This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 379 - Distressed Edges. I used my SU Edge distressor and Ranger Antique Photo Distress Ink on the dp panels.
This is also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 172 - Theme of Love. I quickly grabbed my stack of The Paper Studio Love Stack. I distressed the edges of the poppy parade matts and the dp as well.
My layout is from CLEAN & SIMPLE FTL CHALLENGE # 192 which was just perfect for what I needed.
I punched the hearts from my Maurvy Heart Layers Mega and Giga sizes and distressed the edges on them also.
I hope to get to play in the morning but if not this is it for me until next Monday. Headed to a medical conference in Orlando for the week.
RECIPE:
Stamps: none
Paper: vanilla, poppy parade, TPS Love dp

Green Folage
This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 376 - It's Not Easy Being Green.
My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 386.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 376 - Farewell Blushing Peach Crush Pizzazz Parade. I used all of the colors except concord crush.
This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 378 - Brayered Paper Elements.
I am not sure I am happy with how this turned out but it is what it is. I cut and embossed the leaf from Spellbinders Folage die set using white cs then brayered peach parfait followed by sponging pear pizzazz. This was popped up on dimensionals on the focal panel. My dp is from The Paper Studio Persnickety stack. Sadly enough this will wrap up my stamping for this week as tomorrow will be an early day on the water with my dh and grands here Sat and Sun so it will be Monday before I can have any more therapy :( I will need prayers to make it that long.
RECIPE:
Paper: white, pear pizzazz, TPS Persnickety dp
Ink: pear pizzazz, peach parfait
Accessories: cuttlebug, spellbinders, folage, dimensionals, circle punch
Techniques: brayered paper elements, dry embossing

Fish Til Dark
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 386.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 386 - Farewell Blushing Peach Crush Pizzazz Parade. I used them all. Whoo Hoo
My pear pizzazz panel was dry embossed with my cuttlebug and The Paper Studio's Leaves Embossing Folder then I used my brayer to apply pear pizzazz ink to just the raised sections for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 378 - Brayered Paper Elements. Me and the brayer do NOT get along but I do like how that panel turned out after tossing 2 other attempts at a brayered skyline to stamp my image onto. ggrrrrr. One day I am going to find a class to teach me how to do that.
I sponged blushing bride ink all over then used a mask at the tree line to sponge peach parfait and poppy parade. I used a reverse mask to sponge the inside of a punched out circle for my fading sunset. The images were stamped in concord crush. My dp is so old I have no idea where I got it but it looked a lot like peach with some poppy sprayed on it so I used it. My base & matt for my focal image panel is concord crush.
I made this for my darling hubby who DOES and will continue to fish until dark 30.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Landscape, boat
Paper: white, concord crush, pear pizzazz, dp?
Ink: concord crush, pear pizzazz, peach parfait, blushing bride, poppy parade
Accessories: circle punch, sponges, brayer, stickles
Techniques: masking, reverse masking, brayered paper elements

Congrats w/Build A Flower
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 276 - Farewell to Blushing Peach Crush Pizzazz Parade. So sad to see color go, I am going to miss them all.
This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 378 - Brayered Paper Elements and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 171 - Sketch by Tilly. Today I used my new "Build A Flower" die set from Cheery Lynn again but joined the pieces with some baker's twine which I found a little easier then a huge brad that tore to holes open, grrrr.
I cut the flower petals in white then brayer blushing bride and poppy parade less than half way up the petals then traced around the edges with poppy parade marker. I added some stickles to the center. My sentiment is from Stampin Up's Congrats set and stamped in concord crush. I think peach was the only color I could not find a way to use.
Off to work and praying for a better day than the last one.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Congrats
Paper: whtie, pear pizzazz, poppy parade
Ink: poppy parade, blushing bride, concord crush
Accessories: dimensionals, stickles, CL Build A Flower die, baker's twine

I just got this "BUILD A FLOWER" die set from Cheery Lynn Designs and could not wait to use it but obviously it will take more practice. Not sure I am happy with how it turned out. He makes it look soooo easy on the video.

I print out this darling digi image, Outlined Mushroom, from The Paper Shelter eons ago when I first found it with the intention of making Shannon a card since me and my kids all love the smurfs. Well today I finally accomplished that goal. I hope she will LOVE it. I think it turned out cute. I computer generated the sentiment before printing. I colored with copics. I used my new layered Fiskars butterfly punch with all 3 colors from the Color Challenge.

Thoughts of Father
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 385, Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 375 - Night of Orange Blues, sorry Vicki with the flowers I had to add just a hint of green but kept it really light; and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 377 - Dry Debossing. I finally used one of my Paper Trey Ink embossing plates since I was so afraid of them. I ran some bashful blue through my cuttlebug with the Grid plate to match up with my dp choice from The Paper Studio "Yee Haw" stack then brushed the top with night of navy. I like how that turned out but not so sure it really coordinates with the dp???? Oh Well my dh is not so fussy that he will not want this Father's Day card. He is quite the gardner this year. We have corn, squash, okra, tomatoes, peas and sunflowers sprouting up everywhere. I hope he will like this next month when I give it to him.
Now off to work.

Paper: white, night of navy, bashful blue, pumpkin pie

Nature Silhouettes
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 375 - Night of Orange Blues.
My layout is from Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 241. I changed the circle to a square.
Panel 2 is for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 377 - Dry Debossing where this time I used my Argyle embossing folder and then inked the raised portion with night of navy ink pad.
I used my copic ABS and markers to air brush some blue and orange skylines then stamped the images in night of navy.
I do not remember where the sentiment is from but it is also stamped in NON on white. I used a button since this is a Father's Day card rather than a flower.
Hope you like it and this will be my son-in-law's FD card so I hope he likes it.

Chic Nurse
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVER CHALLENGE # 376 - Paper Piecing and Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 169 - It's Time for Chic.
I am playing catch up so this is also for Friday's QUEEN FOR THE DAY CHALLENGE # 111 - gbedwright where I CASED Betty's CONGRATS, THE BEST IS YET TO COMEcard. I love the way she does her bows and will NEVER even get close to a great CASE when it comes to her talented gallery but at least give me an "A" for effort.
My layout is from Saturday's SWEET STOP SKETCH CHALLENGE # 157 which was a perfect layout for the card I choose from Betty's gallery. I love it when a plan comes together.
As for Chic, there is nothing like those cheeky gals from The greeting farm. I love this nurse and paper pieced her uniform and stockings. They are 2 shades of pink just alike. I made a 4x4 card which is unusual for me. I stamped the sentiment on a light pink cs. I am not sure I would let this cutie pie play nurse with my darling hubby but she is adorable isn't she?
Hope you like it now off to work. I am wishing I was back at the beach.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Nurse Anya, What Anya Says - TGF
Paper: red, white, Martha Stewart Holiday dp
Ink: momento tuxedo black, Momento Lady Bug Red
Accessories: ribbon, button, bakers twine, dimensionals, Nesties circle
Techniques: Out of the Nestie, 3d, copic coloring

Distressed and headed to the Beach
Well as luck would have it I got home Thursday evening only to find a HOT HOUSE. Jessie called the AC man when he got home and the result were in. Friday morning revealed a dead unit needing to be replaced. I truely believe it is hotter than when I was a kid living in an apartment with window fans and happy to be alive.
Anyway we were not going to be cheated out of our beach trip we had planned all week long. So we went anyway. Jessie & I arrived around 4:30 and Shannon, Michele and 4 of the grands around 6pm. Dinner at Golden Coral and then chillin' in the room.
Papa had to give the grands a lesson on the eco system and marine life. LOL.
We spent the day at the beach Saturday and a picnic lunch followed by an afternoon in the pool and a schrumcious dinner at Pouncy's and then THE ADVENGERS movie. Below is a picture of Papa leading the 3 grands out to play a dirty trick on them. Just about the time they got knee deep he turned around and yelled "hurry get out of the water". All we saw was eyes and open mouths running as hard as they could. I think they walked on the water actually. LOL. Mean ole' Papa.
Jaylen was NOT a fan of the ocean 3 yrs ago and that did not seem to change much this time either. He told his Papa "I will get in with you for 1 minute". Jessie said even without a watch it seemed like about 1 minute and Jaylen let go of his hand and said "OK, that's it, I am outta here". LOL. He was tooo funny. This picture is showing as far as he would go in the water.

Distressed & Kissed North Woods Silhouette
This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 373 - Don't Stres - Distress; Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 383; Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 373 - Wild Pumpkin Bash; and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 375 - Kissing. Today I choose a set from Marks Finest Papers called North Woods Silhouette. I inked the image in bashful blue then kissed it with the mini border image inked in wild wasabi. I used my edge distresser on the focal panel and bashful blue matt. I just got a box full of new toys and could not wait to use them so today I did. I used the paw border punch and my Martha Stewart Button punch. Love both of them.
Now this is it for me this week. We are heading to the Gulf to fish Friday and the girls are meeting us Friday night at the hotel where we will stay until they kick us out Sunday, LOL. Have a great weekend my crafty cyber buddies. MWAH!!
