Split Citrus Image

This is for today's Technique Lovers Challenge to do a non B&W SPLIT NEGATIVE. This was my very 1st attempt at this technique and I clearly need MORE practice. NOT at all happy with this attempt but it was fun to try. I cut 2 white sheets then stamped them both alike as much as possble in 2 different inks. I used Versa magic Key Lime and Mango Madness Dew Drops then heat embossed them with Clear Detail EP. Layed them on top of each and made my cut in the center. That was when I found out I did not get the full slice image centered, eeekkk. I stamped the cocconut drink from MFT in Close to Cocoa and colored it with SU Markers. I tied some ribbon on the side and gave up. Oh well there is always tomorrow... :(
RECIPE:
Stamps: Citrus & Such, So Many Sayings, My Favorite Things Hit The Beach,
Ink: Versa mark Dew Drops Key Lime & Mango Madness
Accessories: Clear Detail Emblossing Powder, Ribbon
Techniques: Split Negative

This is my 2nd attempt after being inspired by luvn2stamp's Sending You Love. My 1st attempt at today's technique to do SPLIT NEGATIVE W/a TWIST was such a disaster I decided to try again. Not much better so I still need MORE practice. DH is rolling his eyes at me.This was designed using Quickutz Revolutions Cookie Cutters lg Heart then I ran them through the cuttlebug using the Swirl folder and cut them in the middle. I distressed the top of the pink w/Regal Rose and the red w/White Craft ink. Attached a narrow pink ribbon in the center to cover where the 2 join. I popped the sides up and glued the bottom to make a Valentine Candy holder. There are 2 nuggets inside. The small heart is stamped in regal rose and cut out then popped up.
RECIPE:
Stamps: Sweet Talk
Paper: red, Doodlebug designer paper -Love letters
Ink: regal rose, white craft ink
Accessories: Cuttlebug Swirl, Quickutz, Revolution Cookie Cutters Heart

DT's are setting in

OK, today is my 2nd day of not being able to do the SCS Challenges and I am starting to see pink elephants on the ceilings, big spiders crawling on the walls, and my hands do not feel like they are attached any longer. I have the DT's from not stampin' :(.
My daughter has my vehicle sincer her's decided to die on the road Saturday. I went looking yesturday and was so hopeful but NOT to what I found, so I am still looking. With no way to go except w/hubby I have to come to work with him at 6:15 AM. I usually say GB to him and go to my playroom as he goes out the door. Then I come to work after some serious stampin' therapy. Today Iam going home early to catch up on the last 2 days of challenges and get some MUCH needed therapy in. Hope to find her a way to go real soon.

Jolie's Smelling the Flowers

This is for today's Sketch Challenge, Tuesday's Color Challenge, and Sunday's Featured Stamper Challenge. I had a difficult time deciding which 1 of Crissy's cards to CASE especially once my HH order arrived Monday so I am doing a 2nd one. I chose her SMELL THE FLOWERS this time. Had to dirty this one soon. I was having psychotic episodes.lol. I changed the colors to match the CC, the layout to match the sketch and had to hand write the sentiment bc I forgot to order that one:( This is really shiny IRL. Check out my blog for a closer view. The image is stamped in black stazon then colored w/Prisma's and blended w/Gamsol. The grass and daisies are popped up. The bottom of the card is sponged w/green galore. The edges of the daisies are distressed with a light touch of brown and centers are colored lightly w/brown. It is a neutral so I hope it is OK. I really wanted to sponge a sky with blue but I know it is not neutral and would not fly.heehee. Don't want the police to get me this close to New Years. I am going fishing with DH. Hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas Day. Work begins again today and will take me all day long to catch up on work since Friday. I am not sure it is worth being off :(

Simply Baroque

This is for today's Limited Supply Challenge to SIMPLIFY IT!. Well sometimes I think my creations are too simple but I am playing along. I used my card from Yesturday BAROQUE SCRIPTS since it was readily available but this pic is showing the paper darker than yesturday's. I removed the saffron pallet of prints with paper piercing and faux stitching and replaced it with plain so saffron cs. I left my wasabi circles in the same place but this time popped up my 3 images and placed then differently (I think I like them better straight across but still popped up. I also removed the ribbon. Hope I played along by the rules. If not please consider Christmas is next week,, my grandbabies will miss their Nana if I go to jail.teehee

Triple Play Baroque Scripts

This is a Triple Challenge Play. When I saw the sketch on Wednesday I had 2 things in mind. This was my 2nd option so I went with it until todays challenge is loaded. Just can't stamp without one.lol. Besides I borrowed this set from Shannon so I needed to use and return it just needed some inspiration on when and what to use it on.
Monday's Technique Lovers Challenge of Dazzle, Tuesday's Color Challenge, & Wednesday's Sketch Challenge.I stamped the big swirl from the set in So Saffron on So Saffron CS and matted it on wild wasabi CS. I stamped 2 of the florals in Elegant eggplant and 1 in Wild Wasabi. Then applied Iradesant Ice glitter in the open areas with a 2way glue pen. Glue a gem in the center and cut them out. They are matted along with 2 wasabie circles on so saffron pallet of prints which is paper pierced then faux stitching done with eggplant marker and matted on eggplant cs. I tied a knot and attached it to my ribbon then cut the layered oval nameplate from quickutz and stamped the sentiment from Small Scripts in wasabi and distressed the edge. This has a really big shine IRL to it. Pictures do not always do justice.

Rest in Peace CharlIe & Britney - Upadate 11/30

OK we went to bed last night at 10pm and at 10:45 were awakened to what sounded like an army on the back porch fighting. We got up and by the time my husband got some clothes on to go outside the noise was gone. Walking out on the porch we found Charlie near death's door, bleeding and barely breathing with what looked like a broken neck. Jessie said he could not make it out but it looked like a white dog running off in the woods. We still have 2 other cats that are presently unaccounted for, Britney (Charlies Mom) that is too old and feeble to fight off a big dog, and Socks who is young and frisky and has not been home during the night lately. I think he is courting someone. This morning will involve searching through the woods behind the house for cats and then calling the human society to come find this pack of wild dogs that did this. By the sound of the barks in the woods last night there were at least 2 maybe 3.
Britney was found this morning on my way to work laying in the front yard with frost all over her. Jessia found a whole in her chest and thought it might have been from a gunshot. I am hoping that is not true because that would mean someone shot her in our yard aiming at our house. Charlie & Britney will be buried in the pet cemetry where the other animals have been placed My 48 yr old husband cried for 30 min last night. Britney was saved from the animal shelter 11 yrs ago or more and she was carring a litter at the time. Charlie was one of the litter and they will be greatly missed around here. Socks is still alive and well, guess sometimes tomcatting can pay off if your not around when trouble happens.

Update 11/30
Yee Haw , I got home from work today and nothing in the trap. Went upstairs to put some things away and 1 hr later when I came downstairs there was a dark brown dog in the trap. This is not the same brown dog that I am hoping to trap but nevertheless a dog running wild. The human society will pick her up tomorrow, reset the trap Monday and we will see how many more we get. So far we have trapped 3 dogs running wild in our yard.

Holy Triptych Christmas

One more Christmas card done. For this one I used today's Sketch Challenge combined with Tuesday's color challenge Basically Soft. The sentiment is stamped in Versa Mark then embossed with Green glitter EP. The edges are sponged. Both stips were vanilla stamped with Linen in Creamy Caramel. I tied some red cord around the sentiment stip. How'd I do?

Neutral Sensational Stitched Snowburst Snowflake

Here is my double challenge. I combined Today's Limited Supply Challenge to do SENSATIONAL SNOWFLAKES in neutral colors andThursday's Ways To Use It Challenge of STITCHES to sew or faux stitches. I inked the positive side of the Snowflake Cuttlebug folder with Going Grey and ran grey CS through it. Matted that on black. Then I stamped the snowflake in Going Grey on White and paper pierced the points. Sewed Black thread through the tallest points. Applied a clear gem in the center. I matted this on grey then black and centered it on the snowflake CB layer. Hope you like it :)

Jolly Ranchettes

This is for today's SKETCH CHALLENGE and Tuesday's COLOR CHALLENGE with an extra bonus to use these colors for a Christmas Card. Well my line dancing Jolly Ranchers needed some females to dance with so this is what I came up with. Hope you like it! Image is stamped with Black Stazon then colored with Pretty in Pink and Garden Green SU Markers on Water Color Paper. The ribbon was as close as I could come to a match. (NEED MORE RIBBON)lol.

Dirty Dozen Sketch and Product Challenge

This is for this months Dirty Dozen Sketch and Product Challenge using the Holiday theme. The designer paper is some I picked up at the Dollar Store last year in a scrapbook kit set. The image is one of Micheal's $1 stamps from last year. The hat is colored with real red Prisma Color Pencil and then blended with Gamsol. The rim and ball on the hat are covered with white glitter tulip puff paint. I love this stuff it leaves a raised effect and is really sparkly. The matt behind the image was cut with the Fiskars Circle then I used scallop decor scissors to trim around. This is not an easy task. The SCS site is quirky so I can not attach the sketch. I will try later. Off to work for now. Hope everyone has a great day and week.

FS41 Papermoon's Penguin

Congrats to you Shelly gurl as this weeks Featured Stamper. Since we recently swapped images I felt it only appropriate to CASE her Believe in the Season card she created from the image I sent her. I used the penguin image she sent me and changed the colors. Hope she likes it. Image is colored with Prismas and blended w/gamsol.

IC102 Fabulous Flowers

This is for today's Inspiration Challenge and I used Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge as well. The shimmer and glitter was my inspiration and Christmas theme. The Flowers was stamped in Versa Mark then heat embossed with Red Glitter EP. I stamped 2 and cut the center out of the one on the bottom to apply to the top with diminshions so it looks like there are 3 layers. Stamped the sentiment from Loads of Love on Green CS in Real Red and cut it as a tag. Tied red cord from the flower to the tag and attached the tag to the card with diminishions. I tied some red with white dots ribbon around the red layer but I think I will remove it, just does not seem to fit.

Heartfelt Heartspeak

This is for today's Limited Supply HEARTFELT Challenge combined with Tuesday's KRAFTYcolor challenge and this months dirty dozen Product & Material Focus to use glitter.I like how this turned out. I went back in the archives to find a sketch that I could use. I think it is #131. I cut around the heart and cut a matt around it out of Rose Red then distressed the RR edges.
Sorry for no post yesturday but I am still under the weather. Went to the Dr. and I am feeling some better today. Hopefully on the down side of this cold. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

SC150 Little Angel

This is for today's Sketch Challenge. MIL honored me last night with a request for a new baby girl card for the newest member to our family and well I had to do the SC anyway so ...I just love the shoes in this set from CTMH but then entire inside of the card (which would not take a good pic) is SU New Little Someone set that I also love when it comes to baby cards. All images are stamped in Pretty in Pink. The knot in the left corner of layer 3 is a paper knot taught to me by e3stamper (thanks Shannon). The desinger paper is Karen Foster. Hope I lived up to MIL expectations.
