue. Not easy to see on the pic. My main panel layer is from a stack I just got a Joanne's in Tallahassee Saturday. It is from DCWV's Citrus Mat Stack. Embossed and glittered dp that is just yummy. How do you like it? Congrats to ya Dawn. enjoy your day.

Ms. Hoot Shines Today

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE. Today's color combo was Banana, Kiwi and 1 neutral. You are also to use ribbon and at least 1 button. Gotcha covered Crystal. I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE for my layout. This darling owl set is called Ms.Hoot and was released at midnight from TREEHOUSE STAMPS along with 2 other fantastic sets called Dino-rific and Little Sunshine - please pop over and check them out. This set and the dino-rific dinosaur set were drawn by a 13 yr old boy and submitted in a recent illustrators contest held by Ashley. My image was stamped in esspresso ink then colored using copics. I trimmed it for an out of the box look then matted on dark brown. My panels 2a and 2b are barely banana cs. 1 is stamped in close to cocoa with pretty petals background stamp and the other with a sentiment in kiwi kiss. My panel 1 is old olive pattern paper that I wished SU would bring back. I loved those prints so much more than these they currently have. I used a white prima and colored it with my copic marker then applied a button in the center. HOpe you like it.

Little Sunshine Sketch

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pacific Tango Summer. I used ovals instead of rectangles for panels 2a and 2b because this was the 1st thing I saw when I looked at the sketch. How perfect these darling clouds and rainbow fit into this layout. I love it. I stamped the clouds and cut them out the omitted the clouds to stamp the rainbow on the white card base and colored it. The sun was stamped colored, cut out and popped up. The clouds are also popped up. The sentiment is stamped in pacific point. I tied a yellow and orange sheer ribbon with a bow.The clouds and sun are covered with stickles. This is about as postal friendly as you could get. LOL. This darling set will be released tonight at midnight from TREEHOUSE STAMPS along with a couple of other darling sets and now they come mounted or unmounted. I love getting mine unmounted and painting Tack It on them so that I can store my images so much easier.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Little Sunshine - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, summer sun, tangeringe tango
Ink: black, pacific point
Accessories: Ribbons, copics, stickles

Little Sunshine Sneak Peek & Itty Bitty Sand Architech

I have 2 big reasons for sharing joy with all. 1st Shannon took and PASSED her Para-Pro test on Monday so it is full time teaching for her. WHOO HOO!!!! 2nd I recently answered a call from Emily who host the weekly color challenges on SCS to help her out this summer as she prepares for her dh to go away in service to our country. I was more than happy to send her a pm that I would be glad to help out. She selected me for this week and so this is for today's Splitcoast Stampers COLOR CHALLENGE - Pacific Tango Summer . So I am just too excited to bring this to you as a guest host for Emily.
This month we say goodbye to the Stampin' Up In Colors and so farewell to some of my favorite colors: Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. I wanted to include both of these in my challenge as I just do not feel like I have shown them enough love. I included Summer sun . I used last weeks CLEAR AND SIMPLY CHALLENGE - Sketch for my layout. Last week the DT got their new images that will be released Thursday to play with from TREEHOUSE STAMPS. This one is called Little Sunshine and was just perfect for the color challenge I had in mind. I stamped my image in black then colored with copics. The clouds were then covered with stickles. The sentiment was then stamped with tangerine tango. I hope you play along this week and have fun with these gorgeous colors for 1 last week.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Little Sunshine
Ink: Black brilliance
Paper: White, Summer Sun, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Stickles, copics..

.
I had to make another one when I got up this morning. I just about to stamp every morning. I do my best work then. I just love this image.
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pacific Tango Summer, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE #20 - Paper Piecing where I pieced his swim truck from a piece of scrap for Sunday's HIGH HOPES #36 CHALLENGE - Scraps. My layout is from Monday's MOJO # 92 -Sketch. I must admit that last week when Shannon made a card using this image I gave her a hard time because she had a darling stamp that I did not have nor did I have any stamped images of it (insert green face) then she points out that it is my stamp that she got some images from (insert shame face here). Well I just had to use it today. I stamped my image is black then colored with copics and paper pieced the trunks. The kraft layer was punched with my new EK Success border punch and it is sad most of it is covered up where you can not see it. Then I stamped one of the itty bitty background images in brown for a sandy look. I really love how this turned out so much I am ready to go back to the beach with the grands.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Itty BItty Backgrounds - SU, Sand Architech - High Hopes
Paper: white, kraft, summer sun, tangerine tango, pacific point
Ink: black tangerine tango
Accessories: ribbon, EK Success Beach Border, Deckle punch
Techniques: Out of the box, copic coloring, paper piecing

Dino-Rific Sneak Peek

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Christie S. I chose to CASE her TIANA'S BABY ANNOUNCEMENT. I changed the colors by using Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Breezy Ruby Whispers , the border design, and the theme. I loved the layout she used and the decorative border layer so I decided to do a double decorative border. My darling image and sentiment are from a set to be released Thursday from TREEHOUSE STAMPS COMPANY. I just love this dinosaur set. My image was stamped in black brilliance then colored with copics C1, C3, C5 and BG72. I stamped the dino footprint in baja breeze randomly on the baja breeze base.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Dino-Rific -Treehouse Stamps
Paper: baja breeze, ruby red, MME, White
Ink: black brilliance, ruby red

New Family Member - Goldie

Meet the newest addition to our cat famiy - Goldie. She is almost exactly like Stripes except for color of fur. We got her Friday from a co-worker and all she did was stay in the pet taxi all day. Last night I put her on the couch with me and that was all it took, she has been playing ever since. Today she is so wired. I was typing on my blog and she jumped straight onto the keyboard and I had all sorts of lettering and symbols going across my screen. I have been clawed on the leg with her climbing up my gown, my feet have been attacked all morning. FUN! FUN! FUN! She is so adorable though.
