Window of Resolutions

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 45 - Celebrate Those Resolutions. OK since you all know how I love to combine, well, I did it here too. LOL. I have combined some of my New Year's Resolutions here.
#1. Flowers in my yard, my grandmother could stick her thumb next to a dead bush and watch it come to life, if I walk past it dies. LOL.
#2. I have a room full of Stampin' Up sets that I bought because I love them, in 2011 you will be seeing me use them more.
#3. I have a room full of embellishments that I had to have and have collected dust, I am dusting them off and putting them to use.
#4. I am bad about making card fronts and then when I need it I have to attach it to a card base, stamp the inside, create an envelope, not in 2011.
#5. I want to really kick up my creativity to new levels and I will be needing the help of all of my SCS friends so if you don't mind when I load something in your comment make suggestions how it could be kicked up, made better. I would greatly appreciate it.
For this one I dusted off a fav set called "WINDOW ON THE WORLD" which was one I bought in the very begining. I stamped it Espresso ink then trimmed in the "out of the box" style including the inside of the window image. I colored with copics and matted on daffodil delight. This panel is popped up on deminsionals. My silver brad is from #3 resolution and it is also for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 303 - Steriling Silver.
I used some DCWV dp I already had out and seamed the 2 panels with daffodil delight ribbon.
My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 313. My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 303 - Old Navy Delight.
Hum perhaps I should have just resolved to only do 1 challenge for each card? LOL.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Window on the World - SU
Paper: vanilla, DCWV dp, daffodil delight, night of navy
Ink: espresso
Accessories: copics, dimensionals, ribbon
Techniques: out of the box, 3D, copic coloring

Silver Wheels Skate Chick

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 303 - Sterling Silver. What a kewl challenge. When I first saw the name I thought of wheels, sidewalks and then I remembered I had just printed this free digi image from Kenny K's site and computer generated sentiment to go with it for Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 313. So I went for it. While I was coloring this image with copic markers using Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 303 - Old Navy Delight I thought about how funny our grandchildren are this time of year. They can hardly wait to show Nana and Papa what they got from Santa and everyone else and if it is a game we usually have to play it with them. Monday Shannon brought their WII and some games over. Boy am I glad the kids did not bring their skateboards. LOL. If you think this chick is about to bust the rump you should see what I would look like. LOL.
I created my sidewalk with my new Copic Pen and colored it with copic markers then used the "out of the box" technique with my horizontal panel. I still wanted some more silver sparkle so I trimmed some night of navy using Fiskars Rope Border punch then threaded some silver ribbon through the loops.
I love how this turned out and hope you do too.
Off to work. Have a fabulous day my crafty cyber friends.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Skate Chick - KK
Paper: white, daffodil delight, night of navy, old olive, DCWV dp
Ink: copic pen
Accessories: copics, dimentionals, ruler, Fiskars Rope Border Punch, ribbon
Techniques: out of the box, 3D, copic coloring, sidewalk

Hello Sunshine - Where are you?

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 313 and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 303 - Old Navy Delight.
I used some dp and matted both pieces on night of navy and covered the seam with some daffodil ribbon.
My image and sentiment are from MARKS FINEST PAPERS from the set "HELLO SUNSHINE" and believe me when I say I am soo ready to see some warm sunshine. This month is going in the record books as the coldest temps for the longest amount of time in the month in GA in years. Bbrrrrr.
I stamped the entire image in night of navy then again using my SU Markers with selective colors I inked and stamped again. I cut the inside circle out to pop up. I used the "out of the box" technique for the top portion of the suns ray and stamped the sentiment in N.O.N. then matted on daffodil delight cs. It is hard to see but I randomly stamped the small sunburst image in daffodil delight on the navy dp.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Hello Sunshine - MFP
Paper: white, night of navy, daffodil delight, dp
Ink: olive olive, night of navy, daffodil delight
Accessories: ribbon, deminsionals, stickles

Hearts, Hearts, Hearts for Dessert

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 302 - Black Red White. These colors are perfect for Valentine since I am finished with Christmas cards. I used an image and sentiment from a set called "HEARTS, HEARTS, HEARTS". I think I have the dessert option covered with my image, charm, base and layers. LOL.
I stamped my image in momenta red ink then cut and embossed useing Nesties classic hearts and a white matt in the scalloped heart. My base is white cut with the largest Nestie scalloped Heart and topped with black cut and embossed with that same nestie. I did some faux stitching today for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 304 - Faux/Real Stitching. This darling set can be found at MARKS FINEST PAPER. Have you ever wondered why I rarely use charms? It is because I have such a hard time of where to and how to include them. It took me longer to add that heart charm than it did to make this card. Hope you like it. Now off to the kitchen to start some candy making for our Christmas gathering with all 7 grands and their families tonight. Whoopee. My tree is going to be sooo bare after it is over.

OK so I decided to make a gift card tag using Hello Sunshine set that was just released today. I cut the image out and cut the center out from the 2nd image to pop up on dimensionals. I then used my chaulks which have been collecting dust for some time now and added some yellow to the sun blue to the sky and water and a hint of light pink under the blue. It is really hard to see in the photo but very subtle IRL and I think it looks really nice. I punched a hole and threaded some black ribbon. This will make a perfect tag for a gift to someone.

Here it is day 2 of the blog hop and the set being featured is filled with wonderful images and sentiment. Here is just one of each. I colored with copics, then cut on the straight line of the image and matted on kiwi kiss and then a bluegreen cs layer that I also used on the bottom half of my base. My dp is DCWV. My sentiment is matted on kiwi kiss also. I cut the 3 butterflies out after coloring them exactly alike and created my 3D butterfly. I have a tutorial in my labels if you care to check it out. I love making these. They just add so much. I covered my seams with some kiwi ribbon, popped up my focal image and added some stickles for shine.

Here is a close up of this laying flat so you can see the dimension. Now go check out everyone else (links are listed above).

Shhh Holiday Blocks are in Town

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 300 - Celebration of Colors seems like we are doing a lot of reflecting here on SCS. Hum are we getting ready for the New Years Resolutions? LOL. This weeks color challenge was to use a past color challenge and since I LOVED last weeks colors and still had them on my desk well, I went with it so here is another COLOR CHALLENGE # 299 - Red Old Rocks. Shannon came over Saturday for some play time and we both had this image stamped so we set out to add color. Well we quickly realized there was a lot to color and small spaces as well. This image may not see ink again until next year. LOL. I used copics to color my image then cut, embossed and sponged using Nesties Label 17. Love that nestie. My layout is from Monday's MOJO MONDAY # 168. After cutting and embossing I sponged some river rock on the inside to tone down the white. My small image is stampin up's Holiday Block stamped in versamark and heat embossed. I then sponged some so saffron to give it a gold look. I did this emboss resist for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 302 - Emboss Resist. I punched a hole where the hole at the top of the image was and tied a red ribbon in a bow for Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 96 - Bows. I love how this turned out and hope you do to.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Stampavie's Shhh, Stampin Up's Holiday Blocks
Paper: red textured, white
Ink: so saffron, river rock
Accessories: copics, dew drops, ribbon, Nestability Label 17
Techniques: emboss resist, copic coloring, sponge distressing

I cut and embossed the small scalloped heart with the sentiment inside and colored with copics then popped it up on dimensionals in the center. I think this will be my Valentine to my dh. OH Beth I bet this comes as NO surprise to anyone that I would be more than happy to CASE my talented and gifted darling daughter as FEATURED STAMPER # 85 - It's Frog-tastic. I chose to CASE her SKIER HONEY. I love the felt snowflake she used and what is better than that is she shared some of these with me so I had to use them. I colored this image a few weeks ago when we were playing together and she had some printed images from Kenny K she was going to color. When she was not looking I snatched this image and colored it up. My youngest daughter saw this after I had it colored and requested that be her card this year so I made this for Michele, ssshh don't tell her.
Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 261 - Bronner's Christmas Wonderland. Well if Santa can go OCEANSIDE CHRISTMAS SANTA FIGURINE then Ms.Clause can certainly go sexy right? LOL!! I mean what Santa would not want to come home to this Ms.Clause? LOL.
My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 299 - Red Old Rock. I used some DCWV Christmas Stack dp. My focal image was cut, embossed and sponged with Nesties Deckled Rectangles. I used river rock to sponge the inside with. I tied a sheer olive ribbon bow then topped it with 2 felt snowflakes with silver cord to hold them together. Now Shannon is always fussing that I never finish a card, only the card front so she will be extatic that I have the inside complete as well. Here is a peek of the inside Hope you like it.

Laurie & Bertie Under The Mistletoe

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 309. My color combo is for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 299 - Red Old Rocks. My old olive panel stamped with Filigree in real red ink for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 301 - Faux Tile Background.
I colored my Greeting Farm image with copics a couple of weeks ago when Shannon was over for some play time so then all I had to do was find the right time to use it and today was that day.
I trimmed and embossed with Wonky Squares Nestie then sponged around the edges.
I had an embellishment opportunity arise as the corner of my focal image ended up under my filigree background stamp that I had inked in real red and stamped on old olive so I continued around the edges and sorta like how it ended up.
