WOJ Willow with Sun Hat CASEing

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 156 - Butterfly Ears (aka Nicole). I chose to CASE her PB BASHFUL card. I changed the position of the ribbon and threaded mine though a button, left off the primas, and changed the colors. I used a little girl image but mine is a Whiff Of Joy Image called Willow with Sun hat and it came from TREEHOUSE STAMPS. My dp, ribbon and button also came from Treehouse Stamps. The dp is called Painted Stripes. My image and color selection were chosen using Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 217 - Espe. I just love the colors and the daisies on this darling HANDBAG. I used my prismacolor pencils and gamsol blending medium for the 1st time in a long time. I used my SU markers to color the small daisies. My focal image and matt were trimmed & embossed with Nesties Long Rectangle.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Willow with Sun Hat - WOJ - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: pink, purple, white, Painted Stripes - Imaginisce
Ink: graphite black, pretty in pink, lavendar lace

Baby Boy Milk Carton of Goodies

This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Stretching the Limits with 3D. OHH thank you, thank you Dawn. I have been wanting to make one of these for yrs just did not have the courage. I love them. They are just tooo adorable. I have a co-worker who is expecting her 1st child soon and it is a boy so I thought this would be perfect to fill with pacifiers (aka blinkie's), teething tabs, booties and such. I hope she does not mind the ribbon and cord but I felt like it needed something. I love this Paper Studio dp but next I will for sure use CS and trim the dp to fit around it. I may have to make this over and do just that before I give it to her but for now here it is. I even have enough dp to make a gift card to go along with it or maybe a tag. WHoo Hoo wish I did not have to go to work so I could keep playing. Oh well it takes a job to keep up with my addiction. LOL.
RECIPE:
Stamps: none
Paper: Paper Studio dp
Ink: none
Accessories: ribbon and cord

Luvin' My Digis

Well I survived Tuesday in ICU all 12 hrs of it. It was no where near as bad for me as the last 3 times have been. At least I did not get any new patients. I couldn't cause my hands were full with the 2 I already had. Whey, I sure was glad to see the night shift come in. Anyway on to today. Have I mentioned how much I am luvin' digital images and paper? Well I DO! and never thought I would. This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 265. What a fun one it is too. My color combo is Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 255 - Pretty Mamo Blossoms with a Heart Dessert. I am soo loving all the digital images and paper designs Ashley is creating over at TREEHOUSE STAMPS. My dp, image and sentiment are all digital. My hearts are Nestabilities cut, emboossed and popped up. I also got them from Treehouse Stamps. I free handed the I "heart" U with melon mambo marker then traced over that and the sentiment on the cupcake with my spica glitter pen. My image was colored with copics. Pretty in Pink cs for my base, ribbon topped with a thin strip of heart dp and melon mambo and pretty in pink matts trimmed with Martha Stewarts lacy heart border punch. How'd I do?

Indian Summer Heart Princess

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 155 - Karen Barber. Whoo Hoo so excited to see her fabulous work in the spotlight. I have always drooled over her gallery and was drawn to the elegance and lovely color combo of her DREAMY ROMANCE darling creation. I had already spotted this gorgeous LIPSTICK COLORED RUANA from Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 216 - Echo I kept the layout but extended it to a 4x5.5 size card and changed the orientation of it to vertical. I wanted to use some pearls but did not have any small enough for my image so I had to settle for liquid pearls and still had trouble with them fitting in the small places. My dp is Indian Summer and my darling precious image I just bought from Sweet-N-Sassy bc I love her and had to have her. She was colored with copics E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, E50, E51, E53, G12, G21, R00, R01, R20, R21, R22 & R24. After coloring I cut her out and popped her up on some blush blossom cs for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 254 - Cut It Out. I matted the blush blossom layer on cameo coral that was punched on the end with Martha Stewart Lacy Heart Border. I attached 4 of the hearts from the punch in the corners. I love how this turned out and hope I did Karen's creation justice.

THT033 Digi Punny Get Well TV

Well it's Thursday again and that means it's also time for another challenge from Ashley over at the TREEHOUSE STAMPS BLOG. This week she has challenged us to use the theme of GET WELL. I decided on using some more of her recently released Digi stamps and sentiments. This darling old fashioned TV is from a digi set called PUNNY CLASSICS, and the sentiment is from CHOCOHOLIC. Both were recently released from TREEHOUSE STAMPS new Digi Line.. I colored this with copics. I still have to learn how to use GIMP to put the sentiment inside the image where I want it so for now I just trimmed and glued it. My color combo is from SCS Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 254 using Bashful blue, ruby red, soft suede and a neutral. The desert this week was stripes so I covered that one too. LOL. My dp is also from Treehouse Stamps Imagininsce line called Comfy Cozy which techniquely is Christmas paper but I thought it worked fantastic with this. My layout is from Monday's MOJO MONDAY # 122. I ran the soft suede piece of CS through my Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder. I used my Fiskars oval template to trim my image and Marvy Extra Giga Oval Scallop for the mat. Hope you like it and we all hope you play along with this weeks challenge. Just make sure to use the keyword THT033 when uploading.
Whoo Hoo, I just looked and today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 254 - Cut It Out is exactly what I did on this. I love it when that happens.

Determined to get some much needed therapy I made this for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 264 and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 254 - Bashful Blue Suede Rubies. This darling image is called WS Ruby from The Greeting Farm and I colored her hair Saturday at Shannon's with her help. I wish I could color just a portion as well as she does. Beary Loveable You

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Weebeestampin. Wendy is a fantastic stamper and I loved browsing her gallery. I found inspiration in her LOVE YOU BEAR with that darling bear angel and the layered heart border. I changed the layout, colors, left off the heart tag and bow and kept the layered heart border punches. I chose my color combo from Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Groovy Inclinations using this darling MORPHALOO PANORAMIC PINK PRINT. Love the pink and reds especially this time of year. My image and paper are both brand new digi stamps and paper that will be released Thursday, Jan 14th from TREEHOUSE STAMPS so bc they are new to me this also fits Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - In With The New. I just love that heart digi paper and this was my very 1st attempt at digi paper but sure to not be my last. My image was colored with copics E20, E25, E27, E29, R46, & R81. I colored the heart image the same as on the bear image, cut it out and popped it up. I trimmed some pink and red cs and punched the MS Lacey Heart Border punch then layered them offset just a bit. I used some red ribbon to cover the seam of my papers and attached a heart from the border punch waste to each corner. So what do you think? How did I do?

THT031 Wild Baby Bird, Button, and Bling

Well today is Thursday and that means it is time for another Treehouse Thursday Challenge. This week Ashley has challenged us to a recipe of a Bird, Button, and Bling. I used my Martha Stewart Dove punch, a button to help hold the easel card open and dotted the "i" with a crystal gem. Something new on Treehouse Blog site is that each week one of the design team members will be featured. This week it is none other than ME in the spotlight. I don't know why I am the DT Coordinator. I make a great follower just not that great at leading but I have been given the job and like any other job will do my best. For my spotlight I decided to make an easel card bc I love them and they are excellent for button use. I had made one in September that I liked so I CASED it and did some tweeking. My tuturial is on Stamp-a-ma-jigs. I had been stamping for about a year before I gave in and got one. I love it. I can use it on images, wording, anything. It is excellent for placement issues. I wanted to use a sentiment from Wild Baby stamp set sold at TREEHOUSE STAMPS but I was working with a 1.25 inch square and the sentiment would not fit. Perfect time to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig. So here is my description of when and how to use it.

Have you ever found youself with a sentiment that just did not fit where you wanted to put it or the wording was just too long and you could make it fit a different way. Well that is where a stamp-a-ma-jig comes in handy. If you don't have one you want to get one. You can get one from Stampin' Up or your local craft store.

Begin with placing the T shaped part on the corner of the clear plastic insert. Then stamp your sentiment in a dark ink on the clear plastic insert with your block snug in the corner of the T.
Next ink up each word one at a time with a water base marker , align your image stamped on the clear plastic insert as to where you want the word to be placed , slide the T piece flush up against the plastic, remove the plastic then stamp with the block flush up against the T in the same position used to stamp the 1st time. Continue this process until all wording is placed where you want it to be, cleaning your stamp after each impression is made.

Quiet Quilted Moments

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 262. Trying to stay out of jail from not thoroughly reading the desert option I also used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Bermuda Celery Hunter, and included TWIGHTLIGHT TUESDAY'S INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 59 - Sparkle where I added stickles to the heart brad and water lines, CREATIVE CARD CREW CHALLENGE # 42 - Distressing where I sponge distressed my heart, and it only took me 2 days to build up the courage for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Paper Quilting that I tackled in a small portion on panel 3. Whey. I used a set just released in digital form by TREEHOUSE STAMPS. Ya gotta check them out. I am luvin' me some digis. No wait, no worry and I can buy more bc they cost less and store more bv they don't take up shelve space. TeeHee. My image is on vanilla cs and colored with copics BG10, BG11, BG15, BG45, BG49, E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, E50, E51, G12, G29, G40, RV000, RV10, RV11. I made my quilted panel from some dp from Impressions, I did some airbrushing for the sky and it is hard to see but I used some pink also. I need more practice, can not seem to get a good smooth flow especially with the Ciaos. I found some dark green felt ribbon that matched handsome hunter, I punched the large heart from Martha Stewart punch in vanilla and then distressed the edges with pink passion for some desert then added a pink heart brad in the center and popped them up. I stamped the sentiment in handsome hunter. I love how this turned out and hope you do too.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Quiet Moments - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: vanilla, Impression, Bermuda Bay
Ink: Graphite black, handsome hunter
Accessories: Copics, ABS, sponges, dimensionals, stickles, felt ribbon, 1in square punch
Techniques: Airbrushing, sponge distressing, 3D

Simple Friends and Get Well Wishes

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Bermuda Celery Hunters, and for today's TWILIGHT TUESDAY INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #59 - Sparkle and Monday's MOJO MONDAY # 120 Sketch. I am stretching my comfort zone this year and trying to do challenges that really challenge me like today's colors and Monday's sketch. I am a simple stamper so this sketch made my heart skip a few beats. LOL. I stamped my focal image in black on white cs then colored with
copics G12, G29, BG49, RV000, RV10, RV11. After coloring I covered the circles with stickles. My dp is from My Minds Eye - Just Dreamy. I used 2 stamp sets both from TREEHOUSE STAMPS called Simple Wishes and Friends & Lattes. Friends and Lattes is now offered in Digi. Yeah! Gotta love them digi, no shipping, no waiting for the mailman. Yeepee. Hop over to the store to see what else is under the Digi line. Ashley is on a roll. I made my own background for panel 3 simular to the dp I used by using the large solid dot from Simple Wishes and stamping it randomly with Handsome Hunter, Rose Red and Bermuda Bay on certainly celery cs. My border is from Martha Stewart's line (gotta love'em). Giga Scallop circle for my focal panel matt with my focal image cut out and popped up. My satin ribbon was dyed using my copic marker, layered with sheer celery colored ribbon and trimmed on the end for the sketch. My sentiment is from Simple Wishes. Hope you like it but now I have to go to work seeing spots. LOL.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Simple Wishes, Friends and Lattes, Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, bermuda bay, certainly celery, MME - Just Dreamy, pink
Ink: graphite, black, bermuda bay, rose red
Accessories: colored gems, stickles, dimensionals, Martha Stewart Border, Marvy Giga Scallop Circle, sheer ribbon, satin ribbon

I will have to do this over when I get home, already at work right now. ggrrr

CAS Lilac Fairy

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Ardodd. What a fantastic stamper. I gasped when I ran across this darling BUMBLE Card using one of the Stamps Happen Fairies as I have not used mine in such a long time. Shame on me. So I broke Lilac out and got her dirty. She is just adorable with that basket of hearts and cute bear. This will make a great Valentine card for one of my sweet granddaughters. I know they will love it. I used my new Easy Share Kodak camera today and bc it is new I am still learning with it. I stamped the image in graphite black then colored with copics, lots of copics. LOL. I used Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - Clean & Simple to make this as the image is so large it does not allow for much of a sketch. My image is matted on Lovely Lilac and I used some Lovely Lilac pattern paper from Stampin up for the base. White sheer ribbon and some light purple ribbon on top for embellishments. I love the way Ann done her ribbon in many of her uploads so I CASED that as well. I changed the image but kept with the same company and type. Changed the colors, and used only 1 matt on my focal image. I also added the ribbon. How did I do?
RECIPE:
Stamps: Lilac - Stamps Happen
Paper: whtie, lovely lilac, lovley lilac pattern paper
Ink: graphite black
Accessories: copics, white sheer ribbon, light purple satin ribbon
Techniques: copic coloring

The copics I used are B60, BV00, BV02, E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, G20, G21, G24, R01, R05, R08, Y21, & YR21. My picture is blurry, sorry about that. I will do better next time. I will try to retake it later today.

Simple Butterfly Wishes

This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Design Spirit Studio where I found so many adorable pieces. I just love the clocks especially the ones like this BUTTERFLY CLOCK so I went with that for my focal panel. I stamped the large butterfly from Butterfly Kisses in barely banana then rolled it in dusty durango. This is also for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Time. While showing love to the other uploads for the challenge I found this darling RING, RING, RING card created by niki1. I do not have any clock images and thought this was a perfect way to meet the TIME challenge using beads. Isn't she creative? Thanks Niki for the inspiration. I used my paper piercer to thread the beads through so this is also for Thursday's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE #030 - Paper Piercing. I used a layout from today's JUST US GIRLS #14 - Sketch Challenge. I used 2 stamp sets from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Butterfly Kisses, Simple Wishes for this card. I used the 3 small butterflies to make a background dp for the panel behind my sentiment layer. I thought I was doing Tuesday's color challenge too until I realized I did not add any gray. Shannon will be so proud bc I completed the inside and envelope. That is my New Years Resolution. LOL. How did I do?
RECIPE:
Stamps: Simple Wishes, Butterfly Kisses - Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, barely banana, dusty durango
Ink: barely banana, dusty durango
Accessories: beads, thread, paper piercing kit, dimensionals,, Scallop circle punch, circle punch, stamp-a-ma-jig, Fiskars Embossing folder - Diamonds & dots
