Well my FIL went through his surgery just fantastic Thursday. He will be coming home later this morning. He was sitting up eating about 2 hrs after he got back to his room. Jessie stayed with him and they walked the hall last night and he had a pain free walk. He fell a few months ago getting out of bed and weeks later still in pain gave up and went to the doc. Xrays showed not only does he have curvature of the spine which I already knew but he had a fractured a vertabrea and compressed some disc in his back. Ouch!! He was offered pain meds and see if it gets better verses surgery and opted to go with meds. 2 weeks after his visit he was calling the doc back begging for surgery but his 3 wk appointment was the earliest he could be seen. It will be so good to see him able to work and walk without hurting. He is 76yrs old and still works at his furniture covering business in his back yard shop. That business was started by his father and has been going on for many, many yrs. I am afraid it will end with him unless his daughter decides to become interested in it and take it over. Jessie's brother surely has no interest in the family business and Jessie's career is in nursing for 31yrs. When he retires he says he is going to be a fishing charter Captain.
Oh well on to today's
LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Shed the Layers. I was able to play with a set that my sweet daughter (e3stamper) left with me while she and her family are gone to PC for the weekend where her FIL lives. It is a darling ocean set of all sorts of sea life. I sponged the bottom with creamy caramel and above that with cool carribean. The images were stamped with black and I masked the angel fish and seahorse images to stamp the seaweeds. I applied a google eye to the fish and seahorse All images were colored with copics. I applied some stickles to the bubbles, star fish and the coral.
