Simple Wishes Friends

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. For my color combo I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pretty in Gray Shadows and for some zinge I used Tuesday's ARTFUL INKABLES CHALLENGE 04 - Sparkle see my stickles on the flower centers and the gem in the butterflies?. I also had to do another of Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Foil Embossing. Just love that technique. Well there is absolutely NO coloring on this and that is rare for me. Since discovering Copics especially.LOL. Anyway this darling flower set just released at midnight from TREEHOUSE STAMPS along with 3 other darling fall/halloween sets. I made this especially for a darling friend and really hope she likes it. You can never have too many friends and at times I feel as though I have none and wonder if everyone feels that way from time to time so I am sending this just to remind her that I will always be a friend. I stamped the 2 sizes of flowers with pretty in pink then the matching centers with sage shadow on the base then stamped off for the 1 inch squared panels 3a & b. On the 1 inch panels I then stamped the sentiment in sage shadow and popped them up. Panel 2 is my foil embossed Cuttlebug dots folder with ribbon tied around it. I punched the Martha Stewart butterflies, glued together then added 1 gem in the center and popped them up. So how did I do?
RECIPE:
Stamps: Simple Wishes - THS
Paper: white, pretty in pink, sage shadow, going gray
Ink: pretty in pink, sage shadow
Accessories: cuttlebug swiss dot ep folder, stickles, MS Butterfly Punches, Square Scalloped punch, 1 in square punch, ribbon, tin foil

I stamped the Eat Ham on white, drew a box around it and used the stem from Simple Wishes #one of the other sets being released# for the sign post. This is popped up in front of the turkey image. I used some stripped dp I also got from Treehouse Stamps and some matching solid cs for the top. I hand doodled across the top and joined the dp and cs with some brown 1/2in satin ribbon. I really hope you like it.

Scary Orange Spiders

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - S.O.S.. My SOS is
S- Spiders, Scardy Cat, stickles, Scallop, Square
O- Orange pumpkin
S- Spooky theme, Satin Ribbon, shimerez

and since Shannon restricted me to 1 challenge yesturday and I lived through it I just had to come back to my normal multichallenges (see my tongue stickin out at her?). This is also for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Step Out of Your Box today I did watercoloring and many matted layers where I typically use copic coloring and rarely matt all the layers when there are 3 or more and I usually cheat by cutting the centers out if I do matt more than 2 layers so that the card does not weigh as much but today, no cheating for me. So not like me. I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE for my layout and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Crushed Black Razzleberries. I stamped my image in black on watercolor paper then colored with watercolor crayons. Then I painted on some shimmerz Gold on the pumpkin and filled the eyes and mouth section with stickles. I tied some black and yellow satin ribbon on panel 2 then popped up a Martha Stewart spider and my main panel. My image is from Hambo and the sentiment is from the dollar rack at Michaels from yrs ago. I love how this turned out and hope you do too.

Single Pirate Challenge

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Step Out of Your Box. Well I had a heck of time with this one. I tried all day to think of what to do. Well I get home from work and while I am talking with Shannon I asked for her advice of what I could do. So here is what she said "You need to do a SINGLE CHALLENGE with a lot of layers", LOL. So here is my attempt and I promise the cs I used is not SU colors, they are from some scraps I bought at Wal-Mart yrs ago and just do not photo well. The side panel is actually a blueish purple IRL. I also very seldom ever try to make my own dp bc I am just not very good at it so I tried that today. I also never do square cards, don't like 'em , can't find envelopes for them. I also very seldom ever do the inside of my card when I make it, usually when I get ready to give it I finish it up then I can't decide what colors I used. I also rarely ever just stamp bold images, I usually emboss them bc I just can NOT get a good impression from bold images. So since Shannon limited me to 1 challenge I decided to do multiple things I never or rarely ever do. LOL. That is still out of the box for me. Hope you like it.

TH016 Happy Fall Y'all

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE - Masking. Yep this week Ashley has challenged us to use the Masking technique.
How do you mask? Stamp your image on cardstock, stamp that same image on a post it note or regular paper and cut that one out. I use 2 sided tape and then tape my clothes several times to help remove some of the tacky so it removes from the cs easier. Take your cut out image and cover the stamped image on your card stock then stamp the image off to the side. This gives your creation a dimensional look.
For this card I used the barn image and the pumpkin as my masks. After stamping in black I colored with copics. My stamp set is called Happy Fall Y'all and my dp is from Basic Grey - Ambosia stack which also can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS. I used some matching cs for my base and stamped my sentiment directly onto my dp using espresso ink. My layout is from CLEAN & SIMPLE's Sketch last week. Come on and play along with the challenge today. Just include THT016 in your keyword when you upload to splitcoast stampers.

PTI Out of the box In Bloom

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I found some gorgeous dp at Michaels on my last shopping trip that I thought would be a perfect match with a set I picked up at CHA in July from Paper Trey Ink - In Bloom and I am ashamed to admit today was the first time it has gotten inked. Too much new stuff huh? Oh well it got it today. I love these darling flowers and leaves. On PTI vanilla cs I stamped the flower in ruby red, masked, then stamped the leaves in green galore and then colored with copics. I punched out one Martha Stewart Butterfly from the dp and 4 more in white cs punched 2 eyes and made my own button for Monday's really kewl TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - 5 layer buttons. I just love making these.

Spooky Sweet Sneak Peek

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Crushed Black Razzleberries, and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE SKETCH # 33. I just love today's colors and this time I decided to use the dp that I feel is a close match from Recollections Halloween stack I picked up at Michaels a couple of weeks ago. Just love it, don't you? I stamped the sentiment in rich razzleberry directly on the dp. I punched out 2 Martha Stewart Witch and Cauldron punches in black and glued the cauldrons together then popped the whole die cut up on dimensionals. I love how it looks like 2 witches stirring the pot instead of 1. The sentiment and candy corn images are just a small part of a darling halloween set comeing out October 1st from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS so be watching. Just thought I would tease you a bit. TeeHee.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Spooky Sweets - CSS

Razzleberry Lemonade is Hard To Say

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Crushed Black Razzleberries. For my layout I used Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE SKETCH CHALLENGE # 33. I also made my own button using Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - 5 Layer Buttons. I punched 4 white quickutz buttons and then 1 in razzleberry lemonade dp, adhered them together and covered them with crysal effects after sanding the edges. I knew Monday I was going to use this dp that at first I was not too sure about but am in love with now. I really think this made a gorgeous button. I used some ribbon for the middle panel. My focal panel is a sentiment and it is stamped in basic black ink then matted on razzleberry then crushed curry cs. I ddodled around the edge with my razzleberry marker. My base is crushed curry layered with razzleberry lemonade dp. I hope you like it as much as I do. If you notice the time of upload you will see that I was up stamping when I should have been sleeping. I hate nights of insomnia. gggggrrrrrr.

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - 5 Layer Buttons. Oh man was this a fun one. I can not wait to keep using this technique. I punched 5 ghost in white cs and 5 scaredy cats in black cs from a Fiskars Halloween punch. Glued them together, punched holes in the ghost with my crop-a-dile and paper piercer on the cat. I used opposite colored twine attached to the upper corners then covered with crystal effects. I punched out 2 of the witch and cauldrons from Martha Stewart's new halloween punch line and glued the cauldrons together so that there were 2 witches stirring the brew, heeeeheeehee. I know this is sorta plain but I just did not want to cover up very much of this darling dp. My sentiments are from a set just released from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS - Bewitched. Such a fun Halloween set to use. My dp is from Recollections Halloween stack I picked up at Michaels. Hope you like it.

My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Whisper Pretty Soft Suede. My layout is from this month's DIRTY DOZEN SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used a tank stamp and sentiment that I got from Hambo years ago. I made this a feminine theme for the colors I wanted to use. The pink cameo ribbon I picked up at Wal-Mart also yrs ago. Happy Birtthday Opposites

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Opposites, Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Red, Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and also COPIC COLOR CHALLENGE -R29, BG05, Y15. When I was first introduced to stamping at a SU class I was hooked but being the frugile (not cheap) person that I am I looked for other avenues to meet my needs in a less expensive way thinking that would allow me to have more money to buy more stuff. These stamps and paper were some of the 1st things I bought at the dollar store. I later discovered there IS a differnce in dollar store paper and SU or PTI cardstock. My newest tool is the EK Success bubble border punch. My favorite colors are brights but especially blues, reds, and yellows which totally went along with the WT and copic color challenge so how could I not included them. My least fav embellishement are these gosh awful huge brads that I just had to have and never used bc they are soooo big. How did I do?
RECIPE:
Stamps: dollar store
Paper: white, red, blue, red
Ink: black

CSS TTC09 Cover It with Sneak Peeks

Today is the 2nd Tuesday of the month and that means it is time for another Take The Challenge from Clear & Simple Stamps Blog. This months TTC is to cover something like we used to do in school.

First Up
I covered an orange note pad using some black cardstock over the back and entirely on the front. I punched the left and right sides of the orange textured cs with my Fiskars bat border punch. I stamped my sentiment and images in black brilliance then colored the pumpkins with copic markers.

For the inside I stamped the pumpkin and sentiment in pumpkin pie ink. To make this covered not pad I used a set that will be released September 15th called Pumpkin Patch. It is just darling

Next Up
For this darling little project I used a set that will be released on the 15th called BEWITCHED. I decorated the front side of a small notepad that comes with a cute pen. I heat embossed the sentiment and images with black embossing powder and mustard seed ep. I punched the bat and cat in black cs and popped them up. I thought the cat would look cute hissing at the cats on the ribbon. Hope you like them and are inspired to play along with the design team to COVER IT. Just make sure to put TTCC09 in the keywords on Splitcoast when you upload so we can check out what you made.

Pumpkin Patch Sneak Peek

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - MYO Stamps, also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 31 - Pop It Up and for my layout I used SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 34. I stamped a couple of the pumpkins on the focal image panel then masked and stamped a couple more off the the sides and stamped 2 by themselves to cut out and pop up. All images were colored with copics. For today's TLC I ran some fun foam through the cuttlebug using Pumpkin Harvest Embossing Folder. This was my 4th and final attempt. I almost gave up. I have used foam before to make images for stamping but never tried the CB. Will NOT be trying the CB again for that. The foam just would not take the shape well and then would return back to its flat self before I could get it inked. I tried many different combinations of sandwiches to make it work and was afraid on the last attempt that I was going to break my CB. NOT worth it. Anyway the last try was a little more sucessful and I am satisfied with the results. I inked my stamp up with pumpkin pie and stamped ontop of some Recollections Halloween dp I picked up at Michaels Saturday. I used the rest of the sheet for my base adn matted it on crushed curry. My focal panel was matted with pumpkin pie and then old olive. Some Birdy Loves Lori

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - LMcAree. So I almost woke up dh when I saw who was being featured today. Shannon and I meet Lori in person at CHA in July and the 3 of us along with her sister had an absolute blast hanging out together. I am ready to hook up again Lori. Needless to say I was more than happy to CASE her AWESOME creative gallery. She is one talented lady. So I decided to CASE a card she made with a stamp set we received at the SCS section for doing Taylors' Make and Take. I love her TECC76 CARD. I changed the colors, layout, and ribbon slider. I cut and embossed my focal image and matt with Nestie Large Rectangles & lg Scallop Rectangles then stamped the image on the white panel in black and colored with copics. The sentiment was inked with matching SU in-color markers then stamped above the image. I applied some stickles to the flowers and bird wing and popped the main image layer up on the matt. For panel 2 I used the blossoms CB embossing folder then sanded the raised portions and applied some stickles randomly around the hearts etc. I also sanded the dp for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Sand It. My layout is Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and my color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Crushed Bermuday Mango. We are headed out of town for the rest of this holiday so please anyone and everyone on the roads be careful out there and have a great holiday.

In Bloom Gift Card Scrapling Purse

This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Moyna Bags. I was totally inspired by the print on this Fall-Winter Bag but I love this weeks colors so I changed it to fit Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Crushed Bermuda Mango. I also wanted to make another scrapling for Friday's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE] so I made my purse a clutch style. I snook a peak at the IC gallery before I started and I am totally CASEing Bonnie's MY CLUTCH PURSE. I loved her idea with the brads. So cute. I left my bag rectangle shape and did not use glitter around the edges though. Inside is crushed curry cs holding the gift card. For the purse I used a scrap piece of Bermuda Bay cs stamped with my brand new, arrived just last night, background stamp from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS - Dots & Lines which will be available Sept 15th and In Bloom flower set stamped with versamark then heat embossed with gold ep, colored with copics, cut out and popped up. I love this background pattern. Hope you like it too.
RECIPE:
Stamps: In Bloom, Dots & Lines Background - Clear and Simple Stamps
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, white
Ink: black, versamark
Accessories: copics, gold embossing powder, gift card, brads

Praise Him Bookmark

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Scraplings. My brain went into panic until I thought about a bookmark. Yea, that's what I'll do so I did. I used a strip from a previous cut down of white and close to cocoa cs. This is also for today's NO TIME TO STAMP - Overstamped Sentiment which I love to do. For my color combo I used today's STAMPIN' B's CHALLENGE #22. To make a card using Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and any neutral. I stamped the sentiment in choc chip then the cross in creamy caramel. I sponged the edges with close to cocoa. I attached a wide eyelet and then a brad in the center to adhere my ribbon with. This awesome stamp set is from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS - Praise Him. I will be giving this to my FIL next month for his birthday. He is a sunday school teacher and I think he will like this.

Peace Within Summer End

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Sand It, Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Crushed Bermuda Mango. WOW this was a 10 min card. I can not believe it. I stamped the my sentiment and Itty bitty background image in BB on BB cs. I trimmed the top of the crushed curry layer with my new EK Success beach border punch that I bought and have only used 1 time. My focal image was stamped in black brilliance then colored with copics. I applied 2 way glue under the chair and around the flower pot then applied some beach sand and a tiny piece of broken sea shell collected at one of our many St.George Island trips. I am ready to go back and was hoping to this weekend. I hate to see summer end. Love the beach and swimming and I love how this turned out even if I ended up covering up my sentiment. I just realized that BTW.
RECIPE:
Stamps:
Peace Within, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Paper: white, bermuda bay, crushed curry, melon mambo
Ink: black brilliance, bermuda bay
Accessories: sand, ribbon, EK Success border punch

CASEing Pam with Birthday Greetings

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE - CASEing Pam. This week we are to browse through the delicious gallery of our very own DT member, PAM VANELL, filled with gorgeous inspirational pieces, pick one and CASE(copy and share everything) it. WOW Pam is just so talented it was hard to pick one and still do it justice but I finally settled on her HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD. I changed the layout to use Saturday's Sketch from the OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE Blog. I just love this layout and have used it already several times. This time I did not make a slider card just a regular card. The dp and the stamp set I used are both from TREEHOUSE STAMPS. I used some matching cardstock for the base and matts. I used a circle punch for the flower on the tip. My image was stamped in black brilliance then colored with copics. I filled in the candle with white liquid pearls and the flame with stickles. I love how this turned out and really hope that Pam does too especially since it is already in her hot little hands. Yep She has a birthday tomorrow so I made this just for her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU MY FRIEND

Masked Medallion Butterfly Blingattude

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Crushed Bermuda Mango Yiippee the new in-colors. I love them all this time again. I also did another Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Masked Frame. Not sure I am as happy with it as my 1st try Monday but done nevertheless. For my layout I used Monday's MOJO SKETCH. I stamped the medallion background on paper then trimmed the inner circle out to use as a mask. I inked the medallion with my bermuda bay marker (so happy they decided to take my advice and make these) then stamped with the circle masking the inner section of the image. I then sponged the edges with crushed curry. My focal image is the smaller butterfly in a gorgeous set from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Butterfly Kisses. I inked the image with crushed curry then rolled it in melon mambo and stamped in the center. I drew lines around the masked circle for definition. Each wing of the butterfly has 4 small 3mm circles just right for some 3mm gems, I used some gold, crystal and pink. The sentiment was inked with melon mambo and bermuda bay then stamped and matter with bermuda bay. The small butterflies were stamped with crushed curry then matted on crushed curry. I used some bermuda bay dotted ribbon. My base layer is melon mambo and the dp is from DCWV Blossoms & Butterfly glitter mat pack. I covered the medallion with stickles. WOW this card has BLINGATTUDE. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Medallion - SU, Butterfly Kisses - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, melon mambo, bermuda bay, crushed curry, DCWV dp
Ink: bermuda bay, crushed curry, melon mambo
Accessories: ribbon, bling, stickles, dimensionals
Techniques: Masked Frame, Rock & Roll
