Coctails Cheers To You - FAVORITE LISTING

UPDATE 4/5- This card made it in the FAVORITES forum at SCS. Am I tickled, oh YEAH!

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pink Chocolate Hoods and for my layout I used Saturday's PAPER CRAFT PLANET SKETCH. I love this layout bc it is CAS, which is my style. I just realized I did forget the 3 brads, oooppps. Oh well. My base is choc chip matted with riding hood red. My image was stamped in black brilliance, colored with copics and topped with crystal effects. It left just a bit of a bubble in a couple of places which looks really kewl IRL. I have layered my main image with PP, RHR, and CC then popped it up. My strip is pink pirouette layered with choc chip ribbon I got from Ashley Bowen, owner of Treehouse Stamp Company, in a gift pack last year when I had the pleasure of meeting her. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Cheers To You
Paper: White, Choc Chip, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red,

Never Ending Garden Whimsy

This is for today's not so easy TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Never Ending Card. I was searching through my 12x12 dp and ran across a sheet that has olive & baja breeze in it. Where was this dp last week? Anyway I decided to use it and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pretty Kiwi Breezes one more time. I trashed 3 different cuttings attempting this. I think my paper trimmer is defected. My ends just would not meet and when I trimmed I ended up with huge wholes in the center after opening folds. gggrrrrr. Anyway I wanted to use something other than just white cs so I used this dp and sponged the white sides with baja breeze. I stamped ontop of the dp (was not sure how layering would affect the folding). Not really happy with this but I did it. NOT a TLC I plan to do all week. LOL.This is the frontThis is the front openedThis is the open view of the next foldThis is the last fold
RECIPE:
Stamps: Garden Whimsy
Paper: MME dp
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze, Sage Shadow, Old Olive

CASEing Cat On A Dress

Whoo Hoo and a big shout out to Michelle. Congrats to ya gurl. So deserving. This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - JustPaintingAround (aka Michelle). I have been a devoted fan of Michelle's since joining SCS. I love everything in her gallery but a recent upload by her has had me drooling. Of course mine does not even compare but it is my attempt anyways at CASEing her FINALLY CARD. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pretty Kiwi Breezes for my color combo. I hand drew my hardwood floor which we have in our house. I love hardwood floors. So easy to take care of. The wallpaper is from Nature's Garden paper pack I picked up on mine and Shannon's last shopping spree. The sentiment is doubling as a hanging picture. The image is from Stamps Away called "Cat On A Dress" and can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. I just loved this image when Ashley added it to her new line. I love cats and this would be a typical thing for a cat to do. I colored the floor and the image with copics. I am also stuck in the 1800's and think the dresses back then were just gorgeous. Hope I did Michelle's creation justice.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Cat On Dress, Treehouse Stamps
Paper: white, Nature's Garden, Pretty In Pink, Old Olive
Ink: Black Brilliance, Old Olive
Accessories: copics

Inspired To Count Your Kisses Mom

This is for today's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Glenda Mosher Art. OMGosh what a wonderful art gallery she has. I chose the Tiger Lily on the right side bar marked as sold for my inspiration to make this card. My Mom has passed away and I have alread made a card to give to my MIL but I do have 2 daughters and a daughter in law that I can give cards to so I made this for one of them. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pretty Kiwi Breezes for my colors and Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE for my layout. Not only did I use 3 challenges from this week today but I also used 3 different stamp sets recently released from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. Count Your Blessings, Butterfly Kisses, and My Mom are the sets I used. They are all just wonderful sets and I love how I can use parts of each one to make 1 card. My image was stamped in black brilliance on wc paper then I water colored which I have not done in awhile. I used SU wc crayons for coloring. The butterflies are from a MS punch with 2 sizes. My matt for my focal image was cut and embossed using Nestibility rectangle scallop. I tried doing to same with the wc paper only to find that it did not emboss so well and my matt ended up toooo big so I trimmed both down. Hope you like it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Count Your Blessings, Butterfly Kisses, My Mom - Treeshouse Stamps
Paper: water color, white, pretty in pink, baja breeze, kiwi kiss
Ink: black brilliance
Accessories: water color crayons, wc brushes, MS punch, diamond accent, ribbon

Happy Friday all. This is for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Out Like A Lamb. Man talk about limits, but a fun challenge nevertheless. I stuck to the rules so the challenge police would not get me today. LOL. But I had to combine some other kewl challenges with this one since this weeks CC would land me in jail so for my layout I chose a sketch from STAMPS AND SMILES Sketch #8 and I made used striped dp and made a dotted background for Sharon's STAMP SIMPLY #80 - Stipes and Dots. I stamped the lamb in basic black then sponged the edges and matted on black. My polka dot layer was stamped in basic black. I even used some black with white dots ribbon. Yahhooo! Hope ya like it as much as I do.

High Hopes Princess Girl

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Heat It Up. I used some fibers I bought up in north GA 2 yrs ago on a business adventure. You stamp your image with a pigment ink, layer with the fibers, then parchment paper and heat with an iron. I even bought one of their tiny irons to use. They are just adorable. I also love these fibers. This is only the 2nd time I used it. Bad Me! For my colors I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pretty Kiwi Breezes. For my layout I used the OCCCHALLENGE - Sketch. I love this layout. I got some goodies a few weeks ago from High Hopes and this little princess, tierra, and seepter was in my goody bag. I just love these images. I have a granddaughter turning 7 this year and she is convienced that she is a queen, totally skipped the princess level (LOL), she will love this birthday card. Hope you do too.

Eastern Bloom Holiday

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE and I used the colors from Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pretty Kiwi Breezes for my color combo. My focal image is stamped after being inked up with SU markers then huffed on white cs. I stamped the image again on pretty in pink and baja breeze and cut out a few of the flowers. I can not find any prima's small enough to go on this image. Shannon would have had a fit trying to cut these tiny flowers out. LOL. Anyway they are popped up and then I applied stickles. I stamped one of the flowers from the set onto kiwi kiss with kiwi kiss ink for panel 3, panel 2 is pretty in pink pattern paper. My base is white layered with baja breeze that I ran through the cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. My sentiment is stamped in baja breeze and is from All Holidays. I am giving this to a co-worker who is having a BD Saturday after I get it signed by her peers. She is always so grateful to get my handmade cards.

Bloomin' Beautiful CASE

Well I took Monday off from work so we could go fishing but the winds and temperatures curtailed that trip so I stayed home anyway to finish out our 10th Anniversary weekend. We have had a wonderful weekend. We went to Calico Craft fair Saturday, church Sunday and just layzed around Monday until his dad called and was headed to the Doctor with gastroenteritis he got from Mom who had been sick all night and we had no idea. So his afternoon was spent driving dad to the doctor then the pharmacy. They were much better by last night sy 9pm after I went to the store loading them up with gatorade and soup. Now onto todays challenges at SCS.
This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pretty Kiwi Breezes and Sunday's FEATURED STAMPER - Beate. This time I picked Beate's beautiful GUAVA ROSE to CASE. I left off the brads, changed the colors for today''s CC and for my layout I used MONDAY''S MOJO #79 sketch challenge. I colored my rose 1st with Prismacolor pencils blending with Gamsol then highlighted the darker areas with my SU Marker. I cut out a portion of the front from the 2nd stamped image that was colored and popped it up. The ribbon is some Shannon shared with me from a past order. I got this kewl Fiskars border punch last week during our shopping spree we went on and have been dying to use it. I love these new border punches, They fold flat for storage and since I am obsessed with punches and have limited storage space, I really love them. LOL. How did I do?
RECIPE:
Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful
Paper: Baja Breeze, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Old Olive PP
Ink: Black Brilliance, pretty in pink
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, gamsol blending medium, blending stumps, ribbon, dimensionals

Treat Basket

Well I was not at all happy with my 1st attempt at this so I will have to try again maybe later today. Just no MOJO. This plain and blah treat basket is for today's TECHNQIUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Mini Easter Basket. I used some CS and DP I have had for yrs that I got at Michaels. The base is the same as the border trim. I attached my handle on the ends for stability. I finally found some Robin Eggs, YEA! Maybe my Mojo will creep in later today. If not see everyone tomorrow for the CC. LOL

Well I decided to try another one of today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Mini Easter Basket. I think I like this one better. I used a stamp from All Holidays and used my quickutz balloon punch to match the balloons on the liner dp. The balloons are popped up on a giga scallop oval punched piece of the cs I used as my base. I may consider making these in black and white for my dh 50th birthday celebration in August.
RECIPE:
Stamps: All Holidays
Ink: ballet blue
Accessories: Giga oval scallop, quickutz balloon

Basic Pun Fun

This is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Beate. I spent 2hrs drooling through her gallery. You remember that lays catchy phrase "betcha can't eat just 1" well I found a new one "betcha can't find just 1". I have 10 saved to pick from. Most all of her uploads have been favorited more times than the number of comments on any in my gallery. WOW! I have admired Beate since I started here on SCS. Hard as it was I finally ended up chosing her ROCKET MAN for my 1st CASE. There will be more I am sure. I changed the colors, left off the ribbon, photo corners and paper piercing. I kept the card style as I have not made one like that in a while. The inside is stamped with the star image from basic background set in old olive. I stamped the rocket in black brilliance then colored with Copic. The view window is a black eyelet. I used my C1,C3,C5 copics for the smoke from the rocket. I applied stickles to the design around the rocket. Punched the large star with the same cs as my base and the smaller one with old olive 2 times. Mounted 1 on top the large star and attached a white star brad to the center of the other. I will give this to my grandson on his 1st birthday in May. I hope he likes it.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Pun Fun, Basic Backgrounds
Paper: Old Olive, Navy (Non SU), white
Ink: black brilliance, old olive
Accessories: white star brad, black eyelet, large and small star punches, stickles

Happy Saturday, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We are taking the entire weekend to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. WOW time flies. 10th Wedding Anniversary

Well today we are celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. I still can not believe he has let me hang out with him for 10yrs. LOL. He is a dream come true. Believe it or not we have NEVER had a real fight. We have had a few heated discussions but never fought like some couples do. He is my very best friend and we both love being with each other and just do not want to do things apart, well except stampin'. I have not yet got him hooked on stampin with me. He does go shopping to the LSS and browses through the stamp section. He has even been known to pick up a stamp and suggest I get it.
I may be back later today with the WT Challenge, heading off to work and if it goes like Thursday, I may not get home until after 8pm tonight. BAD day at work. I think we set a record of 5 active CODES (patients in critical condition hanging between life and death) going on at the same time. I ended up in ICU after 2pm taking care of a baby that was just darling.
Hope your 1st day of Spring is a blast.

Wedding Day Bliss

This is for today's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Stuck On You and for my layout I went with Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE again. I went rummaging through my folders of stickers -which I seldom use, so thanks for today's challenge, and found this pack of Wedding Embellishments from Keepsake I picked up yrs ago at Dollar General and went from there. I cut my 5 strips of vanilla then ran them through the cuttlebug Textile folder. I found some textured copper cs from a metallic paper pack I had and used it as my matt for the base and the focal image. I was trying to match the colored flowers on the cake as best I could and creamy caramel won. The focal image is up on dimensionals. See my blog for a pic of the inside where I placed the boquette sticker. These are just gorgeous and I left off ribbon to avoid taking away from the stickers. My only stamp on this is from my brand new All Holidays set I just got from SU. Have a great Thursday, now I have to head to work so I can buy more stickers and stuff :0. LOL.
RECIPE:
Stamps: All Holidays
Paper: Close To Cocoa, Making Memories Metallic CS, Vanilla,

Something Yummy For You

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE. I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Krafty Riding Sun for my color combo and went way back to last year for my 5 small panels to do the TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Cuttlebug, the Negative Effect. Messy as it is I love the TLC and have used it in a while. I iniked the Birds & Swirls folder with riding hood red ink and ran kraft cs through the folder. I just got this Yummy new set from SU and had to get it dirty. I see a lot of cards with the sentiment as the focus and I have never been very good at that so I am giving it another shot. I just love the flourish in this stamp. The sentiment was stamped in riding hood red then sponged the edges after trimming oppposite corners with a corner punch. I also am not very good at adding primas to my projects so I am trying to get better at that too. I colored the primas with copics, punched a small dot of riding hood red cs and attached under the clear dew drop in the center. I used some stickles to trace the flourish. Bare with me as I try to grow as a stamper. So how did I do? I really would love to know.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Yummy
Paper: Black, vanilla, riding hood red, kraft
Ink: riding hood red, summer sun
Accessories: crop-a-dile, stickles, primas, ribbon, corner punch, copics, cuttlebug, birds & swirls folder
Techniques: Cuttlebug - The Negative Effect

This cute little fisherman is just adorable. and his shirt and the dp sorta match. Both the set and the dp can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. The set is under "Stamps and Accessories -The Greeting Farm section and the paper can be found under Paper and Cardstock - Imaginisce section. I matted the image and the card base are both on kraft cs. My ribbon is some I picked up at WalMart one day. Hope you like it. I will hang on to this to give to a guy getting married or I could give it to my dh since Friday is our 10th Anniversary. LOL.

Out West CASE

I was so happy to see a cyber friend of mine featured to. Stacy is just a sweet person. YAH STACY!!. When I first meet her on this site she was uploading a set from CTMH that of course I just had to buy. So this is for today's FEATURED STAMPER - Twinshappy (aka Stacy). She taunted me with her uploads of this set until I broke and bought it so I thought it only fitting to use it today as a tribute and reminder. I chose her GIDDY UP card to CASE. I used the same style of paper but changed the colors, I also changed the layout by using Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE and punched some daisies instead of using primas. I left of the hardware and ribbon bc I could not figure out how to incorporate them. I embossed the boots & hat with pixie pink craft ink using super fine embossing powder. Then I colored the bottom of the boots and hat with a copic marker. The corner was stamped with Pixie pink on green galore. The hat is cut out and popped up. I am still loving this set.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Out West - Close To My Heart STamps
Paper: Making Memories dp, Green Galore, Pixie Pink

Green Birthday Cupcake Treat Purse

Well this started out as a project for today's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Bug Me and as I was ready to load I reread to make sure I was within the challenge and guess what, NOT! as this was to "make a card" and I have to get to work so no time to redo. I will have to do another one later tonight but for now I emailed Jeanne the challenge host and she said, leave it like it is, I love projects. What I did was remove the cupcake image from my Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Treat Purse and restamped another image clearly needing more practice at the frosting technique. Well I still do need more practice at it but this is a little better and no where near as heavy as the 1st attempt. I added a bit of water to my mix still available and thinned it out a bit too much I think. Oh well. Nothing like practice or recycling for Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT - Go Green. I applied some liquid pearl ex to the candle and heated it as well. WOW, it bubbled and gave me a melted candle wax look. Love that. My butterfly was for my bug and it is stamped in rose red then rolled in artichoke ink, stamped, cut out and attached. I also added a couple of rhinestones. For the treat, well I eat very little sweets, I know you can not believe that, but it is true. I have a couple of weaknesses though, and one of them is the candy coated malted milk balls this time of year. Yea well I can not find any this yr. Who stole them all, the Easster bunny, LOL? I found a bag full of speckled eggs and went "YEH!" then read and they were bubble gum. YUK!, got them anyway so that is what is in the bag. Grands will love that right? I used Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Black Rose Artichokes. All images can be found at TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY store. Have a wonderful weekend.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Birtthday Cupcake, Butterfly Kisses - Treehouse Stamp Co
Paper: Always Artichoke, black, rose red
Ink: black brilliance, rose red, always artichoke

My dh just got over the flu and I think I know where it went. I had to get to work anyway so not alot of time. I colored this lily Sunday while Shannon was over here during our playtime.LOL. The image was stamped with Black brilliance then colored with copics. The sentiment was stamped in black brilliance then covered with clear detail EP and heat embossed. I is just too weird to see a drawing on rubber where anyone can use it. My layout comes from this weeks Timeless Tuesday's Challenge from Flourishes. I love this layout. I used some always artichoke dp for my base matted on black. My image is stamped in black brilliance and heat embosed with clear detail EP. I colored my image with SU markers and my blender pen. Birthday Cupcake Sneak Peek Treat Purse

This is for today's COLOR CHALLENGE - Black Rose Artichoke. I did another treat purse for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Treat Purse and doodled around the white layered scallop circle for this weeks OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE - Doodling. These little treat purses are quick, easy and so cute. I ran my artichoke cs through the CB swiss dots folder. Punched out a black giga scallop circle and a white mega scallop circle which can be found at Treehouse Stamp Co. My main image was stamped in black brilliance then I attempted something I found on here several weeks ago and am just getting around to. Frosting/Snow. My main image was stamped in black brilliance then I attempted something I found on here several weeks ago and am just getting around to. Frosting/Snow. You can view the video tutorial on Donna's Blog at BUTTERNUTSAGE TUTORIALS, thanks Donna. She really has some great tutorials. I don't think it turned out quite as I expected but you mix equal amts of plain flour and salt then enough water to make a glue consistancy. Dry with the heating tool from the back then the front and it it suppose to bubble up. I am not sure if I put too much on the icing part or what but man talk about top heavy, LOL. Anyway I am ok with how it turned out I guess. My image and sentiment are from a new set being released Friday from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY. I used the MS dripping border punch with rose red cs to simulate drippy icing. Hope you like it

Miracle From Above

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE combined with Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Pink Chocolate Kiwi but I used Old Olive since my stack of kiwi is depleting and some dark brown I have since my Choc Chip is getting low until I can place an order. I have a couple of dear friends who have recently discovered the addition of a new family member to their households and this is for one of them. I am still working on one for the other friend. I used a set from H & M STAMP COMPANY called Miracle From Above which was 1 of my all time fav sets to get to play with while on their design team. I just love these adorable images. I paper pieced Mom's shirt and colored the rest of the image with my severly neglected prismacolor pencils. I have dust collecting on them since I have started using Copic markers :0 and they were in need of some luvin' today. The dp is from MME Tango Expressions pack. Hope you like it.

I probably should not have stamped today but I did so this is for COLOR CHALLENGE - Pink Chocolate Kiwi and I made another for Monday's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Crimped Envelope Pocket Card. I saw some samples in the gallery Monday and was so inspired to try my hand at it cutting the center out. I used some clear acetate over the opening. I used my brand new Close To My Heart set called Cupcake Sprinkles. I decided to not sponge the edges of the outside or inside tday. I just am not at all happy with this today but I made it so I loaded it.

Count Your Blessings Crimped Envelope Pocket Card

I think I hurt my tiny brain yesturday when I packed 6 challenges together so I am taking a break today with just 1 really fun and much needed challenge LOL. It has been awhile since I did one of these. Thanks Lynn. This is for today's TECHNIQUE LOVERS CHALLENGE - Crimped Envelope Pocket Card. I used a set recently released from TREEHOUSE STAMP COMPANY called Count Your Blessings. My envelope was stamped with regal rose then sponged with old olive. I stamped the cross with pale plum then used rock and roll to pick up some perfect plum and still sponged some perfect plum along the sides after cutting it out. I draped some purple satin ribbon around the cross and popped it up. The sentiment is stamped with both plums and R&R as well. The insert is stamped in regal rose and perfect plum then sponged with perfect plum. I made this for my youngest daughter who so desparetly needs to return to her spiritual upbringing. I was a single mom during both my girls teens and did the best I could but sometimes I feel like I failed them mirerably by note trying to find a good christian man to help me raise them. You know when you get burned real bad you just tend to stay out of the fire. 11 1/2 yrs is all it too me and by then they were both almost grown. Oh well just help me pray for her that she will once again find the GOD of all peace.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Count Your Blessings, Treehouse Stamps
Paper: Envelope, white, perfect plum
Ink: perfect plum, pale plum, old olive, regal rose
Accessories: ribbon, MS fern punch, oval punches, MS dove punch
Techniques: Crimped Envelope Pocket Card, Distress Sponging, diminsional

Eastern Blooms

I think Jessie is on the mend and we may try to go out to eat today since I am sure he is tired of my cooking. I do not like to cook that well. He is supposed to be able to return to work tomorrow so we are going to get out and move around to help rebuild the strength he will need for a 12 hr shitf. Thank goodness he only works 1 day then off 2 before he returns to his normal schedule. So happy for today's spotlight on someone I actually know. Congrats Kelly ! Yeah for you gal. Enjoy your day in the spotlight. I made this using all of this weeks challenges except Monday's. Sorry Lynn but not way to create your own background from 1 stamp set using rubberbands. So this is for:Today's FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE - Kelly H. I CASED her ANOTHER WILD ONE card changing the layout, colors, replaced ribbon for brads in the flower centers.Saturday's INSPIRATION CHALLENGE - Room Service Home where I found my inspiration today from these CHERRY BLOSSOM PILLOWS to make my own background for Friday's LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE - Designer Series Paper. Thursday's WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE - Frugal Finds well I could use this every day but today I realized another way that I trim costs. This set was given to me by Stampin Up company for participating in their survey. FREE RUBBAH! also I have never purchased any diminsionals as I mentioned in Thursday's post and so I am running low on a stack I got at a stamping retreat last year. So you know that sections between the dots, welll it works just as good as the dots themselves and I have been using it when I can, today was a can day. TeeHee.Wednesday's SKETCH CHALLENGE gave me my layout and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE - Summer Kiwi Pies yeilded my color combo since I am just lovin' these colors.
