My focal image is from a digital set due to be released April 7th from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. On the inside I used a stip from the dp and stamped Happy Birthday from Birthday Cupcakes and ROAR from Wild Baby stamp sets. I had to hand finish the ing with my SU Bermuda Bay marker. I used a mask of the lion to air brush some Bermuda Bay around him. My focal image was colored with copics.

Best Blossom All Holidays Inside and Out
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 266 - Inside & Out. Way to make me stay on track with my NY Resolution Holly. I have been slacking and this was the boost I needed. I am bad to finish the outside and set aside for when it is needed. Then I have to remember what color I used or match it up and find a sentiment for the inside... I have got to stick to my plan to complete when I create. Anyway I used my favorite Sentiment on the outside from All Holiday's stamped in Brocade Blue and for the inside I used Best Blossoms stamped in Cranberry Crisp and Brocade Blue with strips of the dp's used on the outside. Shannon came over Saturday for some stamp therapy and play time and shared this fantstic dp with me so yall make sure she knows I used it since she is always accusing me of hoarding. LOL. My layout is from today's SKETCH AND STASH CHALLENGE # 32. I love this layout. I used some primas held together with tiny brads and a strip of blue ribbon across the top. My card base is vanilla. I used PICNIK photo editing program to create the collage of outside and inside. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Best Blossoms, All Holidays - SU
Paper: vanilla, MME dp
Ink: brocade blue, cranberry crisp

Sea Turtle Hunt Memories
This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER # 164 - Beedubya. I found my inspiration in her OLDER AND WISE BDAY Card. I changed the layout, colors and theme but I did love the turtle image. Since I don't have that one I used a digital image recently released from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 273 and a celebration theme for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 263 - Let's Celebrate. My dp is some Shannon just shared with me on Saturday. My image was colored with copics. I am also including Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 265 - Childhood Memories since I have such wonderful memories of family vacations to Panama City every summer and since I did not like jellyfish I spent a lot of time on the beach at night looking for sea turtle beds and hoping to see some babies making their way to the ocean. I don't think I ever did see any but I sure had fun trying. We had a place we staying at every year and I always looked forward to going.

THT042 Cupcake Sketch
Today is Thursday and that means it is time for another Treehouse Thursday Challenge. This week the spotlight is shining on the one and only Ashley Bowen, Treehouse Stamps owner. She has designed a fantastic sketch for us to follow using any theme:
So here is what I came up with. I used a digital image called from a set called "Cupcake Wishes" I cut the cupcake out and colored it to match the dp I just picked up a few wks ago at my LSS called SUMMER FUN. I colored with copics R14, R17, RV32, RV34, YR21, YR23, YR24. I need to break back into my Prisma Color pencils again or my watercolors but I just LOVE my copics. We have had so many participants lately with our challenges and Ashley is just thrilled to see so many following the challenges. Come on and play along using this sketch and make sure you include THT042 in your upload.

A Sweet Little Note
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 273. I also did another one for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 265 - Childhood Memories. I did enjoy so much reading about everyone's memories and while trying to decide which memory to use Monday another favorite fun time memory came to mind. Road Trips with my Mom driving and my brother riding shotgun were so much fun. We killed the road time avoiding boardem by singing. Mostly gospel tunes. One day I distinctly remember we were singing and they stopped after the 2nd verse and keep on going. I thought my mom was going to break her neck looking back at me. Neither one of them knew that verse and had no idea that I did. My mom smiled so pretty at me and with her eyes let me know how proud she was. AWE at the memories! So in honor of all those road trips I used some new digital images soon to be released from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - DIGITAL LINE. It is hard to see but panel 2 is a black and white polka dot layer from a new line of digital paper called "BLACK & WHITE" the bird is from a set that will be called "Little Tweety" and the musical images on panel 3 are from "Music Of Life". I placed the musical images randomly to create my own dp. The bird was cut out in a circle then matted on Fiskars Scallop Circle. I have a co-worker who needs a little lift that I will give this to. I hope she likes it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Music of Life, Little Tweety, Black & White, Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, black, digital paper, custom made dp

I stamped her in black ink then colored with copics E07, E08, E30, E31, E33, E37, E39, E50, E51, RV10, RV11, G21, & G24. I used some caramel satin ribbon and gold cording in a pink button and the dp is My Minds Eye. My focal image is matted on pretty in pink cs. Sweet Childhood Memories
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 265 - Childhood Memories where we were to recall a childhood memory and be inspired by it to create. Well someone hold Shannon up when she sees this. I did a scrapbook page. GASP!! I never scrapbook bc I am soooo bad at it. When I do finally get the nerve to try I sometimes like what I come up but most of the time I file it in File # 13. Not this one. I love how this turned out.
OK, my memory as you can tell from the b/w pic is a cowgirl outfit I got for Christmas. I was 1 dressed up little Calamaty Jane. LOL. My Aunt Neva (yep that's where I got my name from) made this for me. I have another pic somewhere but could not put my hands on it where I am in front of the tree with my guns and hat on. That woman could sew ANYTHING. She made my wedding gown as well. She was more like a Mom than an Aunt in fact my girls called her "Granny Guy". I miss her so very much and wished she were with us today so that I could give her this page but I will give it to Shannon instead as I know she will cherish it forever. OK after I stop crying I have to go to work but thanks Holly for this wonderful challenge that forced me outside of my comfort zone and brought about something very special for me to pass on.
My image is from The Greeting Farm and she is called Cheeky Shooter. I colored her skin with copics but everthing else with prismacolor pencils then blended with gamsol. I cut her out and popped her up on white cs. I used my Star Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the white strip and punched out a red and white star to pop up.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Cheeky Shooter - TGF
Paper: white, red
Ink: black
Accessories: large & small star - SU, Star Embossing Folder
Techniques: Gamsol Magic, 3D, Dry Embossing

Tiny Easter Basket
This is for today's FREE 4 ALL # 4 - Colorful Baskets. Sylvia challenged us to create a 3d project or a basket on a card using Perfect Plum, Barely Banana, and Old Olive. I found a tutorial in SCS for this darling TINY TREAT BASKET and went to work. I printed out this cute Easter basket in black, olive, and plum all sized the same then I cut out an egg from the olive & plum colors and paper pieced them in the black basket that was then colored with copics and cut out. I used Perfect Plum pattern paper for my basket and white for the Martha Stewart picket fence border. My ribbon is secured with banana colored brads. The sentiment on the back side (right pic) is matted on barely banana then perfect plum cs. I filled this basket with some speckled Malted milked balls that I just love this time of year.
RECIPE:
Paper: white, perfect plum cs, perfect plum pp, barely banana

Mom's Butterfly Thanks
This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 262 - A Little Encouragement, and today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 041 - Thank You. Yaneri is our featured DT member for this week and she chose a Thank You theme as her challenge to everyone. I had to break into my flower images for this challenge as I also wanted to include Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 262 - Rich Olive Opulence with a dessert of swirls (check out my old olive dp squares with the swirl designs on it. I used SUNDAY SKETCH & STAMP CHALLENGE # 23 for my layout design. I used a stamp set called "My Mom" for my focal image and "Butterfly Kisses" which I have on rubber but are NOW available in digital form. Digital images have so many advantages with storage, manipulation of size, shape, etc. I am so luvin' digital. I used copics to color after heat embossing with Extra Fine Black embossing powder. My focal image was trimmed with Nesties Ovals then matted on Rich Razzleberry trimmed in Nesties Label 4. Come on play along with the DT. Just include THT041 in your keywords when you upload.

Whale Wishes Thank You
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 272. I flipped the layout to accomodate my focal image. I used the swirl from Friends and Latte's stamp set to make my own background on panel 2b for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 264 - DP by Me. My color combo is from today's COLOR THROWDOWN # 84 - Taken with Teal, Soft Sky, Black, & Tangerine Tango. Love these colors together. My image and circle image are from a digital set just released today from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE called Whale Wishes. I colored my whale with copic C3, C5, and C7 and the water with BG10. I used some stickles on the water line and spout spray from the whale. Hope you like it.

CRUISIN' with My Girls
I have been Missing In Action without notice bc of security reasons I waited until we got home to post where we had been. Jessie and I decided to celebrate our 11th Anniversary on a Cruise to the Bahamas. We had both already been 11 yrs ago on our Honeymoor and 2 previous times with other parties so I sold him on going back by taking a Royal Carribean cruise which takes you to their own private island "Cococay". We just did not plan on winds and rain being so bad. Oh Well in the plans I added my 2 daughters. My mother took me 3 months before she died and those are memories I will cherish forever. I wanted my girls to expierence those same memories - not that I plan on being gone in a few months but we never know for sure do we? Here we are headed to the boat and they are both cheezin' really big. Here is a picture of Michele, me and Shannon standing on deck 11 Pool deck on Saturday. Michele was so sick from some bad food Friday that she was not able to even enjoy the 1st day but I was so thankful to see her smiling face greet me at the door Saturday morning with her big smile saying "what's for breakfast?".
Saturday night was the Captains ball and a formal affair. I was shocked at how many people showed up in casual attire. Not us, we got all decked out as you can see. It is so fun to get really dressed up once in a while anyway.Don't my honey clean up good?
My girls had such a great time.
Sunday was spent at sea due to winds and the inability to dock at cococay island but the activities on board certainly made up for the dissappointment. We played every type of trivia you could think of.Headed home and still cheezin'. She was telling me what a "FANTASTIC TIME" she had. Shannon was cheezin' but driving so can only see the back of her head but she is cheezin' too. I had a hard time sleeping last night as my bed was not rocking me like I had been rocked to sleep for the past 3 nights, LOL. I still find myself swaying back and forth. There were sooo many funny moments NOT caught on film or camera that I would love to share but for now here is one for sure: Monday at 7am we docked back at Port Canavaral and got off headed home. No breakfast. So our plan was to stop on the road and pick something up. Well it was far down the road before we found anything. Shannon pulled into McDonalds and started to park but decided to go through the drive thru. Jessie is in the backseat with me going "hey, where are you going? we finally found some food and you are leaving? what is that about?". I almost wet my pants laughing. He was so pitiful. He just kept saying "but I'm hungry!"

Forest Friends Sneak Peek
This is for today's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 65 and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 264 -DP By Me where we were to make our OWN dp. I took a digital image of an acorn from a set called Forest Friends, colored it with GIMP and copied it for a full sheet of dp. My focal image is also from that same digital set and it is being released on Wednesday, March 17th from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. I have several cards that I have made but can not settle on 1 for my dh. Saturday is our 11th Anniversary. Sea Friends with a Lift Sneak Peek
Hiddie Ho Crafy Cavers. Whooo Hooo I am in such an AWESOME mood. I will tell you why in a few days. Anyway today is Thurday and that means it is time for another TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE. This week's number is THT040 and I am in the spotlight, another reason to be in a good mood huh? The challenge this week that I selected for everyone is a CAS (Clean And Simple) which can be interepreted in many ways - limited layers, embellishments, techniques, etc. Well this card took me about 10 minutes after I printed it to put together. There is NO coloring, NO techniques, and ribbon is my only embellishment but I do not like to see the seams where 2 pieces of cardstock meet. My image is a digital image due to be released on March 11th from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Digital line and it is called SEA FRIENDS. I used GIMP, a free photo editing program, to manipulate my digital image. Ashley has created a video to show you some tips on how to use GIMP if you would like to watch click HERE. I used the eraser to remove the cloud on the right and then the paint bucket to fill in the colors of my image. GASP - no copics. I used the Text to include my sentiment as I did not want a lot of layers on this. My upper cs is bashful blue and the lower cs is creamy caramel. My focal panel is up on demisionals. Now how much easier could this be. No decisions of what type of color medium to use, no coloring outside of the lines, no bleeding colors. I must admit that the new blog banner over on Treehouse Stamps blog was my inspiration for this card with my additions. So now it is your turn to play along with the rest of the Design Team and go make a CAS project the go to the Treehouse Blog and add your link to Mr.Linky so we can see what you came up with. What ever you do just have fun because I plan on having plenty of fun when we go on our cruise.
GUEST DT CONTEST:
Have you ever wanted to be on a design team? Would you like a free digital image to play with or to try out? If you answered YES to either on of these questions then you need to click on over to the TREEHOUSE STAMPS BLOG and check it out.

Oliver Wants To Play Monsters
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 271 and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 261 - Bashful Celery Melons. Well today's sketch was a fun one. Thanks Roxy. I love easy sketches. I decided to use my copics today. I used E44, E47, E50, E51, E53, B32, B41, G12, G40, RV25, RV29, YR20, YR23, & YR31 to color up this cute digital image from The Greeting Farm Oliver and Amelia line. He is just so cute and all these dinosaurs remind me of Brayden a few yrs back when he was obsessed with them. He was so cute though, everytime we went to Shannons he had to get them out and line all of them up to show his Nana & Papa what a collection he had. I think I will give this card to him the next time I see him just because I love him.

Out Of This World Hospitality
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 261 - Bashful Celery Melon. I know, I know, blue, green and pink scream of flowers but I was just NOT in a flower mood today. I was in a playful mood. Could be because we have a Bahama cruise in our future. Whoo Hoo, so ready for a vacation. Anyway I have been playing around with GIMP a free photo editing program and loving it. I have also been loving my new color printer that actually works. There is NO coloring medium on this. I used the paintbucket to do all of my coloring including changing the stars in this digital image from solid black to white. This alien image is part of a digital set called OUT OF THIS WORLD and will be released on March 17th from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE. I covered the helmet with some crystal effects. My focal image is popped up over bashful blue and certainly celery cs joined by some hot pink ribbon to covered the seam. The sentiment is one I created on GIMP after painting in the colors. I love how this turned out. Now off to work early again today. Hope I am not 6pm getting home again tonight. I hate long days at work. I have so many other things I would love to come home early and get done. Maybe today is the day.

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE #263 - Very Vintage. I bought this stamp last year and it has no name on it so I don't know where it came from but I love it. I distressed the edge of the circle shape then sponged with creamy caramel, close to cocoa and choc chip. My dp is Basic Gray's Indian Summer. The primas were colored with copics and topped with a button tied with gold cord for Thursday's STAMPIN' B'S CHALLENGE # 48 - Flowers & Button and all the flowers on the dp plus the primas also fit the CUPCAKE CRAFT CHALLENGE # 81 - Flower Power. Now off to work I go.

Sympathetic Touch Of Nature
This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER #161 - Vera. I was inspired by her FAUX BRADS. I left off the faux brads, hardware, changed the colors and layout. This bird image called to me especially after struggling over Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 222 - Ginko Papers until I found this darling PERCHED BIRD NOTEPAD and then it all fell in place. I needed a sympathy card that I had also been struggling to make but today it came together. My layout is from Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - Sketch Challenge. My color combo is from Wednesday's COPIC COLOUR CHALLENGE # 54 - BG15, B93, Y21. Love these together. I stamped the image in espresso on Paper Trey Ink vanilla cs then heat embossed clear detail ep. I colored with copics then sponged with creamy caramel then close to cocoa and matted on close to cocoa. My dp is from My Minds Eye paper pack. I used so saffron ribbon and under it is close to cocoa cs trimmed with a Martha Stewart border punch. My sentiment is from Warmest Regards and is stamped in espresso ink. This is for a co-worker who just had her husband of many years pass away. I hope she likes it.

Easter Chick Free Standing Pop Up
This is for today's FREE 4 ALL # 2 CHALLENGE - Free Standing Pop Up. My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 260 - Always Crushing Grays. I used a hint of gray for shadowing under the eggs but it is there. My base was made using some digital designer paper that will be released next Wednesday from TREEHOUSE STAMPS DIGITAL LINE and is paired with a set just released from Treehouse Stamps called Easter Chicks. I colored with copics. Tag was trimmed inside and out so that it became a frame. It is from Beary Birthday Digital set. I cut out a 2nd bow, colored and popped it up. The tag layer is matted on crushed curry. The sentiment is matted in crushed curry and always artichoke with the eggs free standing when the card is open. I had a hard time trying to get a pic of this thing closed. It will lay in a fold but it springs right back up. It will NOT lay flat and stay so I did the best I could. This will fold flat and fit in an envelope for mailing purposes. I love how this turned out.

THT039 Stars & Showers Baby Girl
This is for today's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 039 - Sketch. This sketch was designed by Marie Levine, one of the great talented ladies on the Treehouse Stamps design team. I used a recently released digital set called Stars and Showers from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Digital Line. This baby is just soo precious to me. I used GIMP to manipulate my digital images by having the digital design paper from Spring I Collection of Digital paper show inside of the star image. I printed this on photo paper for a shine then trimmed around the star and adhered it to the bluegreen cs that is a close match to the dp. Not such a close match on camera but it really is IRL. My image was colored with copics BG10, BG11, BG13, E50, E51, RV11, RV21, & RV23 then matted on the bluegreen cs. I attached a star brad in the right upper corner for balance. Come on play along with this fun sketch this week. Just include THT039 in your keywords.

Sweet Message
This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 270. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 260 - Always Crushing Basics and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 262 - Faux What? where we were to create a faux nestability. I used my score pal to score around the edges simulating the embossing effect of the Nestie Square die. My image is a Greeting Farm set that I bought from THE TREEHOUSE STAMPS STORE called Sweet Message. I love these little critters and I colored them with copics C3, C5, C7,E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, G24, G94, G99, Y13, Y15, & Y17. Betty and I both are loving some new My Minds Eye dp which is why she chose this weeks colors. I just happened to have picked up that stack Saturday at Michaels and I too LOVE it. Hope you do to.

Spring Bouquet of Sunflowers
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE # 260 - Always Crushing Basics. No desert on this one as I was trying to do another Faux Nestie and I bombed and gave up after my 3rd try of not succeeding. My layout is from today's MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE # 63. The stickles are for last Thursday's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE # 038 - Bling It On. I used more dp from My Minds Eye paper stack I recently purchased at my LSS. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this paper? My image is a recently released digital image from TREEHOUSE STAMPS - Digital Line. This image is from Spring Bouquet Digital Set. I love these flowers in this set. I colored my image with copics
C3, E34, E35, E37, G24, G94, G99, Y13, Y15, & Y17. I used some 1in wide grey ribbon across my base then folded some up and topped it off with a colored prima and button threaded with some gold cord. I love how this turned out.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Spring Bouquets, Treehouse Stamps Digital Line
Paper: white, always artichoke, basic gray, MME dp
Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals, copics, stickles, gold cord, button, prima
Techniques: copic coloring, 3D, digi's

Mr.Greengene's Mango Boy
This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Faux What? where we were to NOT use our fabulous Nesties (insert pout here) LOL but create our very own illussion instead by using other ways. Well I used my SU ticket corner punch and score pal to simulate the Nesties Labels 5 and used as my focal panel with this darling little boy image from Sugar Nellie called Mango Boy. Remember Mr. Greengenes from Capt Kangaroo show with his overalls. This is his grandson. LOL. The focal panel is up on dimensionals. I colored with copics E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, G20, G21, G21, G24, G85, G94, G99, Y21, Y23, Y26 & shaded with N1. All of the green is for this month's COPIC CREATIONS CHALLENGE # 23 - A Whee Bit of Green. My layout is from Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - Sketch Challenge. I used some My Minds Eye dp I just got Saturday and am so loving this pack I may have to go get another stack of it. My faux brads in the corners were made with the crop-a-dile largest hole punch and the yellow dp with round pop dots under them. My ribbon is green felt. Hope you like it.
