Thoughts & Prayers

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Peach Espresso Craze given to use by Mary, yeah what kewl colors for this time of year.
I just had to do another one of Holly's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Embedded Image from Monday and combined it with Monday's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 163 - Sympathy since they just all seemed to go together so great. For my layout I am using Monday's MOJO MONDAY SKETCH # 163.
I started with vanilla cs and stamped my Stampabilities Le Lendon Script in espresso ink then sponged some Antique Linen and distressed the edges with espresso. The I sponged my versamark pad, clear detail embossing powder and heat set it 3 times. I stamped the image in versamark and found some Stampendous Pearlsuter Carnelian embossing powder I had never used before. It looks really close to cajun craze IRL but my photo does not show it's true colors. grrr. Anyway I used some peach parfait cs trimmed with my Fiskars border punch on top of my TLC panel and stamped the sentiment in cajun craze. I also added a thin strip of cajun craze under the border punch so you could see the color through the holes. I used espresso cs trimmed with Nesties long rectangle scalloped die for my matt. My base of espresso cs is topped with vanilla that was also sponged with antique linen then distressed with espresso ink on the edges and some peach parfait ribbon for accent.

Shannon will be so proud of me I completed the inside as well. Whoo Hoo. I stamped the image in cajun after stamping off then the sentiment in espresso on vanilla. I have unfortunately depleted my stash of sympathy cards so I am restocking hoping I will not need them anytime soon.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Thoughts & Prayers - SU, Le London Script - Stampabilities
Paper: vanilla, espresso, peach parfait
Ink: espresso, cajun craze, antique linen
Accessories: ribbon, Fiskars border punch,Nesties Long Scalloped Rectangles
Techniques: heat emboss, dry emboss, die cut, embedded image
