Surfin' Santa Sneak Peak
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 287. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 277 - Curry Bay Durangos for my colors. My image is from a set due to be released tomorrow from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE and is called "Santa's Vacation". This is just one of the cute images from that set and one set of the 5 being released. My image was colored with copics
BG000, BG44, BG49, E07, E08, E30, E31, N07, R21, Y21, Y23, & Y26. Sorry I put R21 and N7 back up before I took the picture of the copics. I applied some crystal effects to the sunshades. I used some dp that Shannon (e3stamper) shared with me awhile back. My dusty durango panel 2 was embossed with the cuttlebug machine using "Swirls folder". Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Santa's Vacation - Treehouse Stamps Digital Line

Rusty's Relaxation Technique
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 277 - Curry Bay Durangos. I love these colors together and had suggested them when these In Colors were 1st released. So glad they are being used. My layout is from MOJO MONDAY 145. I used a digital image from Hambo called "Fat Cat" and that is just what our Rusty was. He and Garfield would have gotten along great since they were both fat and mischief. Rusty used to love to hide around the entertainment center after all the lights were off and grab the girls as they ran back to their rooms after telling me goodnight. He knew they hated the dark. I just layed in the bed waiting for the SCREAMS and the "Rusty I'm gonna kill you" to come before trying to fall asleep. LOL. Well it would also be just like him to get on a float in the pool and cool off in the hot days of summer like this fat cat is doing.
I used a drink image I picked up in the dollar bin at Michaels and popped it up. The sentiment is stamped in dusty durango and is from Stampin' Up's Hope Happens set. I thought it fit quite niecely on here. The dp is from a glitter stack called "SUMMER". My images were colored with copics.
OK, so you know how some people just can not leave well enough alone? YEP! I am one of those people. I was talking to Shannon today and she made a suggestion that I did not think of. Anyway I had to come home and try her suggestion. I stamped the drink image in crushed curry on the bottom panel of crushed curry for a tone on tone. I love it. I also added some stickles to the drinks. Now the card that I made that I liked, I really like it. Hope you do too.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Hope Happens - SU, Fat Cat - Hambo, Drink
Paper: whtie, crushed curry, dusty durango, Summer DP
Ink: dusty durango, MomentoTuxedo Black,
Accessories: ribbon, dimensiona, copics, Nesties Circles

CASE of King of the Grill
This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE # 177 - debbiemom23cs. I chose to CASE her FROG ON A LOG as I loved the way she framed the focal image with embossing. I changed the image, theme and colors. I made my ribbon slider and added some dp at the bottom. My image and sentiment are from Stampin Up's recent mini catty called King of the Grill and they are heat embossed for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 276 - Heat Emboss. I used my score pal to emboss around my focal panel. I love how this turned out and will probably be my dh's birthday card in august. I hope he likes he. He loves to grill and growls like Tim Allen when he is in front of our monster grill. LOL.

Stamps: King of the Grill
Paper: white, kraft, dp, blue and green cs
Ink: versamark
Accessories: copics, black and blue embossing powder, slot punch, score pal, ribbon

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 18 - I Scream, You Scream. Oh man it is sooo hot Ice Cream sure would hit the spot and if 1 scoop is good then 3 would be GREAT! Sorry the strawberry layer does not show up as well under the camera as I would like. The melted drops are also colored strawberry. I cut the strawberry and vanilla scoops out and popped them up. I adhered a red dew drop on top of the vanilla scoop to substitute as a cherry. My dp is from DCWV glitter Sweet Stack. My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 286. Hope you like it.

Magnolia Sympathy Color Challenge
This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 055 - Color Combo (pink, mellow moss, and your choice). This weeks challenge is being presented by Gloria Morizen and she had come up with a great color combo. I have been waiting for the exact color combo to use for Magnolia digital set released this month from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE and this one was it. My image was printed on white and colored with copics RV000, RV00, BG93, and BG96. I used my black SU marker to trace around the trimmed edge of my base to enhance the black border better. I applied some stickles just because I love stickles. I used pretty in pink and mellow moss as matts for the focal panel and sentiment. I used some sheer green and satin pink ribbon for embellishment. I love the Betty on SCS ties her bows and ribbons. When I grow up I want to be able to do that too. LOL.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Magnolia - THS Digital Line
Paper: White, Pretty in Pink, mellow moss
Embellishments: ribbon, stickles, copics

Something Sweet in a Magical Marquee
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 278 - Magical Marquee Card. Wow Holly this really tested my skills and I think I failed. I had a vision but this is not what was in my head by no means but I have to get to work so it is what it is today. I hope to do better tomorrow. Talk about "PLAIN JANE" this is right at the top of the list.
I have had this set for about a month now and finally used it today. My real red ink pad is yuk, yuk sticky so I had to use riding hood red. I also forgot when I ordered this just how much I HATE solid images. I just can not get them to ink up like they should even with distressing them with fine sand paper or erasers. gggrrrrr.
After I finished I had enough red ink on my hands to ink up another image. LOL. Now how I am going to explain that to patients today?
Tomorrow is another day. Happy Stampin' everyone.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Something Sweet
Paper: white, red, black
Ink: riding hood red
Accessories: circle punches, square punch

Dog Day's Father's Day Gift Card
This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 17 - Man's Best Friend. Well everyone knows that dog is man's best friend right? Well except for mine who went crazy after a lightening storm one night and started tearing everything up around the outside of the house. He completely destroyed a swingset that Jessie made for our 1st granddaughter.
Anyway this is for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 275 - Raving on Ribbon. I do not remember what challenge it was but I do remember doing this a long time ago. Making a slit in the corners and using ribbon as a frame. I love how it looks on this. I used 1/8in red ribbon to frame this digital image that was matted on mellow moss. My card base is barely banana. My image was colored with copics which is my favorite coloring tool so this is also for Thursday's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 054 - Tool Time. My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Barely Mellow Red. My focal image and sentiment were just released this week from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE called "DOG DAYS" and was printed on white cs. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Dog Days, Treehouse Stamps Digital Line
Paper: whtie, mellow moss, barely banana

Here is what I made and mailed to Ashley. I used this month's free digi. This image was created by Ashley for the June contest. Details about the June contest can be found HERE.
My digital image was manipulated with GIMP by removing the star in the flag and replacing it with the HB text. It was printed on white cs then colored with copics

Happy Dragon Sneak Peek
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 275 - Barely Mellow Red. I have been MIA so I am playing make up. This is also for TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 277 - One Layer Wonders. I am also including Sunday's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE # 175 - LeAnne Pugliese. I am CASEing LeAnne's CAS Sympathy Card changing the theme, colors and left off the brad in the flower center.
I used a darling digital image due to be released Wednesday from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE called "HAPPY DRAGON". I colored my image with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol blending medium. I love my copics but did not want the inside of the card to show where the color bled through the cs and I needed to use my color pencils again. You can barely see my daisy colored with brown and barely banana. I added som stickles to the inside of the daisy and randomly on the dragon and ground. I have been ignoring them lately.
Hope you like it

Beachy Vacation Trip to Fernidina
I have been MIA for a few days, sorry, but the Jessie and I took Michele and her 2 kids and Shannon and her 3 kids to Fernidina Beach for a long weekend short vacation. We left early Saturday morning and they left later that afternoon when Michele got off from work. We all had a blast even though Jaylen, Michele's 2 yr old was not a happy beach comer until late Sunday night when it was almost time to go home. Bless her heart she had a time this weekend with him, but if you have had a 2 yr old you know what I mean.My beach pictures are still on the roll but for now here is a picture of everyone except Jessie, Danny and me in the pool.
Here is Danny and Jessie chillin under the shade of the umbrella, well Jessie is not in the shade. After I took this he went back to the room and got on his swim trunks and jumped in. It was SOOOO HOT Monday.
After we checked out and headed home, Shannon, Danny and their 3 went back to the beach but it was just too hot so they headed on home too.

Congrats Grad Color Challenge
This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 53 - Color combo (Red, White, & Black). This week Anne Harmon choose the challenge and of course it was a color combo involving Red. Anyone who knows Anne knows how much she loves the color red.
We needed a graduation card for Claire who is the daughter of Harry & Joanne Roberson from Albany. We are all in 4th GA Co E group. Albany's colors are red and black so it was fitting that I combine the 2 needs. I used a digital set called CONGRATS GRAD. This digital set along with many, many more can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS under ALL DIGITAL SETS. I printed out the owl and then the hat as well. I colored both images and cut out the hat added a black brad and popped it up on top of the hat on the owl image. My dp is from DCWV glitter matt pack. Some black and red ribbon and I was done. I hope Claire (aka Dixie) likes this and what is enclosed as well. This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 276 - Getting Personal and use our favorite technique - mine is copic coloring.
Now it is your turn to make something with these colors. Just be sure to provide a link from your blog post to the TREEHOUSE STAMPS CHALLENGE on the blog so everyone can see your creativity.

Cheeky Beauty BD for Madison
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 284. I used Tuesday's Tempting Coral Rubies COLOR CHALLENGE # 274. I made this for my 2nd granddaughter, Madison, who will be turning 8 in August. She is the drama queen and Diva of the family so this is so fitting for her. She thinks she is a queen anyway. LOL. So this is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 276 - Getting Personal. I just received my order from The Greeting Farm Monday and had to ink up the 2 new cheekys I ordered. They are just tooo stinkin' cute to me. I used my Gina K circle stamp and inked it up with ruby red then stamped on cameo coral and cut it out with Marvy Giga Circle punch. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's All Holidays and is stamped in ruby red on tempting turquoise. My panel 2 b is a Martha Stewart candle border punched in white then I colored the flames with cameo coral and added some Ranger yellow stickles. My dp is from a stack of My Minds Eye. I also added a red gem into her crown. Hope you like it, I know Madison will.

Cheeky Get Well Nurse Jackie
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 274 - Tempting Coral Rubies. My layout is from Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH # 142.
Now I have to admit I cried the entire time I was loading this so ignore the smears. This is also for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 276 - Getting Personal. This card was made in honor of my Mom who would have been 80 this year if Cancer had not taken her from us 20 years ago. It is really hard to believe it has been 20 yrs and I still can not go to the grave. She was a waitress who worked her way through LPN school while raising me and my older brother in our early years of life. It was so hard on her, even as a child I could tell that. Anyway my mom, like me, had dark olive complection and instisted on keeping her hair (unlike me, LOL) Jet black even at the age of 60. She was nursing back when they had to wear caps. I can remember her starching her uniforms and cap and polishing her shoes.
Needless to say she NEVER would have worn blue stockings but it just seemed to fit on here. Can't you just hear that seductive voice saying "get well honey"? I used some MME dp from Butterflies and blossoms, some cameo coral, ruby red and tempting turquoise cs for matts and a white card base.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Cheeky Nurse - TGF
Paper: white, ruby red, tempting turquoise, cameo coral
Ink: tempting turquoise
Accessories: MS border punch, ribbon, circle punches
Techniques: out of the box, 3D, copic coloring

Copic Colored Congrats Grad
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 276 where we were to get Personal with today's creation. Well my darling hubby decided a few days ago that he needed a graduation card for a cousin while we were at Wal-Mart. This day happened to be 4 days after graduation in our home town so the graduation cards were no longer in stock. No problem, I have this covered at home. This is what I came up with. I used a digital set released last month from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. I love this wise old owl image. I printed the owl and the cap making both the same size. Colored and cut out the cap then added a black brad in the top of the cap, popped it up over the cap on the image and matted with cs that is a close match to the gold of the Colquitt County colors.
I used my all time fav color technique of copic coloring.
My dp is from DCWV glitter matt pack and my base is black.
I was happy that he loved it and hope she will like it too.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Congrats Grad, Treehouse Stamps Digital Line
Paper: white, black, gold
Accessories: ribbon, brad, dimensional
Techniques: copic coloring, 3D, digi's

A CASE of Friends & Flowers
This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 174 - Nikkischmaltz. I chose to CASE her DIGIMOM Card. I changed the colors, layout, left off the charm and border punch.
I was also inspired by this CRIB SET from Saturday's INSIPIRATION CHALLENGE # 235 - Layla Grace. I used a digi set from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE called Friends and Flowers. Since this is Flowers in a Vase on a table top this is also for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 273 - No Place Like Home that I missed out on playing along with. My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 283 and my color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 273 - Cocoa Banana Gardens. My focal panel image was colored with copics then I used my spica glitter pen to add some bling to the flower images, matted on garden green and popped it up. My base is garden green topped with some Garden green pattern paper. Panel 2 is close to cocoa pattern paper and panel 3 is barely banana topped with some brown satin ribbon.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Friends & Flowers, Treehouse Stamps Digital Line
Paper: white, garden green cs and pattern paper, close to cocoa pattern paper, barely banana
Accessories: ribbon, spica glitter pen
Techniques: copic coloring, 3D, digi's

Beach Vacation Scrapbook Page
This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 052 - Beach Vacation Theme. This weeks challenge was chosen by Kelly Hampton from our design team. Thanks Kelly as this gave the kick I needed to make a scrapbook page. I have been slacking up on scrappin'. This picture was taken at Carrabelle Beach in April with Jessie and Madison after they built their sand castle and Alana checking it out. We spent the day at the beach and cold as the water was them crazy grads of mine got in it anyway. Bbbbbrrrrr. Not me I layed on the beach soaking in some rays. I used some blue cs as my base and matted my photo on some red cs. The beach balls and sand buckets were printed on white then colored with copics and cut out. I popped one of the beach balls up on dimensionals. The sand castle on the bottom of the photo was colored with copics then I made some slits to slide the photo behind the castle. All images are from a digital set called Fun In The Sun from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE.
Now it is your turn to make something using a Beach Vacation Theme. Be sure to include THT052 in your keywords when you upload and then also provide a link in Mr.Linky on the Treehouse Thursday Blog Post. We would love to see what you make.
This also qualifies for the following challenges around the blog sites:

Wednesday's Creative Inspiration - Beach Theme
Whimsical Wednesday Summer Inspirational photo
Tuesday's Stampavie & more Summer Challenge
Thanks for taking a look,

Sunflowers Make Hope Happen
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 283. I love this layout Roxy, thanks for all you do for us challenge junkies. LOL.
With the colors from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 273 - Cocoa Banana Gardens screaming for sunflowers I just had to answer the call today. I dusted of this darling Stampin Up Summer Sunflower retired set at actually put ink to rubbah. LOL. I have used digis so much lately I had forgotten how to do that technique. I also almost forgot to clean my rubbah after I stamped. OOOhhh that would not be good.
I stamped the stem on my base in garden green. Then I stamped the inked the solid leaf and stamped off then stamped on some white cs. I then inked the 2nd part of the leaf stamp and stamped it over the 1st part. I did this 3 times and cut them out. I stamped the sunflower in barely banana then the inside portion in close to cocoa and cut the sunflower out. I popped up the sunflower then placed the leaves around the flower. The focal panel was also popped up after adding the yellow and green ribbon.
I used some garden green pattern paper for panel 2 and close to cocoa base. Panel 3 is barely banana where I stamped the sentiment from a new to me stamp set from Stampin Up called Hope Happens in close to cocoa. I added some stickles last to the flower and leaves bc I LOVE glitter.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Summer Sunflower, Hope Happens
Paper: white, barely banana, garden green, close to cocoa, garden green pp
Ink: barely banana, garden green, close to cocoa
Accessories: stickles, ribbon, dimensionals
Techniques: 2 Stamp Stamping, Stamping Off, 3D

Embrace Life
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 273 - Cocoa Banana Gardens. What a lovely color combo Betty has provided us with again this week.
For my layout I used LIZZIE ANNE DESIGNS SKETCH CHALLENGE from today's challenges.
My image and sentiment are digitals from a set called "EMBRACE LIFE" and can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE.
I colored my rose with copics BG10, G24, G28, Y08, Y21, & Y32. I love roses and yellow roses are my all time favorite so today's image choice was a breeze. My dp is garden green pattern paper and I covered the paper lines with some green ribbon. I tied some yellow hemp in the button. My focal image and sentiment are both popped up on dimensionals. I traced around the lines of the rose with stickles and around the sentiment with my spica glitter pen.
Hope you like it.
