Rock-On Danny

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 310 - Heat Embossing on Dry Embossing. Well I apparently choose the wrong EF to try this on. LOL. I had such a time with the negative sections picking up the powder even though I did use the embossing buddy before I started.
This is also for today's CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE # 104 - Rock & Roll. I could not decide if I wanted to be inspired by the technique to rock-n-roll an image or the title associated with music so I went with the music. I made this for my SIL who has been in a band for a few years now and while I have been resistant to his determination to go to practice bc it takes 2 nights of time from his family, his band is finally begining to get signed for performances. Still not sure if I like that or not either but he is my daughters husband and I love her. So this will be his Father's Day card. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Rock N Roll
Paper: white, black
Ink: versamark, momento tuxedo black
Accessories: Allegro EF, Nesties Label 9, black embossing powder, cuttlebug
Techniques: Double Embossing, Heat Emboss, Dry Emboss, Heat Emboss over Dry Emboss

A CASE of Happy Pansies

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Tillymint. I chose to CASE her FRIENDS ARE LIKE FLOWERS and left off the bordered edge, changed the colors and flower type and used double embossing rather than just around the image.
This is also for Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 269 - Rooms by Zoya where I just loved this fabric of PARADISE OF FLOWERS.
I used a Pansy flower set from MARKS FINEST PAPERS called "Happy Pansies" and stamped the flower in Elegant Eggplant then the sentiment in riding hood red and shadowed around the flower with copic matches for soft suede for Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 307 - Soft Elegant Rides. These warm colors also fit Friday's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 49 - Warm Fuzzies.
This CAS creation took much longer than I care to admit as I have always had a difficult time with double embossing but I am determined to reverse that trend by persistance. LOL.
After coloring the pansie I added some copic glitter pen color and a half pearl in the center.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Happy Pansies - MFP
Paper: white
Ink: elegant eggplant, riding hood red
Accessories: copics, copic glitter pen, half pearl, Nesties label 9, Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder
Techniques: Double Embossing

Warm & Fuzzy Bunny

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 49 - Warm and Fuzzy which is what I WISHED I was feeling. I too and so tired of these extremely low temps for this area.
I used Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 317 for my layout and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 307 - Soft Elegant Rides for my color combo.
My image and sentiment are from this months release by MARKS FINEST PAPERS called "IN THE FOREST". Now I ask you, how much warmer and fuzzier can a bunny be? LOL.
Off to work now and then picking up my grandson for an overnighter with his Papa and some fishing he is hoping for.
RECIPE:
Stamps: In The Forest - MFP
Paper: white, elegant eggplant, riding hood red, DCWV Sweet Glitter stack
Ink: Soft Suede, riding hood red
Accessories: buttons, ribbons, copic, sponges
Techniques: sponge distressing, 3D

Little Dreamer

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 317 and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 307 - Soft Elegant Rides. I did not get to play Tuesday because of an early day at work so I just had to do these together hard as it is for me. LOL.
I decided to NOT use any embossing folders on this one so that the main image remained the focus. She is just toooo stinkin' cute and I had to have this new set from The Greeting Farm called "Little Dreamers". I stamped the image in Momento Tuxedo Black twice then colored with copics. I cut out the head and popped it up on panel 4A. My dp for panel 2 is from DCWV Glitter Sweet matstack. I used my Quickutz photo tabs and brads to hold the sentiment and glued some red gems on panel 4B.
Hope you like it. Now off to work.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Little Dreamer - TGF
Paper: white, riding hood red, elegant eggplant, soft suede, DCWV dp
Ink: momento tuxedo black, riding hood red
Accessories: gems, copics, Quickutz photo tabs
Techniques: copic coloring, 3D

Faux Tiles In The Forest

This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 309 - Faux Tile. I had to use the UTEE option as I do not have 2hrs drying time available. I really like how this turned out using that option anyway.
I believe you just can not have enough masculine cards on hand.
I used last Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 316.
My color combo is from last Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 306 - Bravo Pizzazz Breezes.
My image is from MARKS FINEST PAPERS. I stamped the focal image in Ranger Espresso ink then sponged with baja breeze and pear pizzazz. Then added some depth and coloring with copic markers. My tiles were matted on vanilla then bravo burgandy.
I used pear pizzazz trimmed with my Fiskars tree border punch then a strip of baja breeze over that and tied 2 strings of hemp around them.
My sentiment was stamped in bravo burgandy. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: In The Forest - MFP
Paper: vanilla, bravo burgandy, baja breeze, pear pizzazz
Ink: espresso, bravo burgandy, pear pizzazz, baja breeze
Accessories: hemp, UTEE, heat gun, sponges
Techniques: faux tile, heat embossing

Barbie Inspired Wedding

This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 268 - Barbie. Now I typically am tooo tired or busy on Saturday to play but today I was in the mood. I just got this brand new set from The Greeting Farm called "I Do" and could not resist inking it up.
I found my inspiration from this BRIDAL BARBIE and this PEPPERMINT OBSESSION combined to make this one. I used some riding hood red cs and my fiskars heart border punch. I colored with copics, cut it out and popped it up.
My layout is from today's CLUB ANYA & FRIENDS SATURDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE. Hope you like it. My hubby is taking me on a date today for dinner and a movie. Ohh I can't wait.
RECIPE:
Stamps: I Do - TGF
Paper: white, rose red

Thinking of You

This is for today's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE - Tell Me About It Stud;
Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Gradient;
Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 316;
Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 306 - Bravo PIzzazz Breezes; and
Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 308 - Silhouettes.
I used 2 sets from MARKS FINEST PAPERS called A Walk In The Woods, and Family Tree. Both gorgeous sets worked together for this reminder to give something that I am thinking about them. See my blog for the inside. It could also double as a sympathy card.
I did a lot of distress sponging on the edges to tone down the brightness. Here is a look at the inside:

Now back to work and to visit Jayley whom we HOPE is going home today.
RECIPE:
Stamps: A Walk In The Woods, Family Tree - MFP
Paper: white, vanilla, bravo burgandy, baja breeze, pear pizzazz, BG Marjolaine dp

Thoughts of Warmest Regards

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 306 - Gradient where I used my SU markers begining at the bottom of the tree image with pear pizzazz then bravo burgandy and top with baja breeze. I stamped this on white then cut and embossed used Nesties Label 4. While the nestie was still in place I sponged some Ranger Antique Linen ink to tone the white down. The die cut is for today's STAMPIN' B'S CHALLENGE # 94 - Die Cuts.
My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 316 and my color combo is Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 306 - Bravo Pizzazz Breezes.
The image is a silhouette image for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 308 - Silhouettes.
I have almost depleted my stash of sympathy cards and need to replenish them so this was perfect for that opportunity.
My dp is from Basic Grey's Curio stack after trimming the size I needed I distressed the 2 edges with Ranger Antique Linen and Tea Dye then black to make them look like the original edges all around.
I sponged the edges of the baja breeze and pear pizzazz panels. The sentiment from warmest regards was stamped in bravo burgandy. I tied a burgandy ribbon around the baja breeze panel.

Now as I was taking my photo the phone rang and my youngest daughter was calling to tell my her baby (Jaylen 2 1/2yr) was admitted at 2am. I growled at her bc she was just calling at 7am to tell me this. So in my rush I failed to take a pic of the inside which I think is just as pretty as the outside.
I stamped a sentiment in bravo burgandy then after stamping off I stamped the tree again over the sentiment.

I finally got a pic later tonight when things settled better.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers, Warmest Regards
Paper: white, vanilla, baja breeze, pear pizzazz, BG Curio dp
Ink: momento tuxedo black, Ranger Antique Linen & Tea Dye, Bravo burgandy, pear pizzazz, baja breeze
Accessories: ribbon, dimensionals, Nesties Lable 4, sponges

Sew What's New With You?

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 316, Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 306 - Bravo Pizzazz Breezes and Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 308 - Silhouettes.
Today I choose a set just released this month from MARKS FINEST PAPERS called SEW WHAT? and paired it up with another sheet of dp from American Crafts Craft Fair stack.
I stamped the image in momento tuxedo on white then the skirt portion in baja breez, bravo burgandy and pear pizzazz. I cut various sections of the skirt out in these 3 colors and adhered them to the full image. I used some burgandy ribbon to cover the seam then cut the entire image out (now let me tell you those swirls were fun) Shannon would never have attempted that. LOL. oops sorry I didn't mean to let everyone know how much she does NOT like to cut things out.
I got so tickled at her a few yrs back when we went to Faith's very 1st stampin' retreat, she growled at her for all different projects that had to be cut out. OK off to work now after a cup of coffee.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Sew What - MFP
Paper: white, baja breeze, bravo burgandy, pear pizzazz, Craft Fair dp
Ink: momento black, bravo burgandy, baja breeze
Accessories: dimensionals
Techniques: paper piecing

I changed the layout, colors and theme by using this brand new just released darling set from MARKS FINEST PAPERS called SEW WHAT?
I stamped the spool of thread in Momento Cantelope then colored with copics. I cut it out and adhered the threaded needle to the spool. This is attached to pretty in pink cs cut in an oval shape with my Fiskars oval punch. The yellow cs was cut and embossed with Nesties Beaded Oval then I colored just the beaded tops with BG15 but it ended up turning a green color :(
I tied some so saffron ribbon across. The bottom panel is white cs stamped in riding hood red, old olvie, pretty in pink and bermuda bay with the thimble then I colored with coordinating copics.
My layout is from Saturday's OUR CREATIVE CORNER Sketch. The sentiment was stamped in riding hood red then matted on pretty in pink.

Hearts and Hemp

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALELNGE # 205 - UKJem. I chose to CASE her SC169 card. I changed the laylout and colors, used a different image, and omitted the doodling.
I did dry emboss and heat emboss for Saturday's SPEEDY THE CAT CHALLENGE # 37 - Embossing. I was also inspired by this HEART ZIPPER PULL from Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 266 - Stephen Joseph Gifts.
My color combo and hearts are for Friday's FREE 4 ALL CHALLENGE # 46 - Candy Colored Hearts.
The pink twine wrapped around the Perfect Plum cs is for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE # 46 - Feeling Twin.
My layout is from Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE # 314.
I stamped the hearts on the left and right in Pretty in Pink on pink pirouette cs. The one in the center was stamped in Pretty in Pink craft ink then heat embossed with clear detail. I then colored the open flower images with a copic marker and followed that with some stickles for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE # 306 - Stickles Painting. I cut it out and popped it up between the other hearts.
My images and sentiments are from a set released last month from MARKS FINEST PAPERS and it is a perfect set for Valentine's day.
And keeping my NY Resolution I stamped the inside, back and the front and back of the envelope. Whoo Hoo. Hope you like it.

My color combo is from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE # 304 - Red, White, Silver/Gray. I covered panel 2 with some tin foil then embossed it with Cuttlebug Stars folder.
