Count You Blessings CASEing

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE - StampingQueenJAR and what a jar of joy it is to feature Judy today. She is an awesome stamper. I chose her REFUGE Card to CASE. I changed the colors, used a different stamp set but stayed with the theme and added a layer to my popped up focal image. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pink Chocolate Kiwis. The set I chose to use is from last months release from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. It is such a lovely Easter and Spiritual set. I stamped the cross in kiwi kiss then stamped the sentiment in choc chip on top of the cross. The swirls around the edges are stamped in pink passion. Hope you like it.

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - On Your Mark.get set.... It took me longer to upload this cutie than it did to make it. LOL. After a 12hr day in ICU again yesturday I needed a quick and easy challenge and this was perfect. The best thing about yesturday was I had happy mail when I got home. A bag full of new rubbah from HIGH HOPES STAMP COMPANY. YEH! my order came. I spent this morning cutting and painting so when I finished I just had to get something new dirty. LOL. This Easter Basket is so cute and I knew it would make not only a quick but a cute card. I used my Marvy square scallop punches for layers and some SU ribbon my dd shared with me. I applied stickles to the eggs. I really like how this turned out. HOpe you do to.

Miracle From Above

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE combined with Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pink Chocolate Kiwi but I used Old Olive since my stack of kiwi is depleting and some dark brown I have since my Choc Chip is getting low until I can place an order. I have a couple of dear friends who have recently discovered the addition of a new family member to their households and this is for one of them. I am still working on one for the other friend. I used a set from H & M STAMP COMPANY called Miracle From Above which was 1 of my all time fav sets to get to play with while on their design team. I just love these adorable images. I paper pieced Mom's shirt and colored the rest of the image with my severly neglected prismacolor pencils. I have dust collecting on them since I have started using Copic markers :0 and they were in need of some luvin' today. The dp is from MME Tango Expressions pack. Hope you like it.

Crimped Cupcake Sprinkles Envelope Card

I had to work 11pm-7am after 2 hrs sleep again last night and working all day. I probably should not have stamped today but I did so this is for COLOR CHALLENGE - Pink Chocolate Kiwi and I made another for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Crimped Envelope Pocket Card. I saw some samples in the gallery Monday and was so inspired to try my hand at it cutting the center out. I used some clear acetate over the opening. I used my brand new Close To My Heart set called Cupcake Sprinkles. I decided to not sponge the edges of the outside or inside tday. I just am not at all happy with this today but I made it so I loaded it.

Count Your Blessings Crimped Envelope Pocket Card

I think I hurt my tiny brain yesturday when I packed 6 challenges together so I am taking a break today with just 1 really fun and much needed challenge LOL. It has been awhile since I did one of these. Thanks Lynn. This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Crimped Envelope Pocket Card. I used a set recently released from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY called Count Your Blessings. My envelope was stamped with regal rose then sponged with old olive. I stamped the cross with pale plum then used rock and roll to pick up some perfect plum and still sponged some perfect plum along the sides after cutting it out. I draped some purple satin ribbon around the cross and popped it up. The sentiment is stamped with both plums and R&R as well. The insert is stamped in regal rose and perfect plum then sponged with perfect plum. I made this for my youngest daughter who so desparetly needs to return to her spiritual upbringing. I was a single mom during both my girls teens and did the best I could but sometimes I feel like I failed them mirerably by note trying to find a good christian man to help me raise them. You know when you get burned real bad you just tend to stay out of the fire. 11 1/2 yrs is all it too me and by then they were both almost grown. Oh well just help me pray for her that she will once again find the GOD of all peace.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Count Your Blessings, Treehouse Stamps
Paper: Envelope, white, perfect plum
Ink: perfect plum, pale plum, old olive, regal rose

Eastern Blooms

I think Jessie is on the mend and we may try to go out to eat today since I am sure he is tired of my cooking. I do not like to cook that well. He is supposed to be able to return to work tomorrow so we are going to get out and move around to help rebuild the strength he will need for a 12 hr shitf. Thank goodness he only works 1 day then off 2 before he returns to his normal schedule. So happy for today's spotlight on someone I actually know. Congrats Kelly ! Yeah for you gal. Enjoy your day in the spotlight. I made this using all of this weeks challenges except Monday's. Sorry Lynn but not way to create your own background from 1 stamp set using rubberbands. So this is for:Today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE - Kelly H. I CASED her ANOTHER WILD ONE card changing the layout, colors, replaced ribbon for brads in the flower centers.Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Room Service Home where I found my inspiration today from these CHERRY BLOSSOM PILLOWS to make my own background for Friday's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Designer Series Paper. Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Frugal Finds well I could use this every day but today I realized another way that I trim costs. This set was given to me by Stampin Up company for participating in their survey. FREE RUBBAH! also I have never purchased any diminsionals as I mentioned in Thursday's post and so I am running low on a stack I got at a stamping retreat last year. So you know that sections between the dots, welll it works just as good as the dots themselves and I have been using it when I can, today was a can day. TeeHee.Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE gave me my layout and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Summer Kiwi Pies yeilded my color combo since I am just lovin' these colors.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Eastern Blooms

Frugil Butterfly Kisses

Jessie is feeling a little better every day andnd I hope things can be back to normal around here tomorrow even though he still can not go back to work until Monday. I do my best house cleaning and stamp room organization on the weekends that he works and this will make 4 weeks in a row he has been off. gggrrrrr. I need MY TIME! LOL. Oh well some things can not be helped.

Whoo Hoo Wendy, talk about limits. Well this was a fun one to stay in the guidelines with. I made my own background paper (which I often do to save money) for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Designer Series Paper. I did like most always and used my GA Pacific paper and cut the center out of the pumpkin pie matt and by making my own dp and other ways of cutting cost on this one like ribbon tx and diminsionals from left over SU stamp mounts it is also for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Frugil Finds. Of course I had to use this weeks kewl color combo from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Summer Kiwi Pies. Whew. My one stamp set I used is my new all time fav called BUTTERFLY KISSES from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. I did the rock and roll for the butterflies stamping 1st in summer sun then rolling in pumpkin pie for my dp and the 3D butterfly focal image that I stamped 3 times, cut out and attached together at the wings then to the sentiment. I found some wide sheer orange and yellow ribbon and some thin yellow ribbon that I thought would look good together. My dp and sentiment layers are also sponged around the eges with summer sun and pumpkin pie. Sure hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Butterfly Kisses - Treehouse Stamps,
Paper: GA Pacific White, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, versa mark

Frugil First Kiss

Well the 1st thing Shannon said to me today was "today's challenge is all about you". Now what makes her say that? She is always calling me cheep and I say I am frugil. I am all over this WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Frugil Finds. 1st the image is Shannon's that she recently bought from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY - Sarah Kay's Collection and I stamped some of the images on some white GA Pacific paper for later use. We share as much as we can. The ribbon was marked down at Michaels and is one strip across then tapped in the back and the bow is 2 short strips tied together. The dp is from Michaels that we bought together and split the pack. The navy cs is from Michaels. As you can see I cut out the inside fo the navy cs and do this quite often, especially with my SU cs. This not only saves on cs but also on postage. I will attach this card front to a white base from a stack of scored white cards w/envelopes from Michaels. I have been stamping for over 4 yrs now and have NEVER purchased dimensionals. I use the left over rubber from my SU stamps. Now how much more frugil could one be? TeeHee. Jessie is feeling some better but still not well not as much tempt today as Wednesday. Hope he is well really soon.
RECIPE:
Stamps: First Kiss
Paper: Navy, DP, White
Ink: Black Brilliance

UPDATE: Jessie never goes to the doctor unless he is really sick and today he called me from the docs office to tell me they did a flu swab and YEAH it came back +. So we have a week ahead of us getting him well and keeping me from getting it. Run, do not walk, stay away! LOL!
============================================================== Well Jessie has coughed almost all night and at 3:30am he just had to give in and call work to let them know he just did not feel like he could make it. His daughter was here Saturday for the birthday gathering and was diagnosed last week with the Flu so we are hoping he did not get that from her. He never calls in sick at work. I have a busy day today and am so afraid they are going to call me in to replace him. Yeeks. Oh well, do whatcha gotta do right?

Whoo Hoo we have a kewl sketch this week on SCS so this is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Summer Kiwi Pies and for my background layer I did another of Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Rubber band Stamping. Such great color combo and technique this week how could I not use them all. LOL. I was inspired by DEBBIE'S TART & TANGY BD Card that she made for the CC that I CASED her idea. Thanks Debbie for the inspiration. My images are stamped and matted in their respective colors. My mouth begins to water when I think of Lemons, Oranges, and Limes. Yummy. I found time and opportunity to use one of my brand new SU sets. I fell in love with this set when it first came out and finally got it. I did rock & roll and 2 step stamping techniques on the butterfly. The rock and roll is Shannon's fault. She did a card last week and now I am on a roll. No punt intended. I punched out the itty bitty daisies and glued a tiny rhinestone in the center of each. Hope you like it. Off to work I go. Got an early morning meeting so I will be back later to comment during my lunch break. Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone.

Happy Sunday everyone. We had a blast over here Saturday with 3 granddaughters birthday party. Alana 8, Trinity 3 and Makayla 3. No time for stampin' though. I made this for today's FEATURED STAMPER - SgtStamper. I chose her FLUTTER BY SHIMMERZ CARD. I had already seen the challenge from Saturday and knew which set I would use if I had the time to stamp so this is also for Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Flutter. I just love the way Jami did the butterflies in her card. I also saw several cards in her gallery where she inverted the 3d effect with the center of her focus. Love it so I CASEd it. Changed the colors, layout somewhat and I just stamped my images on my base rather than cutting them out. I also stamped on the inside of this card. Yea Me!! All supplies used for this can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. I am SO SO ready for spring so I used some spring colors hoping it would help speed up the seasons arrival. LOL. Jessie built a fire last night and we staying in the living room with it all night. Sheriff Ian's True Friend

Edit: DON'T I just feel special. Ashley has put this photo on the THS Store Home Page. YEEPPPEEE !!!!!
OK I have officially been awake 34 hrs. Had to work 7pm-7am last night in ICU, then needed to work in my office some since I did not go in Wednesday. When I am not there my job does not get done, just piles up. And now I still can not sleep today so I stamped. Yeh!!. I love today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Stripes. I was doing the happy dance at work when I took a few minutes to browse the challenge. I could not hardly wait to get home and tear into some new My Minds Eye dp that just so happens to be flooded with polkadots and stripes. I love the colors in this sheet. I also needed a good reason to ink up my brand new Sheriff Ian that I got from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY under The Greeting Farm section of stamps Ashley now carries. He is just so adorable. He is stamped in adirondeck Espresso (also from THS) and colored with copics (also from THS), cut out and popped up on a layer of dp from the stack of MME. I found some ribbon at Wally world last week and used it. The sentiment is from True Friend a set from Stampin Up. My layout is one I found on THE DAILY DARE called SKETCHES BY TAMARA # 83. I really love this clean and simple layout, just my style and I really like how this turned out and hope you do to. I am going to turn on the TV, lay on the couch and see if what usually works will work today (zzzzzzzzzzz). LOL.

Photo Box Comparison

OK my cyber friends I need help. Shannon has been using a photo box she made and trying to talk me into one. Well today I attempted to make one. The photo on your left is the 1st one with the card directly under the light - no box. The photo on the rigth is in the box. What do you think? Please let me know.

Thankful Butterfly Kisses

Well I am doing a 2nd card today to attempt to redeem my unblemished reputation :) This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. This time I used the color combo from Saturday's PAPER CRAFT PLANET COLOR CHALLENGE by ASHLEY BOWEN. I was so impressed with the technique and dp Shannon used in her ROCK and ROLL KISSES card that I decided to CASE her. I just love this new butterfly set released by TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. I punched a Giga scallop circle of kiwi kiss cs then stamped the image in kiwi kiss and cut the circle in half. I had some adhesive trim that I felt would fit on here so I used it. These big beautiful 3D butterflies were inked in yo yo yellow then the edges with More Mustard marker and I sponged with more mustared then choc chip around the edges. Cut out the 3 butterflies and attached them together then to the mustard square.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Butterfly Kisses - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, kiwi kiss, more mustard, choc chip
Ink: kiwi kiss, more mustard, yo yo yellow
Accessories: adhesive trim, Giga Scallop Circle

Thankful for Summer Sunflowers

OK I plead insanity for today maybe bc I know I have to work from 7pm tonight until 7am tomorrow morning then I have to stay over for a meeting and I might get home around lunch time, ggrrrr. Please forgive me but I guess my twisted mind was at work early today bc all I could see was boobs and clevage when I saw the SC for today. So this is what I came up with for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE and I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - More Rosey Kiwis for my color combo. I trimmed layer 3 with my MS lacey border punch, joined the scalloped punched mustard layers with rose red ribbon. Stamped the sunflowers in more mustard then cut them out and stamped the center with rose red then stickles applied. These sunflowers are both popped up as is the sentiment from H & M STAMP COMPANY from a sentiment set called "A Lot Of Thanks". I am giving this to my former director since I have recently been re-assigned under a different and for the most part she has been very supportive. I think she will get a kick out of this one. She is very supportive of my crafting attempts.

Old English Love

Have you ever noticed how people 60-70 yrs ago that married are still together celebrating 50 and 75 yr Anniversaries? Ever wonder why there are so few nowadays? I truely believe it is because they knew before they married they not only loved each other but really liked being together. It was not lust back then, that came after the wedding. It was ALL about love, honor and respect for one another. They had hard times too, just like we do now but loved each other enough to work through those tough times and rise above them. In honor of all of those dear, honorable marriage I made this for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - More Rosey Kiwi's. I also did another of Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Round Top Box which just did not quite turn out as it was in my head. The colors inspired me to attempt that late almost gone sunset of dark orange and red in the skyline. Yea, that didn't happen cause it looks like a falling astroid. LOL. Oh well. I sponged the more mustard, rose red, and kiwi kiss. I colored the wall and walkway with copics. All images are stamped in black brilliance and the sentiment is in rose red. You can not see it in the pic but I have crystal effects on the lamp. I ran some white, kiwi, rose red and more mustard cs through my crimper then trimmed in tiny strips for some homemade confetti and what makes you feel more loved than choc, Notin' honey. teehee. Images and sentiment are from 2 sets from H & M STAMP COMPANY called "Old English and Old English Accessories". Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Old English, Old English Accessories - HMStampCo
Paper: White, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, More Mustard

Coffee Brewin' Box

Happy Monday everyone. I made this today for the TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Round Top Box. This was a really kewl and easy box to make. I stamped the images in sadle brown adirondack ink on vanilla CS. Then cut the box out and punched the 2 other images and layered with punches. I doodled as well. This is part of a set called "Coffee's Brewin'" and it can be found at H & M STAMP COMPANY. I used my copics for coloring and attached the edge of my box. I have it filled with a coffee filter and some specialty blend coffee beans for a friend of mine who litterly loves coffee. Hope she likes this as well. As the end of February fast approaches I am so going to miss being a part of the H&M Design Team but am so very thankful for the opportunity Heather awarded me to grow and learn. I am also going to look forward to showing my Stampin' Up stamps some much needed love as I have very much neglected them in the past 7 mos. Have a wonderful start of a new week.

Count Your Blessings

OK by all rights we should be packed and headed for Lake City,FL to THE BATTLE OF OLUSTEE but life sometimes interfers with our plans. Jessie is sick and it is supposed to rain all day Saturday. A cold wet ground and sitting inside of a tent all weekend is no fun but certainly not when you are not well. This is the main event of the year that we always look forward to going to. (insert pout). So we are driving down Sunday for the day which means I had time to stamp before heading to work. YEH!!

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Stretch Yourself where we were to use at least 2 things we did not normally use and list them. Well if you search my gallery you will find only a couple of cards with WIDE ribbon bc I do not do well with it. Just can not get it to work. Also when I do a SC that has a lot of layers I usually cheat some. Shannon says I am cheap I say frugile. LOL. Anyway today each layer is matted and the main image and cut out are both popped up. And since I don't usually attempt more than 1 challenge (teehee) I have 4 in this one. I stamped this gorgeous cross in perfect plum on some canvas material I had left over from making Jessie's gun sack to carry in camp for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Fabric. Then I glued that to some chipboard which I also never use and cut it out. I really love the effect this gave. I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Perfect Pink Kiwis. The cross, sentiment and corner designs are from a brand new just released set from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. I am still not sure I like how the ribbon turned out just bc that is out of my comfort zone. I heated the ends of the ribbon to make them twist. I applied some stickles to the corner designs. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Count Your Blessings - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: pink pirouette CS & PP, Perfect Plum CS & PP, kiwi kiss
Ink: perfect Plum

Livin' The Girls Life Dancin'

This is for Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and on THE DAILY DARE today I found a challenge from CUTE CARD THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 47 - Music & Dance that I knew instantly I had to do and what set I had to use with that theme. Well Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Perfect Pink Kiwis was a perfect color combo for this cute little ballerina. She is just adorable to me. I can just see my granddaughter in dance if she was not so clumsey (LOL). The sentiment and ballerina are from a set called "Livin' The Girls Life" and can be found at H & M STAMP COMPANY. I used my prismacolor pencils that have been collecting dust since my obsession with Copics started. Blended w/gamsol. I trimmed the main image with Nestie scallop rectangles and sponged the edges with perfect plum. I did not want it matted as I felt it to already be too large for the sketch. It is popped up. I tied some green ribbon across the plum layer then some pink under it for 2 layers. The pink layer is from Pink pirouette's pattern print stack. The star background is from SU retired background basic set and stamped in kiwi kiss. Just love those stars. HOpe you do too.

Happy Sunday all. I made this for today's FEATURED STAMPER - K Dunbrook. I picked her HAPPY ANNIVERSARY card to CASE. I just loved the colors she used and it is perfect with a silhouette image as well. I just happened to have some new rubbah needin' lovin' and so I changed the layout, left off the CB layer, paper piercing, ribbon, and brads. I used basic gray for my ink and a HB sentiment from Close To My Heart's "Happy Birthday" set that I just dearly love how it swirls. I have a cousin how is a deer hunter but has a hard time finding one so on this card I punched out 2 birds. One black and one white. I adhered them just off a bit and dotted an eye on the white one then folded the wings up just a bit. It looks like the deer is looking at the bird and I think he will like this or at least I hope he will.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Nature Silhouettes - SU, Happy Birthday (CTMH)
Paper: white, black, River rock
Ink: basic black, basic gray
Accessories: MS Dove Punch
Techniques: distress sponging

Green Fishy Friends Get Well

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE A - Creamy Caramel Olives. I used a new to me stamp called Fishy Friends from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY as I envisioned a get well card as many times as I have heard "green around the gills" said I just could not pass it up. I had to hand write my sentiment as I am still having printer issues gggrrrrr. My fish was colored with copics cut out and popped up. I colored the primas with my SU matching markers and they are held together with a brad colored with cameo coral.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Itty Bitty Backgrounds - SU, Fishy Friends - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: Creamy caramel. white, cameo coral, old olive, MME dp

Short & Sweet Giraffe

This is for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Recessed Window. I also searched on THE DAILY DARE for challenges and found this kewl layout on MONDAY'S MOJO # 72 SKETCH. I stamped my new Snag 'Em Giraffe image from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY in black stazon then colored it with Copic markers. My sentiment is stamped in baja breeze and matted on dp from MME that matches the base MME dp strips. I just love that new dp, yummy. I used some clear acetate over the main image to make it look like a photo in a frame. A strip of more mustard covered by some baja breeze ribbon. Hope you like it. I hope I have someone having a little boy I can give this to.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Short & Sweet, Giraffe
Paper: White, Dark Brown, More Mustard, MME dp
