Retiform Autumn Blessings

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE - Color Combo (Crushed curry, dusty Durango, soft suede, & a neutral). Ashley has chosen some perfect colors for us to be inspired by the changing of the seasons all around us. It is good to see the trees finally turning around here in the deep south. If you don't have these SU colors then she says still please free to play along with colors you do have close to these mentioned. I also did not get to do and wanted to try Monday's TECHNIQQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Retiform so I had to try it. Not as difficult as I thought it might be. I trimmed some of my post it notes in various shapes and began with crushed curry rolled then placed my post its and rolled dusty durango, then more post its and a light roll of soft suede on top to sorta give it an aged (distressed) look. My layout is from Sunday's CARD POSITIONING SYSTEMS SKETCH CHALLENGE # 139. Love this sketch. I used dusty durango for my base and a strip of durango on top of my retiform background panel. The sentiment on my focal panel was stamped in soft suede then the leaves inked in crushed curry and rolled in dusty durango then stamped randomly. I punched out 2 different types of leaves from Fiskars punches in crushed curry and sponged the edges with dusty durango then popped them up. The focal panel and matt were cut with Labels 4 Nestie. The nesties and the stamp set used called Autumn Blessings can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS. Hope you like it and come on play along with the THT challenge this week. Last week we had 22 stampers play along with the THT challenge. Ashley would love to see those 22 and more come back this week and play along with the color challenge, just remember to include THT021 in your keyword/tags when uploading to SCS or Paper Craft Planet. Thanks for taking a look and let me know what you think.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Autumn Blessings - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, dusty durango
Ink: crushed curry, dusty durango, soft suede
Accessories: Fiskars leaf punches

It's Your Birthday Old Brawd

This is another one for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. OK ladies I need some help here. I have been talking with Shannon about how to kick up my designs a bit as they seem dull and plain to me. She suggested that I stop trying so hard to combine so many challenges. So this is just one challenge. I colored this darling image from a set I just got from Totally Stampalicious called Old Brawd. I just love this sassy lady. I used copics to color her. I cut the image Out of the Box and matted it on Riding Hood Red cs. I stamped the sentiment in black on kraft cs. I used some Indian Summer dp for the 3 side panels. I layered some primas and added a purple daisy brad to hold them all together and folded a strip of ribbon to place under the primas. So what do you think?
RECIPE:
Stamps: Old Brawd - Totally Stampalicious
Paper: white, black, kraft, Indian Summer
Ink: black
Accessories: copics, primas, ribbon, daisy brad

Waterlily Acceptance

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Krafty Black Melons. I used a set called Waterlilies that I recently purchased from Flourishes for today's FLOURISHES TIMELESS TUESDAY CHALLENGE - Border punches. I used my Fiskars scalloped with holes border punch on the black cs layer. My layout is from today's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE #45. I love this simple yet versatile sketch. I decided to have my focus mostly on a sentiment so it was stamped in cameo coral on white. I then stamped the fish separately in black brilliance, colored with copics, cut them out and placed them around the sentiment. I layerd my oval focal panel with cameo coral using my Marvy Mega oval scallop punch. I used some Kraft pattern paper for the border punch panel and popped all of this up on white cs. I love the contrast of this. Hope you do too.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Waterlilies - Flourishes
Paper: white, black, cameo coral, kraft pp
Ink: cameo coral, black brilliance

Vivi the Elf

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Rachelhope13. I enjoyed browsing through her yummy gallery and finally decided on CASEing her DANCE SAVANNAH CARD. I have never seen this Anya before but I do love it. I just received this adorable Vivi from The Greeting Farms newest release and I love her. She is just tooo cute. So I decided on using her for this weeks OUR CREATIVE CORNER where Lori challenged us this week to be inspired by our fav holiday movie or book. My alltime fav holiday is Christmas and all of the Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen are a must see all year long. I changed the Theme, colors, layout and left off the ribbon, pearls, tags and primas. I used a sheet of cs that I also just received from TGF called Merry Merry, Is it not the cutest? I changed the layout of Rachels card to use this weeks sketch from CARD POSITIONING SYSTEM. I stamped the image in black brilliance then colored with copics E50, E51, G14, RV10, RV23, RV25, Y00 & Y11. I colored the bell with a silver Bic pen. The rim around the top of the hat is covered in glitter glue. It is just soo shiny. I used my Nestie Large Oval for the image panel then embossed it. This is matted on a Fiskars oval that I cut out in Pink Passion. I used a wavy paper trimmer to make the 3 strips in the center. I hope you like it.

CSS Cookie Bake Wiper Card

Good News I am hoping! It looks like my MIL may get to come home today if the skin grafts done yesturday look OK today. She will have to go back next week for them to recheck but I know she would rather be home than stuck up there in that ICU and I am ready for my hubby to fill his side of the bed. Last night I kept moving over further and further trying to feel him over there.

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Always Bravo Cameo for my color combo and made another of Monday's super fun TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Wiper Card just because they are so much fun and so adorable. I love using the little pop up for short messages. The stamp set I used for this is called "COOKIE BAKE" and is from this month's release from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS. I also used a background stamp from a set called "WHEAT" for the 2 thin panels. I stamped my 3 cookies in the 3 different colors from the CC then covered them with stickles. The sentiment is stamped in bravo burgandy on the cameo layer. I love these quick and easy but adorable wiper cards and I love how this one turned out.

Simple Get Well Wishes Wiper Card

Whey I have missed my stamp time. I will be glad when my life returns to normal if it ever does. LOL. I usually do NOT stamp in the evening but am soo missing my dh as he is in August with his Mom so I thought I would knock out some challenges I missed. Jessie's Mom has seizures and for the 2nd time in 2months she has had a seizure while cooking at the stove that resulted in 2nd and 3rd degree burns. This time it was really bad and covered the entire inside of her right arm and the hand as well. After a short time in our ER here she was shipped to Augusta's burn center in ICU. Today they have began debriding and such. He is up there with his Dad.

So this is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Always Bravo Cameo, Monday's TECHNQIUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Wiper Card and my layout is from today's MERCY'S SKETCH CHALLENGE # 44. I love Mercy's sketch for today and knew I wanted to use it somehow. I had also viewed the video Beate did for the wiper card and I am a visual person so that was a great help and thought I would give it a try. Love it. I used my new Quickutz embossing folder I got at HL last Friday called diamonds and dots on the cameo layer. I stamped the open leaf image on my bravo burgandy base from this darling set called Simple Wishes found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS in bravo burgandy ink. I just can NOT stop using this darling flower set. I stamped the vanilla layer with the large flowers in cameo coral and the dotted centers with bravo burgandy after stamping off. Stickles to the centers. The leaves are in always artichoke. The little tag that pops up was stamped with get well wishes in burgandy and the small flower in cameo coral after stamping off. The 4 faux brads on the corners are from my crop-a-dile punch. I love how this turned out but what do you think?

Well there are about 20 people coming to my house this afternoon expecting a wonderful dinner and fellowship. We have 4 birthdays in October and the are all on just 2 days, 16th nad 22nd. Weird right?? Anyway I did not have a lot of time to think and scout out challenges so this is just one challenge and it is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Dancerriley.

I used a set I just bought Friday on my shopping adventure with Shannon from Inkadinkadoo called "Horses" and for my sentiment I used SU It's Your birthday. THT019 CASING Me with Autumn Blessings

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Autum Leaves and for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE 019 - CASEing Neva. Yep, that's right, I am CASEing myself this week. Hey I love a challenge and there is not many I will not do. TeeHee. OK so I love trying to make unique shaped cards and this SUNSHINE SCALLOPS Circle Card was soo much fun I decided to try a pumpkin shaped card when I got my new Nestie Pumpkin dies. I envisioned not taking my folded CS all the way to the top would allow for a fold at the top and it did. YEAH! I used the largest for the base and the next one for the front which was also embossed then I used my birthday present to myself that I bought last week on shopping trip with my darling hubby. I bought an air compressor for my Copic Airbrushing system as I am terrified of the cans. I know stupid right, but a fear of explosion is real to me. So I am not so afraid of my compressor, go figure. Anyway I used some Y11 in the center with the die still in place, then some Y26 around the edges. I placed the leaves punched in kiwi kiss around the sentiment stamped in dusty durango. I love how this turned out and hope you do too. Come on play along with the THT challenge. Ashley and all the DT would love to see what you come up with. Just make sure to include THT019 in your keword.

These are for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Around the World. It has been quite some time since I did any scrapbooking. I found these 2 pictures in my stack from my 1st flight I took alone. I went to Nashville,TN for a convention and while I was there I got to go to the Rhyman Auditorium. Man was that fantastic. Such a memorable visit. The old Grand Ole Opry house, still looks fantastic. I got a window seat and took advantage of my camera and the view. I was amazed the 1st time I flew how much you could see from that high up. There were clouds above, below and some we went straight through. So exciting until we hit some turbulance. LOL. I used a gorgeous set from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS - Diva Airlines. Such a fantastic set for a travel page. Hope you like them.

I missed the challenge on Monday so I included it for the TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Faux Suede on my Mellow Moss base layer and my Kraft circle layer. My layout is from MERCY'S SKETCH CHALLENGE # 43. I finally got to play before going to work today. Yeppee. I used a just released gorgeous flower set from TREEHOUSE STAMPS. I had to add just a bit of barely banana for the flowers bc kraft colored flowers would look sorta dead. YUK! sorry Emily. I stamped the solid leaf image in mellow moss then the outline leaf image in white craft. I also stamped the smaller leaf image in just craft white but it sorta got hide by my top panel which is popped up. Did you know that soft sueded stamped off then stamped looks really close to Kraft? CSS Take The Challenge - Get Punchy

Well it is the 1st Tuesday of the month and that means a new TAKE THE CHALLENGE presented by CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS BLOG. This month's challenge is to get PUNCHY. And these darling Trick Or Treat Baskets are just too fun and easy to make more. I used my square and circle punches for the jack-o-lanter face. I also used a TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - 5 Layer Buttons. I love making these darling buttons. I punched 10 pumpkins in a dark orange cs glued 5 of them together, punched holes with the crop-a-dile then covered the top layer with crystal effects. After they dried I tied them to the basket handles and basket. Aren't they darling?

With 7 grandchildren I need a lot of treat baskets to make them all happy. LOL. I decided to make another one. Whoo Hoo these sure are fun. Come on try one... For this one I used my Stampin Up Designer Label Punch to make the tag. I also punched a hole for the split ring and for the brad holes with my cropadile punch. I randomly stamped the 4 different jack-o-lanter faces in black on the orange textured cs. This time I used the same paper for the basket, handle and circle bottoms.
Also this time I shredded some green paper for my confetti for the inside of the basket. I tied some black gingham ribbon around the top and used some green brads to hold the handle to the basket.

And what trick or treat basket would be complete without some yummy candy?

Here is my 2nd sample for this fun challenge. I decided to use my Martha Stewart Witch and Cauldron paper punch and my Nestability Label Seven that to me looks like a book so I made the inside of a Witches Brew Recipe book. I used Bewitched Stamp Set from Clear and Simple Stamps recent release. On the cauldron I added some Polymark Green Irradescent Fabric Paint bc a witches brew should be green right? I love these new fall/halloween sets from CSS and hope you do too. Would you like to play along? Make something using any type of punches and include TTC10 in your keyword on SCS or tag in Paper Craft Planet. Come on and play along, we would love to see what you come up with. I Need Stamp Therapy!!

I am going to be in withdrawals for almost and entire month due to work. I will be stamping and posted every chance I get but it will be now and then rather than daily as usual. I have training all month for our Resp and Nursing Staff from 7am to 7pm ever day, even some Sat. Got fit them in somehow. If you miss me just know that you don't miss me 1/2 as much as I miss my morning ritual of stamping, loading, then drooling over everyone else's creations.
Have a great week everyone.

I stamped the daisies in crushed curry, the centers and sentiment with close to cocoa and the leaves & stems with old olive. My focal image is matted on crushed curry then black cs. I wanted to do an entire front but my spiral punch did not line up with this one,,gggrrrr. Oh well, I still liked how this turned out and hope you do too. TEMPLATE: Trick-or-Treat Basket

This months set just called to Sue for a trick or treat basket and it is just adorable. Not only adorable but easy to put together. I made mine for one of my lucky grandchildren. With the world as it is my daughters do not take their kids door to door for trick or treat. Come on and get your supplies together and make some of these baskets. I love them and hope you do too.
Here is a view of my basket after I finished it. I used some pumpkin pie for the handle and black for the bottom. For the basket I used some Stampin' UP Ghostly Greetings dp. I punched some Martha Stewart spiders and placed them randomly. Here is a view of my basket filled with my handmade confetti. I shredded some orange paper, crumbled it up then filled my basket with it.

Here is a view of my basket from the side.

And finally here is a front view of my basket filled with some goodies. I really hope you like it and will print the template out and make one yourself..
