All Dressed Up and Dirty

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 23 - Side Swiped. This is also for today's DIGI DOODLE'S SHOP BEST CHALLENGE # 18 - Punch or Cut. I always use my paper cutter and punches so today I challenged myself to not use them. I did all of my cutting by hand. I used a brand new to me digital image from Digi Doodles as my focal image. I just think she is adorable. I used to love it when my girls played "dress up". She was added to a digital image of a hardwood floor from Michelle Barrnet. I used GIMP to manipulate my images. My layout is from Tuesday's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 84. Well I wanted to do ALL of the "DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGES" but knew I would not be able to so I am adding a few in this like using my new stuff; movies; TV and a dinner; glitter; girls; texture; pattern mixes; flowers, feminine and flirty just to name a few. OK so feminine and flirty is definately Blanch from Golden Girls and can't you just see her as a little girl dressing up like this? LOL. I hope you are a fan club member and have been playing along as well.
RECIPE:
Stamps: digi Doodles - All Dresed Up; Michelle Barnet''s digital Hardwood floor
Paper: DCWV dp, white, red, pink, green
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Textile folder, stickles, copics, scissors

Polka Dotted Polka Dot Tea Time

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 060 - Polka Dots. Yaneri choose this fun challenge for this week and I was more than willing to play along even though it is her last week with Treehouse. As time change and obligations of a learning nature have taken all of her spare time she must also change with them. We are certainly going to miss her fabulous creative inspirations. For todays challenge I used Polka Tea time and Tea Time were the digital sets from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE that I just knew I had to use. I have been using up some DCWV Summer Glitter matt pack. I just had to use it with this challenge and these images. My images were colored with copics E40, RV17, RV19, Y23, Y26, Y35 and YG03. My focal image was colored then cut and embossed using the "out of the box" technique with Nesties circles then matted on some melon mambo cs cut and embossed with Labels 3. I cut the tea cup out then hung it on the tea pot spout. The tea bag tag was cut out and adhered to the lid of the tea pott. I ran the crushed curry cs through the cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder and joined the dp with some melon mambo polka dotted ribbon. The focal panel, cup and tag are up on dimensionals. Now it is your turn, be sure to include THT060 when you upload at SCS. Also be sure to provide a link from your post on the TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE POST # 060 so you can be entered in the Random.org drawing for a free $5 Digital set.

Autumn Leaves Sneak Peek

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 291. I used a color combo from GINGERSNAP CREATIONS CHALLENGE # 64 - Color Combo (yellow, orange, & red). What a perfect color combo for the changing colors of Autumn. I love that season, it is still warm in the day and cool evenings. I also LOVE the colors of that season. I tried to capture the turning colors of leaves in my dp I created from a leaf image and the leaves on the tree. Trees and grass are still green so sorry I had to add a little of that color but my primary colors are yellow, orange and red. I used my copics to color and added some yellow and orange ribbon and bows. These images are digital images and will be released Aug 4th from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. This set is called "Autumn Leaves" so be on the look out for it as well as "HALLOWEEN EXTRAS", "SWEETEST FLOWERS", Some Spooky Kids, and "BEARY THANKFUL". My setiment and top fo the tree are popped up on dimensionals and I added some stickles here and there for sparkle. Hope you like it.

Tuscany Fruit Stand

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 281 - Crushed Daffodil Pizzazz. EEEKK! I do love these colors together but my SU order is not here yet again another week of new colors and I don't have them yet. I almost let this one slide past without doing it but my dd (e3stamper aka Shannon) was asked to sample with Betty this week and would NOT let me out of it. LOL. So I took her advice and got my BV17 copic marker top and went searching for matching dp when a light bulb went on in my head. I still have some dp from yrs ago when we bought a stack of "Tuscany". shh don't tell Shannon I still have some, she likes to borrow stuff that I tend to hoard. LOL. Anyway I found some dark purple cs from some Michaels stack and used as my base. My strip across the middle is so saffron embossed on the negative side with so saffron ink on Argyle embossing folder which is TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 160 - Cuttlebug - The Negative Effect. I love using this and need to do it more often. I used some ribbon that I hope is a close match to pear pizzazz and topped it off with purple hemp tied through a yellow button. My image is from Stampin' Up's "Fruit Stand" set that I just love. These grapes are so yummy. My image was colored with copics BV11, BV13, BV17, Y21, Y23, YG01, YG11, & YG21. I sponged so saffron around the inside of Nestie Label 4 while it was still in place. My layout is from Monday's SKETCH AND STASH CHALLENGE # 40. I love simple sketches so this was just what I needed. I hope to have the correct colors next week. Everyone have a fantastic "HOT" summer day.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Fruit Stand - SU
Paper: white, dark purple, so saffron, Tuscany dp

Birthday Unicorn T-Slider for Madison

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 283 - T-Slider Card. What a fun technique this is Holly and Lisa WOW you are awesome for this tutorial. For my focal image I used a digital image I have had printed for evah from The Greeting Farm. I love this unicorn. I left the unicorn mostly white just because I think it looks better that way so I sponged around the Nesties Label 12 with cool carribean. I colored the other images, horn and made few strokes in the hair with copic markers and I am so sorry I forgot to write them down but I used coordinating colors with this DCWV dp. I used some bright lime cs for my pull and focal matt bc there really is dots with that color they just ended up getting covered up :-(

Anyway for the hidden message I stamped a sentiment from Small Sayings in cool carribean. I think I will give this to Madison although I have already given her a card when we had hers and Braydens birthday party her actual birthday is in August so I still want to give her something. I think she will like this. She loves all of those Pet Shop Pets, Unicorns, etc.
Off to work since we did not get to stay at the beach. Oh well there is always another day, right. See ya in the challenges tomorrow.

Paper: pink, lime, white, DCWV dp

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 181 - Ravengirl. What a lovely CAS gallery she has too. I decided on CASEing her BABY FLOYD card. I love the double embossing technique and have tried it a couple of times so I thought I would give it another try. This was TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 245. Maybe one day I will get it right :-( Anyway I changed the theme, the colors, left off the brads and added another embossed layer. I love the color of guava/peach since it was the color I used in my wedding.

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 22 - Cool Summers and Warm Winters. Well as you can tell I went with cool summers and I wish we had such a thing around here, whey I can not take much more of triple digit temps.
Anyway when I saw Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 280 - Let's Move It how could I resist combining it with Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 282 - Tilt Cards? Tell me how could I, me who loves to combine. LOL. Here is a close up of the roses at a tilt. Anyhow, this is also for a couple of this weeks DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGES presented by CINDY_HAFFNER and GBEDWRIGHT. Watercolored Sea Babies Mail Box

This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 059 - Watercolor. This week Gloria choose a fun technique of watercoloring for the challenge. I can not remember the last time I used watercoloring to color. I had a blast making this. I was in the mood to make something other than a card so I looked over at my mounds of supplies on my unloved shelve and spyed this mini mail box. Well you should have smelt the rubber buring in my head. Ideas were going everywhere. I guess I should have put corks in my ears so that the ideas would not escape before I could use them. LOL. I decided not to use any dp to alter the outside since I liked the color that it already was. I used some craft cs punched with my beach border punch. My images are digital and they are from "Sea Babies" that was released this month and "Fun in the Sun" that was released a couple of months ago. Both sets are digital sets and can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE.
Here is a side view of the crab from "Sea Babies" . I put some google eyes on him. He is so cute.
So come on and play along with us. Be sure to use THT059 in your keywords when you upload to Splitcoast Stamper and also be sure to provide us with a link over at the TREEHOUSE STAMPS CHALLNGE BLOG POST so you can be entered in the Random.org drawing for the weekly free $5 digi set. We would love to see what you come up with.

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 290. This is also for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 280 - Rose Olive Parfaits, FLOURISHES TIMELESS TUESDAY CHALLENGE # 76 - Inspiration and a couple of the DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGES presented by GBEDWRIGHT and NOTIMETOSTAMP that I had not played along with yet. My images were stamped 3 times in Momento Tuxedo then colored with copics R81, R83, R85, YG93, YG85, YR0, YR01, & YR02. I cut out one of the images removing the leaves and top layered peach. She's All That and Dirty

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 280 - Rose Olive Parfaits. I used Sunday's KENNY K'S KRAFTY GIRLZ CHALLENGE # 2 - Sketch for my layout. Such a fun sketch to play with. I was over at Shannon's Sunday having some serious play time after a day of shopping and she had this image printed so I colored her up. I did some paper piecing on her cap and pants using some dp from MME Tango matt pack. I do not yet have peach parfait so from Betty's advice I sponged some apricot appeal and sponged with some pumpkin pie ink to make peach parfait. I can not wait for my order to get here. I punched the edges with a fishars border punch on the top and bottom, layered that with some dp and tied a ribbon around it. My image was trimmed & embossed with Nesties large oval scallop. This is also for some of the DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGES presented by DEBORAHLYNNES, SUZANNEJDEAN, and GBEDWRIGHT. This girl so reminds me of the girl on the movie "'SHE'S ALL THAT". I think it is the hat bc she wore something like that when she painted. I colored with copics E11, E13, E15, E17, E19, E50, E51, E53, R81, R83, R85, YG93, & YG95. Hope you like it.

DTGD 5 Times with Nurse Nora

This is for all 5 DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGES for Monday presented by SUSAN, BETTY, DENISE, DAWN B, and JEANNE. I just bought a new Martha Stewart border punch and used it tonight on the ruby red strip. I have had this digi stamp and just waiting for the right time to use it. My image was printed on white, colored with copics
E50, E51, E53, G24, G28, R01, R24, Y000, Y00, Y13, Y15, YR24. N1, N3, N5, & N7. I also just bought a large dobber and some Antique Linen ink that I sponged around my main image and my white base to tone down the white so that it matched my DCWV dp. Our hospital where I work used maroon and hunter green for our uniform colors so this will be perfect to give to a fellow co-worker when needed. I am so glad I finally bought that antique linen ink. I love how that looks. Hope you do too and I hope you are a fan club member so you can play along with these challenges. They are addicting and fun.
After I looked back at this and the challenges this morning I realized I left off the strip of gingham ribbon I had laid to the side to go over my ruby red panel. That is what I get for loading this in the middle of the morning. LOL,
RECIPE:
Stamps: Nurse Nora - CC Designs
Paper: white, DCWV dp Summer Fun

Tilting Scarlet's Ball Gown

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 282 - Tilt. OMGosh Holly, I have been thinking about trying this and this was just the nudge I needed. Being a new technique to me I had to limit my brain to just this one challenge :-(

So anyway I was looking at challenges the other day and found a big problem. I found Digi Doodles store and in it I found the most adorable digital images and you know the rest of the story right? YEP, had to have them. This is just one of the darling images and it is called "GONE WITH THE WIND". Well yall know my husband and I are re-enactors of the civil war period and when we are at a battle and camping we stay in 1860's period style clothing. 9 layers of clothing can get pretty warm let me tell you so I wear my hoop as much as I can bc I use it as a fan. That got my brain thinking on this challenge and this is what I came up with.

I cut just the bottom part of the ball gown out and have it tilting back and forth just like they do when we walk or dance. SO KEWL huh? My image was colored with copics

B32, B34, B37, E50, E51, E53, G24, R14, R30, N1, N3, N5, & N7. I just had to use some new dp I got on an outing with Shannon Sunday from DCWV called "AT HOME". Love this dp stack. I paired the dp up with Not Quite Navy, seamed them with ribbon and topped the ribbon off with a bow. I heated the ends of the ribbon to make them twist. My focal image and matt were cut and embossed with Nesties Oval and Scalloped Oval. Hope you like it. I just know one of the ladies that we hang around in camp is going to love this fun card.

RECIPE:
Stamps: Gone With The Wind - Digi Doodles
Paper: white, not quite navy, DCWV dp
Accessories: copics, dimensionals, pennies, ribbon, Nesties Oval, Nesties Scallop Ovals
Techniques: Tilt Card

DTGD Dirty Holidays

This is for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 279 - Wild Cherry Mist. I promise this is the last one for this color combo but I just love it. This would also make a great Christmas card with these colors. Anyway if you know me this is not just for the color challenge. Yep I did 4 of the DARE TO GET DIRTY CHALLENGES in this one: AMBERDAWN, SHARON, CAROLINA'S, and BEV'S all challenges are from Saturday's and today's challenge list. Whoo Hoo. My sentiment is from SU's set "ALL HOLIDAYS" and it is why I bought this set. It so reminds me of the 'GOLDEN GIRLS". There were all such great friends even though they had some ups and downs. My mom used to just crack up at Sophie. Now if you are not a fan club member - what are YOU waiting for? These challenges are awesome. I am having a blast and can not wait to see what tomorrow brings. I will be at work but might be able to stamp something when I get home before cooking starts.
RECIPE:
Stamps: All Holidays
Paper: red glitter, wild wasabi, cranberry crisp
Ink: Momento Rhubarb Stalk, Spica Glitter pen
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Diamonds & dots, Nesties Deckled, ribbon, stickles, gems

Dirty CASE of Embrace Life

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 180 - 1busymomof2 (aka Latisha Yoast). WOW what an amazing gallery and it is new to me so I had lots of fun browsing through it. I found my inspiration for this card from her BEST WISHES beauty. I changed the layout somewhat to use Saturday's PAPER CRAFT PLANET SKETCH presented by Adela. I changed the embossing folder and layer that was embossed by embossing my middle panel with Victoria. I left off the brad and used ribbon as an embellishment. I used a digital set called "EMBRACE LIFE" from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. I used GIMP to manipulate my image adding 3 very close together then a single rose and stem by itself for popping up. My images were colored with copics B32, R39, R59, R89, G21 & G24. My base is white and my layers are matted on wild wasabi and cranberry crisp for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 279 - Wild Cherry Mist. I just love these colors together. I topped my roses off with some stickles and stamped the sentiment in cranberry crisp. Hope you like it.

As soon as I got this finished and loaded the DARE TO GET DIRTY Challenges started loading as well and guess what, I have 2 of them covered in this. WOW I love it when that happens so this is also for DTGD10CraftyCaro Challenge from Carolina and DTGD10AmberDawn01 Challenge from Amber. If you are not a member of the Splitcoast Stampers Fan Club what are you waiting on. You can read about it HERE. Embossed on Embossed Strawberries For You

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 279 - Wild Cherry Mist sounds like a cool refreshing drink but turned into near heart failure. This is the 1st time in yrs I have NOT had the colors for the CC and I **gasp** when I saw todays color combo. What to do? So I somewhat CASED Betty's berries from her sample for today by using Flourish's "STRAWBERRIES" set that I just love. I stamped in versamark then heat embossed with black ep. I colored my image and used the blue color for shading around and about my image. Back To School by Neva McMullen

For this weeks challenge I chose to use BACK TO SCHOOL set. Makayla will be starting 4yr old pre-k and so I made this for her. I hope she will like it. I, unlike others used to love the ride the bus. That was were I meet some really fun neighbors to play with. At school kids lived everywhere but on the bus they usually lived somewhere around me. I used MONDAY MOJO 145 for my layout.

I finally had a chance to look at today's challenge on SCS and guess what? It fits what I made. I love it when that happens. So this is also for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 278 - Yellow Sunshine. I think I have the color of yellow covered here don't you?

Sweet-n-Sassy Heart Princess

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 278 - Baja, Razzleberry Saffrons. I used Monday's MOJO MONDAY # 146 Sketcch for my layout. I made a flower using paper for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 280 -Paper Posies since I did not do it right on Monady I needed to make another one just so I stay out of jail and in the good graces of the ones who allow me to play in the daily challenges. I could not function every day without them. I used a sweet digital image that I just had to have, being a Southern Belle myself, from Sweet and Sassy called Heart Princess. She was cut with Nesties scalloped oval and colored with copics BG10, BG72, BG75, E30,E31, E34, E35, E37, E9, E93, V05, V06, Y21, Y23, & YR20. I did scoring on the so saffron panel to make a grid. My dp is from Basic Gray but it is so old I can not remember what the name is. Sorry but it was a perfect match. Hope you have a fabulous day, I am off to work.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Heart Princes - SNS
Paper: whtie, rich razzleberry, so saffron, Basic Gray dp
Accessories: gold heart brad, ribbon dimensionals

Wedding Daisies

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 280 - Paper Posies. This is also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 74 - Celebrating Carries Cakes. Oh man those wedding cakes are just gorgeous. So when I saw these 2 challenges I knew I had to CASE another one of Charlene's CAS beauties that I had in my list of "which one to use" from Sunday's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE # 179 - cookiebaker. There were many who used this WONDERFUL FRIEND and now I am added to that list. LOL. When I first saw it Sunday I knew if I used that card I would make a wedding card. It took me longer to make it up to my crafty cave then it did to make this. I used some textured white cs for my 4x4 base. I embossed some white cs with cuttlebugs swiss dots. I cut and embossed Labels 3 using white cs. Secured some sheer white with delicate design and gold trimmed ribbon around the swiss dots and labels 3 layers. I used a gold heart brad to secure 5 layers of white daisies that I did not punch but someone did punch out of rough textured paper of some kind and secrured it to the labels 3 layer. The labels 3 layer is popped up on dimensionals. Inside is "BEST WISHES" embossed in gold ep and I was done. I love how it turned out and I hope you do to.
Paper: white, white textured
Accessories: gold heart brad, ribbon, dimensionals, gold embossing powder
Techniques: dry and heat embossed

Art Sneak Peek

Happy Monday everyone. I everyone had a fabulous & safe July 4th celebration. I just wanted to give you another sneak peek of a new digital set called "ART" that will be released on Wednesday, July 7th from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. It is just adorable. I used GIMP to add the little girl image & the paint palette inside the front portion of the book. I printed the book and 2 paint brushes and colored with copics. I cut out the paint brushed and adhered them to the palette.
I used the colors in the dp for my color combo. I found some wide ribbon that I thought matched the dp as well and tied a pretty bow (or so I think it is). I hope you like it and don't forget to check back Wednesday for the new releases.
We will be having a blog hop to help celebrate the release and you don't want to miss out on that.

Happy Stampin'

Happy July 4th

Happy July 4th to all. This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 178 - Charlene the Cookiebaker. I choose to CASE Charlene's WE LOVE OUR TROUPS. This is also for Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 239 - Oompa. I found my inspiration in the colors in this darling CIRCUS BEDDING. I used some dp from DCWV Summer matt pack. I used the same type of dp on the top but a lighter color. I used some red ribbon with stars instead of zigzag stitching and left off the large stars and USA. I used a square focal panel rather than a round one. I also used some gold star brads intead of colored ones for Friday's FREE FOR ALL # 19 - Gold Star. For my focal panel I used a digital set from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE called "Stars & Stripes. I colored my image with copics B41, B54, R21, R24, R27, R29, & Y26. I trimmed the bottom edge of my focal image, matt, base and dp at the bottom. Shannon will be so proud of me because I also decorated the inside with a strip of dp from the outside. We went searching for a sketch that we both wanted to do. Choose our dp, image, etc and started working. When I finished this I was not overly happy with it, but this morning when I looked at it again I am loving it. I used DCWV Summer Fun glitter dp, garden green, crushed curry and melon mambo cs. I did some paper piercing. Cut and embossed my focal image with Nesties Label 5. My images are from a digital set that will be released next Wednesday at midnight from TREEHOUSE STAMPS and were colored with copics. Pre-4th July Picnic

Ok so Jessie has to work this weekend and chillin' and grillin' on the 4th just was not in the cards for our family so we had to do ours on Friday and did we have a blast. My girls and their families came over and got in the pool despite the fact that the water was 83 degrees, brrr. Jessie just laughed and said he would pass. LOL.
He was busy watching the electric smoker cook 2 racks of pork ribs. I made some cole slaw, cooked some mac and cheese and backed beans and garlic toast. YUMMY Yum Yum. Was it ever good.

No visit to Nana and Papa's would be complete without a trip to the pond so off they all went while Michele rested while watching Jaylen run around the house and Shannon and I played for a short time with some new copics I just got in.

Danny was stunned when he pulled this 13 1/2 pound catfish out on the bank while Jessie was performing surgery on Madison who had got a splinter and you know how dramatic drama diva's can be. LOL.

After the photo shoot Jessie carved this fat cat up and made some catfish nuggets for them to take home and fry up.

A good time was enjoyed by all.
