Inspired Paper Flower With Warm Regards

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Paper Towel Flowers. I am like Lynn I love the colors of Spring flowers but also love the fall colors as well so I was inspired by this photo from Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE . I needed a card for a co-worker who gave me a huge compliment and pat on the back in front of our CEO last week so I am also using Today's THE PINK ELEPHANT CHALLENGE # 40 - Be Thankful. I was hoping I could get a really good pic of this flower as it really sparkles in the light. NOT happin'. I need photo lessons. Anyway I punched the Maurvy Extra Giga, Giga, Mega Fiskars scalloped circles, SU Scallop circle and 1in circle using my paper towel then I started with Glimmer mist added to Barely banana then summer sun, then dusty durango then choc chip spraying randomly as I added new colors. I love how this turned out. The center is a big brown brad that I had no idea what I was ever going to use these huge brads on and it certainly worked today. Whoo Hoo. I love it when a plans comes together. Anyway my dp is Recollections Autumn stack and I used some dusty durango polka dot ribbon. My sentiment was stamped in dusty durango then punched with SU large oval punch and layered with dusty durango. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:

Stamps: Warmest Regards
Paper: dusty durango, vanilla, Recollections Autumn
Ink: dusty durango, barely banana, summer sun, choc chip
Accessories: ribbon, paper towel, glimmer mist, mini mister bottle

Mistletoe Kiss Digi Contest

Oh I absolutely LOVE these digi images from THE GREETING FARM and this one especially. These 2 kissing skunks just tickle my funny bone. I stamped the image in graphite black then colored with copics. Seems I am so neglecting my prismacolor pencils and gamsol lately. Need to get them back out again soon. Anyway. I trimmed the focal image using my Fiskars 2.5in circle template and a pencil then used my scissors to cut the circle and around the image for an out of the box style. I cut the mat with the 3in template. My dp is some of Hobby Lobby's Season glitter stack I just bought Saturday. I love this stack. I also bought an EK Success, what I thought was a border punch, that turned out to be a strip of hollies and berries as it trims both sides of the paper. Guess I need to read the box better huh? Oh well I used it on this making the black matt wide enough to allow for both sides to be trimmed. I made this for the Guest DT contest 1st week challenge to use one of Maria Neira's image and create a WILDLIFE theme. What could be more wilder than 2 skunks kissing. LOL. Man I hope they like it.

Christmas Cupcake CASEing

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Chrisations.ink. I found this darling SILVER CANDY CUPCAKE.
I changed: the layout, colors, theme, left off the silver embellies.
My layout is from Monday's MOJO SKETCH 111. The darling dp is from a set I just bought on a shopping trip with Shannon to Valdosta's Michaels and Hobby Lobby. This is HL's Christmas glittery dp. The stamp set I used is called Christmas Cupcakes and I got it from TREEHOUSE STAMPS. My image was stamped in graphite black on vanilla cs then colored with copics. The icing is heated liquid applique. I used some 1/8 in green ribbon to cover the seam between the red cs and dp. I stamped the holly leaves in versa mark then cut them out. The red berries are from my hole puncher attached together with the holly leaves and attached to the corner of the focal image. I also stamped the holly & berries image in versa mark on the upper and lower right corners of the red cs. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Christmas Cupcake - THS
Paper: vanilla, red, green, HL Christmas dp
Ink: graphite black, versa mark

CSS Winter Sneak Peek Altered CD Case

This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Jonathan Adler and I found my inspiration from the colors in this darling PIG ORNAMENT & GIFT BOX. I love blue so this just popped right out at me. And OOHhh do I love snowmen and the ones in this darling WINTER set being released on the 15th of this month from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS are no exception to that rule. They are just too cute.
This wintery set is right up my alley since I love Christmas sets and snowmen. I received this CD case from the CSS company as a gift and thought I would alter it and add store my Christmas CD's in here so I can find them eaisly. I used some Image That textured CS from yrs ago I got at Wal Mart to cover the top then the front was decorated with 2 shades of blue cs. The focal image was stamped in black on white cs then colored with copics and attached. I applied some stickles bc you can not have snow that does not sparkle and shimmer can you? LOL. Hope you like it and be looking for this and many other sets on the 15th from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS.

Cowboy Snowman for Noah

What am I doing up at 3 am? That is what happens when you wake up screaming in your sleep from a nighmare. I hate it when that happens. This time I woke up my hubby as well. At least he has been able to go back to sleep. Me I have to be up in a couple of hrs anyway so I am probably up for the day. While I was up I figured I might as well make the best of it and check out the challenge. So this is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - a Christmas RAK and for my layout I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE. What a sad time this must be for Noah's family. You can find a link on the Limited Supply Challenge above to read about this darling little boy who the doctors say probably will NOT make it to Christmas so his family is having an early one for him. I am sending this out in express mail today and hope it finds him with a smile on his face. I braided 3 colors of hemp together and added a cowbow hat button for a bracelet. I love this darling snowman and hope he will too. Image was stamped in graphite black then colored with copics E33, E34, E37, E39, R24, R27, R29. I stamped the rope image in espresso ink My panel 2 is actually a wide Christmas ribbon. I am writing Noah to have him mom tie his bracelt on him. I sure hope he likes iit.

I stamped the cupcake on white cs using graphite black then colored with copic markers and traced the design with my white liquid applique. I stamped the topping in graphite black colored with copics, cut out and popped it up on top of the cupcake then used some liquid pearls for the candles and stickles on the flames. THT022 Christmas Stationary Plus DT Call

It is Thursday and time for another challenge from Ashley for the TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 022 - Stationary. Yep, Ashley has challenged us to make a Stationary set. Any style or version is acceptable. I have created a Christmas Stationary set for my Mother In Law who so much appreciates the hard work put into my designs.
Here is a snap of the outside of the folder. I used some textured red cs and some new My Minds Eye dp. I stamped the sentiments in real red and garden green and used some gree ribbon to secure the folder.
From the inside view you can see the decorated pages for writting on as well as the 2 Christmas cards.
Here is a close up of one of the writting pages.

And here is a close up view of the 2 cards included which also have decorated envelopes. Shannon will be so pleased these are ready to sign, address and mail. LOL. Well Jessie and his parents are back in Augusta for his Mom's skin graft tomorrow. I have an empty house. This morning was a frustrating time as I wanted to stamp and the TLC was pointing to a techique video that was not working. ggrrrr. I had seen this video a couple of wks ago and wanted to try it but did not write down the steps. So I was in the dark and could not watch the video until this afternoon. My stamp is from the dollar bin Snag'Em images from TREEHOUSE STAMPS. My image was stamped in black and colored with copic markers after using the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder and Labels #3 for the double emboss center. This is matted on baja breeze cs. This polar bear is just too adorable. My dp is from My Minds Eye Wonderful Winter. It is so glittery and shiny. My base is kiwi kiss cs.

Retiform Autumn Blessings

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE - Color Combo (Crushed curry, dusty Durango, soft suede, & a neutral). Ashley has chosen some perfect colors for us to be inspired by the changing of the seasons all around us. It is good to see the trees finally turning around here in the deep south. If you don't have these SU colors then she says still please free to play along with colors you do have close to these mentioned. I also did not get to do and wanted to try Monday's TECHNIQQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Retiform so I had to try it. Not as difficult as I thought it might be. I trimmed some of my post it notes in various shapes and began with crushed curry rolled then placed my post its and rolled dusty durango, then more post its and a light roll of soft suede on top to sorta give it an aged (distressed) look. My layout is from Sunday's CARD POSITIONING SYSTEMS SKETCH CHALLENGE # 139. Love this sketch. I used dusty durango for my base and a strip of durango on top of my retiform background panel. The sentiment on my focal panel was stamped in soft suede then the leaves inked in crushed curry and rolled in dusty durango then stamped randomly. I punched out 2 different types of leaves from Fiskars punches in crushed curry and sponged the edges with dusty durango then popped them up. The focal panel and matt were cut with Labels 4 Nestie. The nesties and the stamp set used called Autumn Blessings can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS. Hope you like it and come on play along with the THT challenge this week. Last week we had 22 stampers play along with the THT challenge. Ashley would love to see those 22 and more come back this week and play along with the color challenge, just remember to include THT021 in your keyword/tags when uploading to SCS or Paper Craft Planet. Thanks for taking a look and let me know what you think.
RECIPE:

It's Your Birthday Old Brawd

This is another one for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. OK ladies I need some help here. I have been talking with Shannon about how to kick up my designs a bit as they seem dull and plain to me. She suggested that I stop trying so hard to combine so many challenges. So this is just one challenge. I colored this darling image from a set I just got from Totally Stampalicious called Old Brawd. I just love this sassy lady. I used copics to color her. I cut the image Out of the Box and matted it on Riding Hood Red cs. I stamped the sentiment in black on kraft cs. I have never seen this Anya before but I do love it. I just received this adorable Vivi from The Greeting Farms newest release and I love her. She is just tooo cute. So I decided on using her for this weeks OUR CREATIVE CORNER where Lori challenged us this week to be inspired by our fav holiday movie or book. CSS Cookie Bake Wiper Card

Good News I am hoping! It looks like my MIL may get to come home today if the skin grafts done yesturday look OK today. She will have to go back next week for them to recheck but I know she would rather be home than stuck up there in that ICU and I am ready for my hubby to fill his side of the bed. Last night I kept moving over further and further trying to feel him over there.

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Always Bravo Cameo for my color combo and made another of Monday's super fun TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Wiper Card just because they are so much fun and so adorable. Simple Get Well Wishes Wiper Card

Whey I have missed my stamp time. I will be glad when my life returns to normal if it ever does. LOL. I usually do NOT stamp in the evening but am soo missing my dh as he is in August with his Mom so I thought I would knock out some challenges I missed. Jessie's Mom has seizures and for the 2nd time in 2months she has had a seizure while cooking at the stove that resulted in 2nd and 3rd degree burns. This time it was really bad and covered the entire inside of her right arm and the hand as well. After a short time in our ER here she was shipped to Augusta's burn center in ICU. Today they have began debriding and such. He is up there with his Dad.

So this is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Always Bravo Cameo, Monday's TECHNQIUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Wiper Card and my layout is from today's MERCY'S SKETCH CHALLENGE # 44. I love Mercy's sketch for today and knew I wanted to use it somehow. I had also viewed the video Beate did for the wiper card and I am a visual person so that was a great help and thought I would give it a try. Love it. I used my new Quickutz embossing folder I got at HL last Friday called diamonds and dots on the cameo layer. I stamped the open leaf image on my bravo burgandy base from this darling set called Simple Wishes found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS in bravo burgandy ink. I just can NOT stop using this darling flower set. I stamped the vanilla layer with the large flowers in cameo coral and the dotted centers with bravo burgandy after stamping off. Stickles to the centers. The leaves are in always artichoke. The little tag that pops up was stamped with get well wishes in burgandy and the small flower in cameo coral after stamping off. The 4 faux brads on the corners are from my crop-a-dile punch. I love how this turned out but what do you think?

THT019 CASING Me with Autumn Blessings

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Autum Leaves and for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE 019 - CASEing Neva. Yep, that's right, I am CASEing myself this week. Hey I love a challenge and there is not many I will not do. TeeHee. OK so I love trying to make unique shaped cards and this SUNSHINE SCALLOPS Circle Card was soo much fun I decided to try a pumpkin shaped card when I got my new Nestie Pumpkin dies. I envisioned not taking my folded CS all the way to the top would allow for a fold at the top and it did. YEAH! I used the largest for the base and the next one for the front which was also embossed then I used my birthday present to myself that I bought last week on shopping trip with my darling hubby. I bought an air compressor for my Copic Airbrushing system as I am terrified of the cans. I know stupid right, but a fear of explosion is real to me. So I am not so afraid of my compressor, go figure. Anyway I used some Y11 in the center with the die still in place, then some Y26 around the edges. I placed the leaves punched in kiwi kiss around the sentiment stamped in dusty durango. I love how this turned out and hope you do too. Come on play along with the THT challenge. Ashley and all the DT would love to see what you come up with. Just make sure to include THT019 in your keword.

THS Best Witches

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Easel Card. It took me longer to load this than it did to make it. What a quickie and fun card this is. I will be making more. I also had to make my own button which was TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - 5 Layer Buttons from a few weeks ago. Love that one too. I used Recollections Halloween dp for this and kiwi kiss on the front panel. I punched a Martha Stewart Witch and Cauldron & Spider in black and stamped this cute sentiment from a recently released set called "Best Witches" from TREEHOUSE STAMPS in black. Here is a close up of the button I made using a different piece of dp from that same stack of Recollections. I love making my own buttons.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Best Witches - THS
Paper: Recollections - Halloween, kiwi kiss
Ink: black
Accessories: Martha Stewart Witch and Cauldron & Spider Punches

Simple Autumn Blessings for Fall

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Glowbug. I found this FALL/HARVEST RECIPE BOOK and loved the way she used the sunflowers behind the pumpkins. I never have been good at mixing dp's and probably not a good one here either but I tried by using her SCARECROW for inspiration. So I combined combined my 2 inspirational pieces together. I changed the layout by using this weeks OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - SKETCH and I changed the colors. This is also for Friday's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Simply "Fall"ing. My images are from 2 of the recent releases from TREEHOUSE STAMPS called Autumn Blessings and Simple Wishes. I just love both of these sets so much and can not stop using them. Hope you do too.
