Boo To You 4X4 Color Blocking

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 84 - Patterned Legos, and today's QUEEN FOR THE DAY # 80 - Dawn who is also today's F4A presenter and so I decided to CASE her TRICK OR TREAT CARD that she made as a sample for today's F4A challenge.
I changed the colors, left off the image, ribbon, charm and brads. I used the same stamp set she used but a different sentiment and my layout is from Monday's MOJO MONDAY CHALLENGE # 208 which worked perfectly with today's F4A challenge. Now how could I resist combining these?
My stamp set is a recently released set from MARKS FINEST PAPERS called "BOO To You". Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: BOO To You - MFP
Paper: black, Recollections dp
Ink: momento tuxedo black
Accessories: spica glitter pen
Techniques: color blocking

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 352 and what a layout it is too. Had a rough time with this one.
My colors are from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 342 - Cherry Expresso Party.
This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 344 - Covered Chipboard.
I was just talking with someone about how long it had been since I dusted off my quickutz and today I did it. I used an alphabet called "Marissa" cutting the "B" in BG Oliver dp also used as panel 2. My circle is a portion of a sentiment in "BOO TO YOU" acrylic stamp set from MARKS FINEST PAPERS. I stamped the focal image from "GET YOUR BROOM ON" also from MFP, in espresso ink. I colored with copics.
My panel 3 is Espresso cs embossed with Cuttlebug's Spider Web folder.
Hope you like it.

Paper: vanilla, cherry cobbler, early expresso, BG Oliver

Autumn Glory

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 344 - Covered Chipboard. Since I have no chipboard and desparetly wanted to play I made my own chipboard from the insert board from my Creative Memories oval shape cuts. I stamped the leave in Momento rich cocoa on Bo Bunny - Forever Fall dp and then cut it out, adhered it to the board and cut it out again. Hope this counts.
The paper piecing I did also qualifies for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENG E# 137 - Paper Piecing. I stamped both the leaf and pumpkin on the dp then cut them out, the pumpkin was glued to the main image and then the rest colored with copics. I sponged some tempting turquoise very lightly for clouds. My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 341 - Tempting Pumpkin Olives which are perfect colors for fall. Now how could I resist using them again with this fabulous set called "AUTUMN GLORY" just released this month from MARKS FINEST PAPERS.
Hope you like it, I love how this turned out.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Autumn Glory - MFP
Paper: vanilla, old olive, Bo Bunny Forever Fall
Ink: momento rich cocoa
Accessories: chipboard, Nestie Label 11
Techniques: paper piecing, covered chipboard

Hi, hope you are enjoying this 2nd day of Fall. I love this time of year when the leaves are changing and everyone is buying up those mounds of Christmas gifts to beat that last minute shuffle that happens on Dec 24th.

This little guy just tickles my funny bone. He has jumped into Santa's boot. Now just tell me how is Santa going to deliver all of those toys if he can not get his boots on?

1st Vacation in 4 yrs

OH WOW,
I can not believe Jessie & I have been on vacation almost 2 weeks.  His started last Monday, mine that Thursday.  We went to St.George Island and the beach was amazing.  I was afraid the water would be too cool to get in but I was able to get in the beach and the pool. Jessie even got in the pool with me. We spent 3 glorious days at the beach then came home and loaded up Monday and headed to Pine Mountain, GA.
WOW was that amazing. Our cabin was darling and so cozy.  We did have a lot of rain especially Tuesday night. I certainly could have done without all the thunder and lightening.
View from the back porch

Daffy, Donald, Daisy, Huey, Duey, & Louey payed a visit every time the back door opened.

Um, this one speaks for itself

I had been sitting on the couch for about 30min before I realized this pouting kid in the corner was there. It was so precious.

Wednesday we visited FDR's "Little White House"

This is the chair he was sitting in while having his portrait painted, the portrait that is left unfinished as he died after complaining of a severe headache

Here is the bed that FDR slept in while visiting Pine Mountain on his 41 visits.  I touched the foot board of the bed that a formed leader of our nation once slept on.  I stood in AWE. This was an amazing adventure.

And here is my project I created for you. It is a covered post-it note. I use post-it notes all the time and love to have them decorated for my desk so I am gifting this to one of my co-workers for her desk. I think she will like it.
I stamped my image in momento tuxedo black then colored with copics (see pic below for colors).  I then added some white liquid applique allowed it to dry then heat set from the back side of the cs. This makes it sorta poofy.  Hoping it looks like snow which I am praying we do not see again this year.  Had it 2 times last winter.  I am not adaptable to snow that is why I live in the deep south. LOL.

I raised the top up so you could see the post-it note underneath:
Here are the copics I used for coloring.
Now go check out the other DT members and see what eye candy they have created for you.

Whooo Hooo Did you know  SWEET N SASSY was now a Member Company over at SPLITCOAST STAMPERS?  Well they are. And today SCS is having a LABOR DAY BLOG HOP. So come on and hop along with us. (see list below)
The theme is AUTUMN and here is what I came up with using AUTUMN BOUNTY stamp set released in August.

Back To School With Autumn Bounty Blessings

Happy Thursday and the 1st day of September. This year will be over before we know it. Where does the time fly to? Oh well as the old saying goes "time marches on" and so it does.  Here we are at the front door of Fall already and my grandchildren must be skipping Thanksgiving because they are already telling me what they want for Christmas. LOL. Kids are so precious, no matter what the age.
For this card today I stamped the focal image on white cs then colored with copics and matted on pumpkin pie on the inside panel. The base is white with a frame embossed then I cut the inside section out for a window card.  I stamped the sentiment in pumpkin pie.  I love that saying.
