This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE , combined with Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Glitter Surprise. This gorgeous Poinsetta image and sentiment is from the new release set from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY and it is called Christmas Favorites. I have been saying I "am not ready to start Christmas Cards" but the color challenges and these new sets are changing my mind. I used the holly and berry stamp from Backgroung Basics for my Always Artichoke background layer. The poinsetta is stamped on white in artichoke then in going gray on white. both images were colored with prismacolor pencils then blended w/gamsol. I cut the center portion of the image out and popped it up. I applied stickles to the center and around the edges of the popped up portion. I tied some green hemp to the sentiment through the red eyelet and popped the sentiment layer up.RECIPE:
