This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Quilling. I have never tried this until today. It is quite fun and easy. Today is my 1st day of stamping since Friday so if you know me you know I have been out of sorts. I think I am finally gaining ground on this summer cold/allergy fit I have been suffering with. DH and I went to Valdosta yesturday to see The Proposal. I loved it but then I love almost anything Sandra Bulloch is in. OH Well onto today's creation. For my layout I used today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE - Sketch. For my color combo of summer sun, pumpkin pie and really rust I used Saturday's lovely INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Better Homes & Gardens Room guest hosted by Lori. I loved the colors in this inspiration and knew I wanted to use them, The CAS sketch was perfect and so I grabbed my July released Sunshine Set from CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS because these colors just screamed sunshine and I knew I could make a circle with my 1st attempt at quilling. LOL. I used a punched foam circle and inked it in summer sun then rolled it in realy rust and stamped it. I applied some Ranger Yellow stickles in the circle then placed my quilled circle on top of the stickles. What better way to make it stick than with stickles. I hand drew some sun rays with pumpkin pie marker and covered them with some clear stickles. The sentiment is stamped with really rust. I used some scraps of cs for my matts. Hope you like it.
