Season's Greetings 2013

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 453 - Always Baked Cherries wiith a Dessert option of Holiday Card, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 456 - Wreath Building, and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 247 - Inspired by Music my music is "it's begining to look a lot like Christmas" that song is stuck in my head today. Everywhere you go all you see is Christmas decorations. I would just like to make it through Thanksgiving first. Oh well. It has been a while since I played along but could not resist this morning. Creative juices were flowing and why would I hold them back? LOL.

All Natural Thank You

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 446 - Crazy Suede Starfruit, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 449 - Faux Whitewashing, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 240 - Pinterest Inspiration Photo, and Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 313.
How could I not put all of these together when they all fit so well. Thanks for setting it all up for me.
I had fun with this creation even if I may not have done the TLC right. Not sure if I did or not but I did finish it. My circles ended up WAY bigger than I needed but again Oh Well. It is what it is.

It's Jimmy's Birthday

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 447 - Fill It Up. I used the small HB solid image and stamped in all 3 colors in today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 238 - Color Challenge (smokey slate grey, melon mambo, midnight muse. My layout is from today's MONDAY'S MOJO SKETCH CHALLENGE # 311.
I embossed the smokey slate circle using cuttlebugs Happy Birthday embossing folder then brushed the raised images with midnight muse ink.
I needed a birthday card this afternoon for our brother in law, the family is coming over for a fish supper. Hope he likes it.

Loads of Love for Michele

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 441 - Navy Cajun Sky, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 444 - Stamping on DP, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 235 - Going on a Road Trip and for my layout I used Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 308.
We just got home from a couple of road trips. My 1st real week vacation in probably 3 yrs that ranged from Fernadina Beach FL to Chattanooga, TN. Whoo hoo, I had to get back to work so I could get some rest. LOL.
I stamped the LOADS OF LOVE sentiment in cajun craze and night of navy on my road map dp then on my popped up focal image in cajun craze also. I stamped the images in momento tuxedo black then colored with copics. Yep I dusted them bad boys off and used them. I was afraid I had forgotten how to use them it has been so long.
Anyway let's go to work and make some money so we can go on another road trip.

A CASE of Sunflowers

 This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 439 - Old Melon Daffodils\, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 442 - External Frame Internal Greeting I did add a short sentiment on the top of the outside, eeek but the rest of it is on the inside; and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 233 - CASE of a CAS - hskelly. I love Harriett and have served on several dt's along with her. She is a fabulous person and crafter to boot. I CASED Harriett's lovely DTGD SUNFLOWER. Hope I did it justice.
I have been in a mood lately and NOT much in the stampin' mood I am afraid to say. Things are just a little crazy around here but I had to play today. Love the colors.
I used white cs for my base inside front framed with old olive and inside back trimmed with daffodil delight. I stamped using this gorgeous 2 step stamp set from way back and did not even have to use the stamp-a-ma-jig. Yeah!
I added stickles to the center and leaves and embossed the bottom from with Sizzix Script EF.

Floating Along with Reflections

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 436 - Bashful Marina Corals, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 439 - Reflective Stamping, Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 230 - Pinterest Inspiration and Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 301. Playing catch up with some challenges. I used a set from Marks Finest Papers that I received as a design team member and stamped on white then on acetate for the reflective stamping, I colored with copics then matted on calypso coral cs. I stamped the single swan facing the one in the landscaped image to get their necks close enough together to make a heart for the inspirational pic. My sentiments are stamped in marina mist and calypso coral and I tied some calypso coral ribbon around the marina mist cs at the bottom.

Lovely Tissue Stamped Christmas Tree

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 434 - Christmas Cake Green, Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 437 - Tissue Stamping and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 228 - Technique Challenge (Masking on a Single Layer)
I used Nestie's Label 4 for my Mask to ink the inside with crumb cake and to stamp the tree which was inked in gumball green. I used reverse mask to stamp the sentiment from All Year Cheer I inked with cherry cobbler ink. I used some Christmas Red Stickles to create ornaments on the tree.

I used 3 shades of pink for my card and Nesties Label 4 for my masking. I hope I did the TLC right. I am finding myself without inspiration lately which I why I have not been in the galleries. I hope my mojo has not left me for good. If it has you can look for some really good sales. I have a room full of stamping stuff.

So Many July 4th Sayings

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 436 - Twisted Traditions 2 where we were to make a non-traditional card using traditional holiday colors. I chose some dp from DCWV "Summer Combo Stack" I have had for eons. I paper pieced the swim suit with one piece and the hat with another then punched a flower out of the swim suit piece and popped it up on dimensionals.
This is also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 239 - Theme "Summer Fun" and the beach is what I consider Summer Fun and I am sooo ready to hit it again but for now it is off to work I go.

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 432 - Smoky Curry Cabanna. I do not yet have the new in-colors so I found some dp that I am hoping is close to the colors, if not somebody post my bail as I have to work so I can buy these new colors. LOL.
This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 435 - Angled Background.
I used an image from Stamps Away called "Cat on a dress" that I have always adored. I colored her and the cat with copics and paper pieced the dress.

Please Be Seated with Angles

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 435 - Angled Background and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 226 - Pinterest Inspiration
I stamped my focal image in basic black on vanilla then colored with copics. The sofa is actually NOT the same color as that 1st pillow. I colored the pillows to match the colors of the chairs in the inspiration photo.
I made this for my dh who has been faced with some difficulties in life and soared well above the challenges with flying colors. I am so proud of him. I hope he likes it.

Popped up Sending Love and Sympathy

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 430 - Deightlful Olive Pears with a dessert option of flowers.
I used a Stampin Up set called Love & Sympathy, I used SU Markers to ink the stems in old olive and pear pizzazz then the flower in daffodil delight, huffed and stamped on white. I stamped the "sending" portion of the sentiment in daffodil delight on the white panel then the remainder of the sentiment on white and cut into an oval shape then popped it up on dimensionals for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 433 - Pop Up Part of the Sentiment. I embossed the focal panel with Sizzix Square Lattice EF and matted this on Pear Pizzazz cs.

Popped Up "T"hank You

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 433 - Pop up part of sentiment and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 239 - Color Challenge (Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, White). I found this gorgeouse piece of dp on the top of a "no-name" stack and used it. I stamped the sentiment in pear pizzazz then in melon mambo and cut the "T" out of the melon mambo stamping then popped it up on dimensionals. Hope you have a beautimous Monday.

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 429 - Soft Pink Sand with a dessert of butterflies. I love these soft summer colors and butterflies so how could I not play along today.
My layout is from Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 296
I used some dp from Basic Gray's Hopscotch stack thinking it was very close until I looked at the pic. Sorry. Oh Well gotta go to work and no time for do-over.
I used circle punches and my faux brads are done with my crop-a-dile.

Paper Pierced Father's Day

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 432 - 1-2-3-Pop where we were to use 2 neurtrals and one color to pop out at you, today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 223 - Tool Time where we were to use our paper piercer and my layout is from last Monday's MOJO MONDAY'S SKETCH CHALLENGE # 295.
I used Stampin' Up's DAD'S DAY stamp image for the center diamond stamped in cherry cobbler and the punched out Star. My base is white and I used Sahara Sand and Basic Gray cs. I paper pierced the sahara sand panel. I had to free hand wrote my sentiment as I did not have one that fit my needs.

Bokeh Beachy Sympathy

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 426 - Certainly Bermuda Roses with a dessert option of words of encouragement. What lovely colors and who wouldn't like to be lifted up. I try NOT to make dark and gloomy colored sympathy cards. I will have this ready for one of my beach lovin friends if the time comes.
This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 429 - Bokeh Effect. Hope I did it right.
My layout is from Saturday's SWEET STOP SKETCHES # 210.
I used some dp from The Paper Studio "a day at the Beach" stack and matted on regal rose and bermuda bay cs then tied some ribbon on the bermuda bay strip.
I stamped the image in regal rose and certainly celery inks then sponged. The sentiment is stamped in bermuda bay ink.

His Child

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 435 and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 425 - Basically Brides Pirouettes. This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 428 - Happy Birthday Joan where I CASED her TAKE FLIGHT changing the colors, layout and theme. I love silhouettes and especially of little girls at play.
I used a brand new to me set from Sweet N Sassy stamps called "His Child". I stamped the image in basic gray and the sentiment in Pretty in Pink (needed a darker pink that would show up) then matted on basic gray cs. My dp is from My Minds Eye stack "Everyday Tango". One piece is matted on pink pirouette and the other on blushing bride. My base is white and I embossed the basic gray piece with Sizzix "Bricked" embossing folder.
Now let's go to work and earn some money for more stamps and supplies. LOL

A Wild Rose for Mother's Day

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 428 - Happy Birthday Joan where we were to go back through the TLC list and do one hosted by Joan and/or CASE a card from her gallery. I did both by choosing this TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 412 - Let the Paper Inside Showand by CASEing her sample of OWL YOU NEED IS LOVE. I let the inside dp show by leaving the hole open and edging the side with a Fiskars border punch. 
This is also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 219 - CAS Featured Player - Bon2stamp. I CASED her YELLOW DELIGHT changing from a daisy to a rose, changing the colors and leaving off the nestie dies.
My color combo is from last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 424 - Prim White Corals. I stamped the solid image of the rose after stamping off using Cameo Coral ink on white then stamped the 2nd image in Primrose petals. My sentiment is from "All Holiday's" and is stamped in primrose petals.

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 424 - Prim White Coral. No lacey dessert for me today.
My cameo coral panel with the chevrons is for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENG E# 427 - Make Your Own Chevrons. I used white cs for my chevrons. My dp is from My Minds Eye - It's My Party stack and both are matted on primrose petal cs.
My layout is from Mondays' MOJO MONDAY'S SKETCH CHALLENGE # 291.
My sentiment is from All Year Cheer II and is stamped in primrose petal on white and matted on primrose petal.

Colors of Sunset with Love and Sympathy

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 427 - Make Your Own Chevrons these are easy peasy, I used the tutorial from SCS for CHEVRON STRIPS provided.
I used last weeks COLOR CHALLENGE # 423 - Quite A River Breeze for my color combo to go with today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 218 - Inspired Quote because the baja breeze is like the blue sky and the Not Quite Navy is the deepest sky color after a sunset. My layout is from last Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 432.
I used the same stamp set, dp, punches and design for the focal panel as I never have enough masculine sympathy cards.

Oliver's Love & Sympathy

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 433.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 423 - Quite a River Breeze with stripes and plaids for dessert option.
My horizontal panel of baja breeze cardstock is difficult to see however trust me there is white ribbon colored with a not quite navy marker and looped around the cs all the way across for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 426 - Scrappy and Loopy.
My vertical panel is from Basic Grey's Oliver stack. I stamped the sentiment in not quite navy then the flower image in baja breeze on vanilla cs, punched with circle punch then matted on scalloped circle night of navy and popped it up on dimensionals. My base is river rock.

Perfectly Penned Thank You

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 426 - Scrappy and Loopy, today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 217 - Sketch. My color combo is from last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 422 - Elegant Mambo On The River. I still had the remainder of dp used last week and decided to use some more of it for this Thank You greeting card. I stamped the sentiment in melon mambo then doodled around with elegant eggplant marker. I did not have any elegant eggplant ribbon so I took some white and colored it with my elegant eggplant SU Marker.

Short & Sweet Flip Flip Wedding Wishes

OK so I had everything typed and ready to SUBMIT yesterday when the power went off. Needing to get onto work I had to just give up on loading what I had worked on for the days challenge. Now this morning the sketch is not up yet so I decided to load yesterdays efforts anyway so this is for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 422 - Elegant Mambo on the River
My layout is from Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 425 - Flip Flop Card and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 216 - Pinterest Inspiration.
The wedding cake I used is a stamp I got eons ago from the dollar bin at Michaels. I stamped the sentiment from Short and Sweet in elegant eggplant even though it looks black. I colored the cake with copic markers then added some stickles. I loved the flowers in this Paper Studio dp and the centers looked like 4 hole buttons so I used my quickutz button die and some elegant eggplant cs and went with it. I used my Martha Stewart Button punch and a hole puncher to make my closure along with some melon colored baker's twine and viola, it was done. Now off to work I go,

Flip Flop Gift Card Holder Sew What?

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 425 - Flip Flop Card and today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 216 - Pinterest Inspiration Challenge. I loved all of those buttons and could not resist creating my own button using the DP from my Flip Flop gift card holder. I am always looking for new and exciting ways to give a gift card and this is one of them. Thanks for the tutorial too since I am a visual rather than a reader. I used bakers twine threaded through the botton that is popped up on dimensionals for closing the used my crop-a-dile to make holes on the side to tie the bow and complete the closing. My card stock is some WAY BACK retired Mauve Mist I bought from a retired SU demo way back. I use it every chance I get so hopefully they will bring it back one day. LOL. Such a pretty color. Hope you like it.

Fun on the Farm with Tilting Cows

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 431, Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 421 - Black Coral Breeze and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 424 - I like to Move It, Move It where today I used a technique style called TILT CARD found in the SCS tutorials. I have used this technique and this same image before and wanted to do it again. I just think this spotted cow is adorable. My dp is from My Minds Eye - Home stack and I seemed the 2 different pieces together with a strip of black topped with some calypso coral ribbon. My sentiment was stamped in baja breeze. Hope everyone has a beautiful Wednesday, now off to work I go.

Suprise Pop Up Mother's Day Flight of the Butterfly

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 421 - Black Coral Breeze and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 424 - I Like to Move it Move it. I chose to do a surprise pop up Mother's Day card using SCS tutorial found HERE.
My dp is from My Minds Eye - Home and I used stampin up's Flight of the Butterfly along with All Year Cheer II for my stamp sets. I stamped the outline of the butterfly in black and the design in Calypso Coral as well as the HMD sentiment, on the pull out I stamped a sentiment in baja breeze. My MIL is always so complimentary and appreciative of my homemade cards to her so I always try to make some special for her. I hope she likes it.
Sorry I was MIA last week but in Atlanta for training and no stamps, inks or dp with me, EEEKK!! I had to get to work early Monday to play catch from all week last week and did not have time to do the TLC until today. Am I forgiven? I hope so.
